Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Ausstatten von Behältern mit beleimten Etiketten gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1, wie bekannt aus US 2008/014344 A1 , und ein entsprechendes Verfahren.The invention relates to a device for equipping containers with glued labels according to the preamble of claim 1, as known from US 2008/014344 A1 , and a corresponding procedure.

Behälter, wie beispielsweise Getränkeflaschen oder dergleichen, lassen sich bekanntermaßen mit beleimten Etiketten ausstatten, die von einem endlosen Etikettenband ohne Trägerschicht nacheinander abgetrennt und auf kontinuierlich antransportierte Behälter mittels rotierender Applikationszylinder angebracht werden. Beispielsweise ist aus der DE 20 2005 002 793 U1 eine Vorrichtung zur Rundum-Etikettierung von Behältern bekannt. Hierbei wird ein Etikettenband auf eine Vakuumwalze geführt, die als Gegenschneide zum Vereinzeln der Etiketten durch Abschneiden vom Etikettenband dient. Die vereinzelten Etiketten werden an einen Greifzylinder übergeben, der die Etiketten an einer Beleimungsstation entlangführt. Anschließend wird jeweils ein beleimtes Etikett auf die Seitenwand eines Behälters vollumfänglich aufgewickelt. Das Etikettenende überlappt hierbei den Etikettenanfang und wird mit diesem verklebt. Um ein teilweises Übereinanderschieben der vereinzelten Etiketten bei der Übergabe von der Vakuumwalze an den Greifzylinder zu vermeiden, rotiert der Greifzylinder schneller als die Vakuumwalze. Für die Übergabe der beleimten Etiketten ist es ferner erforderlich, dass die unbeleimte Seite der Etiketten dem Greifzylinder zugewandt ist und die beleimte Seite der Vakuumwalze. Für das Zuführen des Etikettenbands ist eine ferner eine dynamische Zwischenspeicherung in Form einer variabel einstellbaren Etikettenbandschlaufe vorteilhaft, insbesondere bei einem unterbrechungsfreien Wechsel von Vorratsrollen für das Etikettenband. Aus der DE 35 19 595 A1 ist beispielsweise ein Schlaufenpuffer bekannt, bei dem eine Bandschlaufe mittels Schwerkraft zwischen zwei Führungsrollen durchhängt. Aus der US 3 594 257 ist ferner bekannt, das Durchhängen einer Bandschlaufe durch Anblasen mit einem Luftstrom zu unterstützen. Die gestellte Aufgabe wird mit einer Vorrichtung zum Ausstatten von Behältern mit beleimten Etiketten nach Anspruch 1 gelöst. Demnach umfasst diese unter anderem: auf einem Transportmittel umlaufende und um sich selbst drehbare Halterungen für die Behälter; eine Zuführeinheit zum Zuführen eines Etikettenbands, insbesondere eines beleimten Etikettenbands ohne Trägerschicht; eine Schneideinrichtung zum Unterteilen des Etikettenbands in Etikettensegmente mittels Querperforation; einen Transferzylinder zum Transfer des Etikettenbands im Kontakt mit dessen beleimter oder zu beleimender Seite; und einen Applikationszylinder, mit dem sich das Etikettenband auf den auf dem Transportmittel umlaufenden Behältern aufsetzen lässt.The object set is achieved with a device for equipping containers with glued labels according to claim 1. Bei einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform sind die Etikettenbänder vorbeleimt, sie werden der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung also bereits mit der Leimschicht versehen zugeführt. Bei einer weiteren günstigen Ausführungsform wird das Etikettenband nach der Perforation und vor der Vereinzelung zu Etiketten beleimt, insbesondere im Bereich des Applikationszylinders.
