Description

The invention relates to a method for producing filter cigarettes, wherein the filter cigarettes are each enveloped by a wrapping material using a first perforation means in the circumferential direction of the respective filter cigarettes revolving first perforation pattern is generated with perforations and using a second perforating next to the circumferential direction of the respective Filter cigarettes trainees or trained first perforation in at least one peripheral zone portion of the wrapping material of the filter cigarettes, a second perforation pattern is additionally generated with at least one or more perforation holes.

Furthermore, the invention relates to an apparatus for producing Filter cigarettes, wherein the filter cigarettes are each covered by a wrapping material.

In the production of cigarettes, in particular filter cigarettes, secondary air ducts in the form of holes or perforation holes are introduced in the region of the filter, through which the smoke is supplied to secondary air when pulling on the cigarettes. It is aimed at supplying a relatively large secondary air flow, which should be in a predetermined, as constant as possible ratio to the cigarettes leaving the total flow. This ratio is referred to as the total degree of ventilation. It is already known to provide cigarettes with holes, d. H. to perforate them, z. B. by rolling along an occupied with needles rolling surface.

It is also known to perforate cigarettes by means of laser beams, wherein in each case a certain number of holes with a desired overall cross-section is applied.

In order to keep the cigarettes of a brand with regard to condensate, nicotine and carbon monoxide (CO) in the smoke on the one hand, and on the other hand with regard to the smoker's registered behavior during smoking (taste per train, train number and draw resistance) as constant as possible, the partial ventilation levels, which make up the total Ventilationsgrad composed, be as constant as possible. This total degree of ventilation is made up of the degree of filter ventilation and the level of tobacco smoke ventilation, which must be within specified tolerances.

When packaging cigarettes on a filter tipping machine, in the manufactured filter cigarettes using a perforating device, a perforation of holes is made in the wrapping material or the wrapping strips of the bar-shaped articles brought in. In particular, a uniform perforation is thereby introduced into the wrapping strips, whereby the wrapping strips have a predetermined, desired air permeability during smoking, so that secondary air is sucked into the wrapping strips due to the perforation pattern introduced, with which the proportions of nicotine and condensate in the smoke are influenced. In particular, the perforation is introduced into the wrapping strips using laser beams as coherent radiation, resulting in a very accurate constant zone of desired air permeability in the wrapping of the smoking articles.

By forming perforations in the wrapping material of the rod-shaped articles, the wrapping is provided with a zone of predetermined air permeability to add a certain amount of fresh air to the smoke each time a cigarette is pulled. The wrapping material or wrapper strips of these articles are typically made of paper, whereby the wrapping material or wrapper strips are perforated at predetermined intervals to produce a desired air permeability. For filter cigarettes, it is common practice to make the perforations in the tipping paper leaflet at the mouthpiece side filter end.

The provision of articles of smoking with a zone of desired air permeability in the region of the mouthpiece end, a so-called ventilation zone, provides the articles with a predetermined (total) degree of ventilation to preset levels of nicotine and condensate in the smoke of a smoking article or filter cigarette with such zone to be able to comply with the desired air permeability.

Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is to provide filter cigarettes, in which it should be possible to adjust the degree of ventilation when smoking cigarettes individually and easily when using the filter cigarettes.

This object is achieved by a method for producing filter cigarettes, wherein the filter cigarettes are each enveloped by a wrapping material, wherein using a first perforating a circulating in the circumferential direction of the respective filter cigarettes first perforation pattern is generated with perforations and using a second perforating next to the in A second perforation pattern with at least one or more perforation holes is additionally generated in the circumferential direction of the respective filter cigarettes or formed first perforation pattern in at least one peripheral zone portion of the wrapping material of the filter cigarettes, which is further developed in that by means of the second perforating device in a plurality of peripheral zone sections, which in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes from each other are spaced apart, respectively, a second perforation pattern is generated and that in Ausbil tion of the second perforation pattern, the length of the peripheral zone section for one or the second perforation pattern smaller than half of the total circumferential length of respective filter cigarettes.

The invention is based on the idea that in the manufacture of filter cigarettes, for example, on a filter tying the filter cigarettes are made, wherein the filter cigarettes produced on this machine is formed with a predetermined degree of ventilation through the first perforation pattern with a plurality of perforations in the circumferential direction and additionally by a second perforation pattern In addition to the formed in the circumferential direction line-shaped first Perforationsmuster perforation holes of a second Perforationsmusters are introduced in the wrapping material, being kept by the handling of the filter cigarette smoking the Perforationslöcher the second Perforationsmusters in a manual manner or remain open, whereby the use of the filter cigarette ventilation degree by the handling of the consumer is individually influenced. For this purpose, or at least one second perforation pattern is formed in a peripheral zone section of the circumference of the wrapping material at a predetermined distance from the, for example, linear first perforation pattern. For this purpose, two separate perforation devices, in particular using a first laser and a second laser or a first laser beam and a second laser beam, are provided in order to use a first laser as the first perforation the first perforation pattern with ventilation holes (or perforation holes) in the envelope of the cigarette contribute. Using the second laser as the second perforating device, the second perforation pattern is inserted next to the first perforation pattern in the envelope of the cigarette. In this case, in particular, the perforation devices are operated and controlled independently of one another by means of a common control device or by means of a respective control device.

It is provided within the scope of the invention that in addition to the first standardized perforation pattern for a predetermined degree of ventilation of a product variety or cigarette type, the second perforation pattern without the filter cigarettes individualized or individualizing perforation holes, i. standardized perforation holes are introduced into the enclosure of the filter cigarettes in a finite zone portion of the circumference of the wrapping material, so that by the second perforation pattern, the smoking of the cigarette by manually closing the perforation holes of the second perforation pattern or by leaving the perforation individually the ventilation by the consumer is adjustable accordingly. Here, the length of the peripheral zone portion for the second perforation pattern is smaller than the entire circumferential length of the filter cigarettes.

For this purpose, it is provided in the invention that the produced filter cigarettes also have two juxtaposed, preferably standardized, first perforation with perforation holes and in addition to the standardized, circumferential first Perforationsmustern also have a plurality of second perforation, wherein the second perforation pattern by a second perforation, in particular a second laser, and wherein the second perforation patterns are spaced from each other at the periphery of the manufactured filter cigarettes.

In particular, it is provided in the context of the invention that the second additionally generated in comparison to the first perforation smaller or circumferentially shorter perforation pattern has a plurality of perforation holes or ventilation holes and wherein the second perforation pattern in a limited peripheral zone section is formed in the circumferential direction.

In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the second perforation pattern differs from the first perforation pattern. Thus, the two formed perforation patterns can be different.

For this purpose, it is provided in a development that by means of the second perforation device in a plurality, preferably two, peripheral zone sections of the filter cigarettes, in the circumferential direction and in the longitudinal direction of the filter cigarettes, i. in the longitudinal axial direction, are spaced apart from each other, a second perforation pattern is generated. In this case, for example, a filter cigarette has two second, standardized perforation patterns, preferably with a plurality of perforation holes, wherein the two second perforation patterns are spaced apart from one another.

In particular, it is provided in the context of the invention that in each case a second perforation pattern is generated on the circumference in two diametrically opposite peripheral zone sections or is. This makes it possible to form two second perforation patterns on the wrapping material in such a way that during manual handling of a filter cigarette when holding the filter cigarettes with two fingers, the additionally formed perforation patterns can be kept closed. If additional air is sucked in smoking the filter cigarette through the perforation holes of the second perforation, the second Perforationsmuster be held without contact with the fingers between the fingers in the open state.

In the context of the invention it is provided that the wrapping material of the filter cigarettes, for example cigarette paper and / or Tipping paper is produced by means of a first laser formed as a first perforation perforation holes according to a predetermined pattern, wherein the perforation holes are generated by a correspondingly pulsed first laser beam of the first laser. In this case, the optical elements provided for the formation of the first perforation pattern are arranged and controlled in such a way that a circular line closed and circulating around the circumference of the filter cigarette is formed with perforation holes. In addition, according to a second predetermined and standardized pattern, perforation holes for the second perforation pattern are generated in predetermined and spaced-apart circumferential zone zones by means of a second corresponding pulsed and separately controllable second laser beam of a second laser.

In a preferred embodiment of the method is provided that when forming the second, preferably standardized, perforation, the length of the peripheral zone portion for a second or the second perforation pattern, in particular for perforation with multiple perforation holes less than one third of the total circumferential length or less than a quarter of entire circumferential length of the respective filter cigarettes.

For this purpose, it is preferred in a further development of the method that, when generating at least two second perforation patterns, in particular perforation patterns with a plurality of perforation holes, the distance between two second perforation patterns in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes is greater than the length of the second perforation pattern.

Insbesondere wird oder ist das erste Perforationsmuster mit in Umfangsrichtung der Filterzigaretten regelmäßig angeordneten Perforationslöchern erzeugtIn particular, the first perforation pattern is or is provided with perforation holes arranged regularly in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes generated

In addition, in one embodiment of the method, it is favorable that the first perforation device, in particular a first laser, and the second perforation device, in particular a second laser, are controlled independently of one another by means of a preferably common control device for generating the first and second perforation patterns.

Moreover, it is advantageous in one embodiment that the first perforation pattern and the second perforation pattern are produced on a tipping paper formed as a wrapping material for the filter of the filter cigarettes.

Further, a further development of the method is characterized in that after the production of the first and the second perforation downstream of the first and the second perforating the perforated filter cigarettes are tested, in particular the filter cigarettes of a visual inspection and / or a ventilation test and / or a Zugwiderstandsprüfung be subjected. The filter cigarettes are used in their manufacture as well as in the formation of the perforation pattern e.g. conveyed transaxially on a filter attachment machine on conveyor drums, wherein in the transverse axial conveying direction of the filter cigarettes after and downstream of the perforation, the testing of the filter cigarettes preferably takes place.

For this purpose, according to an embodiment of the method, provision is made in particular for the first perforation pattern and the second perforation pattern to be produced in or on the same conveying member, in particular the same conveying drum, in the wrapping material of the filter cigarettes. Here are at a processing station the two perforation arranged on a common conveying member, in particular a common conveyor drum. Preferably, for this purpose, the conveyor drum is designed as a so-called laser drum with two perforation devices, which are each provided with a laser beam source, whereby a perforation station for the filter cigarettes for a device or a filter attachment machine is provided.

In one embodiment of the method it is further proposed that the first perforation pattern is produced in or on a first conveying member, in particular conveying drum, in the wrapping material of the filter cigarettes and the second perforation pattern in or on a second conveying member, in particular second conveying drum, in the wrapping material of the Filter cigarettes is generated respectively.

Moreover, in the production of perforated filter cigarettes with individually adjustable by the consumer and variably adjustable ventilation degree, it is provided that the first perforation pattern is generated in the wrapping material before wrapping the cigarettes to be wrapped and the second perforation pattern after wrapping the cigarettes with the wrapping material is generated in the wrapping material of the cigarettes, respectively. As a result, before the supply of a wrapping strip to a filter cigarette still to be wrapped, a portion of the wrapping material provided for the wrapping is provided with a first perforation pattern. After the wrapping or wrapping of the filter cigarettes, the second perforation pattern is introduced into the wrapping material by means of a second perforation device at a processing station.

Furthermore, the object is achieved by a device for producing filter cigarettes, wherein the filter cigarettes are each enveloped by a wrapping material, in particular for carrying out the method described above, wherein a first perforating means is provided, so that using the first perforating means in a circumferential direction of the respective Filterholes circulating first perforation pattern is provided with perforation holes, wherein a second perforating means is provided, so that using the second perforation next to the circumferentially of the respective filter cigarettes or formed first perforation pattern in several peripheral zone portions of the wrapping material of the filter cigarettes "spaced in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes from each other In addition, a second perforation pattern having at least one or more perforation holes is additionally generated wherein, when forming a second perforation pattern, the length of the peripheral zone portion for one or the second perforation pattern is less than half the total circumferential length of the respective filter cigarettes, and wherein the first perforating means is provided in or on a first conveyor drum and the second perforating means is in or on a second conveyor drum is provided.

For example, the method is carried out on a filter attachment machine as a device for producing filter cigarettes with variably adjustable degree of ventilation, which is designed to carry out the method described above.

In addition, an embodiment of the device is characterized in that in the conveying direction of the filter cigarettes downstream of the first and the second perforation device is provided with a test device for the filter cigarettes perforated with a first and second perforation pattern, in particular for carrying out an optical test, eg by means of a camera, and / or a ventilation test and / or a draw resistance test.

Fig. 1 zeigt schematisch den Aufbau einer Filterzigarette 100. Fig. 1 schematically shows the structure of a filter cigarette 100. In this case, the filter cigarette 100 is divided into a tobacco stick 101 and a filter 8. The tobacco stick 101 is or is surrounded by a porous cigarette wrapping strip as the wrapping strip 103. For this purpose, the wrapping strip 103 is previously wrapped around the tobacco rod in a stranding machine, not shown. Of the wrapped tobacco rod, a tobacco rod is subsequently two times Cut utility length and further divided this below in the center of easy use length. Ventilation holes as perforation holes 104 of a first perforation pattern and, additionally, ventilation holes as perforation holes 105 of a second perforation pattern 5 of the lining paper 9 are introduced into a tipping paper strip 9 of the coated filter 8 designed as a wrapping material strip.

The perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern 4 are linear or punctiform and circumferentially formed over the entire circumference of the filter cigarette or the filter plug or the filter 8 in the tipping paper strip 9. The perforation holes 105 are formed in a limited peripheral zone portion of the tipping paper strip 9 and are only partially formed circumferentially in a predetermined area or in a zone of the tipping paper strip 9 next to the first perforation pattern 4 as a second perforation pattern 5 on the front side. Here, the perforation holes 105 of the second perforation pattern 5 are a predetermined distance in the longitudinal axial direction of the filter cigarette 100, i. displaced in the longitudinal direction or spaced.

In addition, another (not visible here) second perforation 5 on the back of the filter cigarette 100 and the tipping paper strip 9 is formed so that the two second perforation 5 are arranged or formed diametrically opposite the circumference of the filter cigarette 100. Preferably, the length of the second perforation patterns 5 in the circumferential direction, which is determined by the two perforation holes 105 at both ends of the perforation pattern 5 in a peripheral zone section, is in the range of three to eight millimeters. In particular, the number of perforation holes 105 can be predetermined, the second perforation pattern 5 has a plurality of perforation holes 105.

It is also conceivable within the scope of the invention that instead of a plurality of perforation holes 105, one or more perforation slots having a predetermined length are formed in a defined peripheral zone section of the tipping paper strip 9. In addition to the slot-like shape for perforation holes 105 of a second perforation pattern 5, the perforation holes 105 may also have a round or oval shape.

Eine derartige Filteransetzvorrichtung oder Filteransetzmaschine ist unter der Bezeichnung "MAX" der HAUNI Maschinenbau AG, Hamburg, bekannt. Fig. 2 schematically shows a Filteransetzvorrichtung 2 in the neck. Such a filter attachment device or filter attachment machine is known under the name "MAX" of HAUNI Maschinenbau AG, Hamburg.

After being manufactured on a (cigarette) stranding machine, the tobacco rods of double useful length are conveyed to the filter attachment device 2 and transferred to it, cut there into simple use length and spaced apart and connected with filter plugs of double use length inserted therebetween. For this purpose, the filter plug also a tipping paper strip is fed, which deducted from a tipping paper roll or reel, glued and sliced in leaflets, which are called on tipping paper leaflets. By rolling on a stationary counter rolling surface, for example, the filter cigarettes 100 are assembled into filter cigarettes 100 with axially aligned filter plugs.

When producing double-filter cigarettes with two outer tobacco rods and filter plug of double use length arranged inside, these above-mentioned groups are after being joined by glued cover sheets by means of central cutting separated from each other, thus forming two webs of cross-promoted cigarettes. The filter cigarettes 100 of one web are subsequently turned over and merged with the filter cigarettes 100 of the other web and then conveyed away into a web transversely for further processing.

In order to be able to supply secondary air to the smoke of the filter cigarettes, perforation holes 104 of a first perforation pattern are inserted into the filter sticks enveloped by a wrapping strip and / or filter pads enveloped by the covering paper leaflet using a first perforating device 16.1 with a first laser 17.1, preferably for each web of transversely promoted cigarettes a laser 17.1 is provided.

A laser beam 18.1 emanating from a first controllable laser 17.1 passes through the mirrors 19.a and 19.b as well as a lens 21.1 onto the filter 8, so that perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern are produced by the covering paper strip using the pulsed laser beam 18.1 of the laser 17.1 Filter cigarettes 100 are fired so that when pulling on the filter cigarette 100 cool secondary air can enter through the perforation holes 104 of the first perforation in the filter 8 and / or tobacco stick 101, where they mix with the flowing through the filter cigarette 100 smoke flow.

Fig. 1) unabhängig voneinander erzeugt werden. Further, using a second perforating device 16.2 with a second laser 17.2, the perforation holes 105 of the second perforation pattern 5 are formed in predetermined small peripheral zone portions of the tipping paper strip 9. In this case, the laser beam 18.2 emanating from the controllable second laser 17.2 is guided via mirrors 19.c and 19.d as well as a lens 21.2 onto the surface of the filter cigarette 100 to be perforated that the two perforation patterns 4, 5 (cf. Fig. 1 ) are generated independently of each other. Here, the first laser 17.1 is regularly pulsed at the same time intervals and operated in the so-called standard mode, while the second laser 17.2 at predetermined locations of the circumference of the filter cigarette 100 by means of a predetermined pulse sequence the tipping paper strip 9 perforated sections. By controlling the second laser 17. 2, two zones formed diametrically opposite the periphery of the filter cigarette 100 are preferably formed with the second perforation pattern 5.

In the perforation process is a filter cigarette 100 on a perforation drum 22 on which it is conveyed in the direction of arrow 23 and thereby held by suction in channels 24 in troughs 26. A rolling device in the form of a rolling cam 29 rotating in accordance with arrow 28 rolls the filter cigarettes 100 in each case at a rolling point such that they interrupt their conveying movement in the direction of the arrow 23 during rolling by relatively rolling back on the circumference of the testing drum 22. Therefore, the laser beam 18.1, which is output in the form of pulses from the first laser 17.1, sequentially burn or form perforation holes 104 for the first perforation pattern in the filter plug 8, which are then in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes 100 in a row in a row. In a corresponding manner, the perforation holes 105 of the second perforation pattern are formed in the tipping paper strip 9 by means of pulsed laser beams 18.2 of the second laser 17.2.

The timing of the beginning of the perforation of a filter cigarette 100 and the individual laser pulses in one embodiment are triggered by a (not shown here cam, so that corresponding control signals are provided by a sensor provided on the roll cam 29 (not shown here) to a control device 36 of the first laser 17.1 and the second laser 17.2.

Instead of the cams mentioned, an opto-electronic or magneto-electronic rotary pulse generator or even a resolver can be provided in a further embodiment.

In the context of the invention, other control operations of the perforation device 16.1 or 16.2 are conceivable to introduce or form corresponding perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern, which are also called ventilation holes, or corresponding perforation holes 105 of the second perforation pattern in the wrapping strips of the filter cigarettes 100.

Following the perforation drum 22 are in the conveying direction of the filter cigarettes 100 to a conveyor drum 30 and subsequent conveyor drums 39, 40 further promoted to Perforationsmuster in the respective cigarette wrapper 103 and / or in the respective tipping paper 9 of the individual rod-shaped filter cigarettes 100 and optionally using on subjected to the conveyor drums 39, 40 arranged optical inspection systems of an optical inspection. Here, the conveyor drum 30 may also or additionally have pneumatic-electronic test systems.

By means of the control device 36, the first laser 17.2 for generating the first perforation pattern 104 and the second laser 17.2 for generating the second perforation pattern 105 are separately controlled.

In Fig. 3 a developed perforated strip of cigarette wrapping material is shown schematically as a tipping paper strip 9, by means of which a cigarette is enveloped which has perforation holes 104 in the circumferential direction at regular intervals.

In Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a filter cigarette 100 shown in the cutout, with only a second perforation 5 at the top of the filter cigarette 100 is visible.

The perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern 4 are formed circumferentially by means of a first perforation device, as described above by way of example, in the tipping paper strip 9 in a line shape in the circumferential direction. In this case, the perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern 4 running in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes have a predetermined constant length, whereby the spacing in the circumferential direction between two perforation holes 104 is also kept constant in each case. Due to the formation of equidistantly arranged, equally long perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern 4, a predetermined degree of ventilation of the cigarette is formed.

The perforation holes 104 of the first perforation pattern 4 are according to the embodiment FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 evenly distributed over the entire circumference of the cigarettes.

In addition, is off FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 it can be seen that the two second perforation patterns 5 are spaced apart in the longitudinal axial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the filter cigarettes 100. In this case, in particular, the first perforation pattern 4 is arranged at the mouthpiece-side end of the tipping paper strip 9, while the distance between the two second perforation pattern 5 from mouthpiece-side end is greater than the distance of the first perforation pattern 4 from the mouthpiece end. Typically, the distance of the first perforation pattern 4 from the mouthpiece end is between 10 to 20 mm. The distance between the first perforation pattern 4 and the second perforation pattern 5 is typically between 10 to 20 mm.

The perforation holes 105 of the second perforation pattern 5 (see. Fig. 3 ) are also arranged equidistantly on the circumference of the tipping paper strip 9, wherein the perforation holes 105 are each the same length. In the context of the invention, it is also possible that the perforation holes 105 of the perforation 5 are arranged differently long and irregular.
