Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective helmet, in particular for sports purposes, in particular a bicycle helmet, ski helmet, skating helmet, riding helmet or motorcycle helmet having at least one taillight device.
- protective helmets with front and rear light devices are known in the art, differing in the mounting of the light devices on the helmet.
- the lighting devices are usually not removable attached.
- the known lighting systems either have the disadvantage that they are not detachable from the helmet due to their fixed connection and integration with the helmet, or they have the disadvantage that they are relatively difficult to access in the case of mounting in the size adjustment systems and thus are difficult to use, while they stand next to unimpeded operation of the size adjustment system in the way.
- Such a protective helmet is in DE 20 2008 011 289 U1 disclosed.
- a protective helmet in particular for sports purposes, in particular a bicycle helmet, ski helmet, skating helmet, riding helmet or motorcycle helmet comprising at least one taillight device, on its rear outer side at least one opening for receiving a rear light device, wherein in the opening a mounting device is arranged, the the taillight device releasably holds, and wherein the mounting device is formed as a rear support for a belt, which serves for attachment of the protective helmet to the head of the helmet wearer.
- the protective helmet has a rear light device which is arranged in a rear opening of the helmet, wherein the rear light device is held in the opening of a holding device, which also has the function of a tether of the helmet in the rear region of the helmet hold.
- the attachment of the rear light device in a rear opening of the helmet on the one hand has the advantage that the rear light is integrated into the helmet and not attached to the outside of the helmet.
- the tail light is thus "tidy" and does not interfere with the helmet from or beyond its outer circumference out before.
- the taillight device since the taillight device is detachably attached to the retainer device in the rear helmet opening, it may be easily detached from the helmet as needed, for example, when it is not needed and the helmet is to be used without the taillight, or if, for example, the taillight device housing integrated battery should be replaced.
- the arrangement of the taillight device in the rear opening of the helmet also avoids attachment of the tail light in the region of or on a size adjustment system of the helmet, whereby these various functions of the helmet are separated from each other and do not interfere with each other.
- the rear light device is held in the rear helmet opening by a mounting device to which the helmet seat belt is attached in the rear region of the helmet.
- the rear attachment point of the tether is typically mounted in or integrated with an interior region of the helmet body in which the rear opening is located in the protective helmet of the present invention.
- the rear attachment of the tether according to the invention thus laid in the rear opening, where there is a mounting device is provided, which also serves to fasten the belt and for holding the tail light. It is therefore no longer necessary on the one hand to provide a fastening device for the belt and, on the other hand, separate from it a mounting device for the tail light.
- the belt fastening device is thus also not in the way of the rear light fastening device in the rear region of the helmet (and vice versa). Rather, these two functions are inventively integrated into each other.
- the support device in the rear opening of the helmet has fastening means with which it is fixed in the body of the helmet, and that the support device is designed as an abutment for the belt such that at a tensile load of the Gurts absorbed in the holder device energy is absorbed in the body of the protective helmet.
- the mounting device has in particular a cross member, at the two lateral ends fastening lugs are arranged, with which the mounting device is mounted in side regions of the rear opening in the helmet body.
- the cross member preferably has an opening through which the belt extends and which is formed such that the belt is clamped at a tensile stress occurring at a certain angle in the cross member.
- the attachment lugs on the cross member are in particular hook-like and anchored for the attachment of the support device in the helmet body.
- the opening in the cross member preferably extends with a slot-like profile in the longitudinal direction of the cross member.
- the rear light device has a housing, on the outside of which one or more light sources, in particular light-emitting diodes (LEDs), are arranged.
- LEDs light-emitting diodes
- On the housing holding means are provided, in particular in the form of projections or depressions which engage in formed on the cross member of the holding device corresponding holding means, in particular in the form of projections or recesses, to secure the backlight device to the mounting device.
- the holding devices on the housing and / or the cross member of the holding device are preferably made of a material, in particular a plastic material having a flexibility or elasticity such that the holding means of the housing can detachably engage in the cross member, so there in particular engage. This engagement connection between the holding means of the housing and the cross member of the mounting device thus allows the rear light device can be detached from the mounting device and thus removed from the helmet opening.
- the housing of the taillight device has an outer shape which substantially corresponds to the shape of the rear opening of the helmet, so that the taillight device can be inserted into the opening in a relatively precise fit and with a positive fit.
- the rear light housing is arranged substantially flush with the contour of the outside of the helmet in the opening, that is, the lines of the rear light housing corresponds approximately to the lines of the helmet outside. This ensures that the tail light substantially does not project beyond the helmet surface and in particular does not protrude distractingly from the helmet.
- the coordination and adaptation of the lines and outer shape of the tail light to the lines and shaping of the outer back of the helmet also provides an aesthetic, visually appealing appearance and design.
- Fig. 1 first shows a protective helmet 10 for sports purposes in a perspective view obliquely from behind, in particular a bicycle helmet.
- the protective helmet 10 has in the center behind an opening 12, which preferably forms a complete passage from the helmet outside to the helmet side.
- the opening 12 may also be formed only on the helmet back, that it is closed to the helmet inner side and thus does not form a passage from the helmet outside to the inside.
- the opening 12 serves to receive a rear light device 30, which can be inserted into the opening 12 and removed therefrom.
- a holding device 20 is arranged, which receives the rear light 30 and in particular holds such that it can not fall out of the opening 12 when using the helmet. The latter is particularly important when the helmet is used for sports purposes, such as cycling or skiing.
- the opening 12 is designed in its shape so that the tail light is easily accessible to turn it on or off in the inserted state and to be able to remove it from the opening can.
- the retainer device 20 in the rear helmet opening 12 is also designed as a rear support or as an abutment for a belt (not shown), which typically extends from the inside of the helmet around the chin of the helmet wearer for attachment of the helmet to the head of the helmet wearer.
- a belt typically extends from the inside of the helmet around the chin of the helmet wearer for attachment of the helmet to the head of the helmet wearer.
- Helmhaltegurte are attached to three points on the inside of the helmet, namely either laterally or laterally forward in the region of the temples or the ears of the helmet wearer and the center of the rear helmet inner wall.
- the holding device 20 is designed in particular in the form of a substantially horizontally or transversely extending carrier or web 22.
- This cross member 22 is as such in Fig. 3 shown in a state not installed in the helmet.
- the web or cross member 22 has at its two lateral ends in each case a fastening lug 24, with which it is fastened at the respective end within the opening 12 and in particular in the side regions of the opening 12 in the body of the protective helmet 10.
- the attachment lugs 24 at the two lateral ends of the cross member 22 are in particular designed with a hook-like or other, comparable structure that they can be foamed in the course of the production of the helmet in the EPS material of the body of the helmet and at the end thus a stable Ensure anchoring of the cross member 22 in the helmet body.
- the web or cross member 22 further has an opening 28 extending in its longitudinal direction or a corresponding slot through which the tether is passed.
- the opening or the slot 28 is formed with a profile such that the running through it belt is clamped at a occurring at a certain angle tensile load in the cross member 22, while the belt loosely at a tensile load acting at a different angle the slot-like opening 28 can be pulled through.
- the cross member 22 with the longitudinally profiled slot opening 28 and the two laterally arranged fastening lugs 24 of the cross member 22 serves as a total articulation point and as an abutment for the belt at the central back of the helmet.
- the cross member 22 By means of this particular embodiment of the cross member 22, it can in case of a load of the helmet in an accident of the helmet wearer ensure that the jerky initiated via the belt at this point energy is introduced via the attachment lugs 24 in the EPS body of the helmet and recorded there wherein the belt is simultaneously clamped in the transverse slot 28. As a result, a resistance is caused so that the helmet remains securely attached to the head of his wearer and thus fulfills its protective function.
- the support device 20 in the form of the cross member 22 thus serves not only for attachment of the belt rear center on the helmet side, but in a "smart" way in particular as an energy absorbing abutment for the belt.
- the mounting device 20 in addition to the above-described attachment of the belt at the same time also serves to receive and support the rear light 30.
- the cross member 22nd Projections or recesses 26 which cooperate with correspondingly formed, corresponding projections or depressions 34, 36 on the rear light device 30.
- these mutual projections or depressions engage with each other in such a way that the taillight device 30 can be firmly and securely, but nevertheless releasably secured to the mounting device 20.
- the rear light device 30 has a housing 32, on the underside holding means 34 are arranged, with which the housing 32 and thus the tail light 30 can be mounted on the mounting device 20 in total.
- the holding means 34 suitably consist of projections or retaining lugs 36, which are designed such that they engage in the corresponding protrusions or recesses 26, which are formed on the cross member 22 of the holding device 20 in a clamp-like, flexible and elastic manner.
- the holding devices 34 are arranged essentially on the underside of the housing 32, so that the rear light is placed essentially from above on the mounting device 20 (as shown in FIG Fig. 1 is shown).
- the holding means 34 are arranged at other suitable locations of the housing 32, for example at its top or its back (ie, the front in the direction of travel of the housing).
- the rear light housing 32 is then placed from below or from behind on the mounting device 20.
- the holding means 34 must be formed on the housing 32 so that the housing is firmly held on the mounting device 20 and does not fall down.
- the rear light device 30 on the outside of its housing 32 has one or preferably a plurality of light-emitting diodes 40.
- the in the Figs. 3 and 4 shown taillight device 30 has on the rearwardly facing outside of the housing 32 by way of example three vertically stacked light emitting diodes 40 and on the lateral outer side of the housing 32 two superimposed light-emitting diodes 40. This arrangement ensures visibility of the light emitted by the light-emitting diodes 40 from behind and from the side or from the side behind (cf. Fig. 2 ).
- any other desired arrangement of light emitting diodes 40 on the rear light device 30 can be realized, such as an arrangement of a plurality of light emitting diodes 40 vertically above each other as a "band" on the back of the housing 32nd
- the rear light device 30 is realized as a compact, integrated functional unit, which alone is fully functional.
- a control electronics and at least one battery are housed in the housing 32, and on the outside of the housing 32 is connected to the light emitting diodes 40 and the control electronics and the battery Switch 38 for switching on and off of the LEDs 40 is arranged.
- the taillight device 30 thus requires no external battery and / or control electronics, whereby the use of any external connection cable is avoided. Due to the compact design and the integration of all components required for the function in the housing 32, the taillight device 30 has a low weight and is therefore flexible and easy to use. Thus, the user of the protective helmet can use the rear light device 30 even without the helmet 10 taken by itself, for example in the manner of a flashlight.
- the taillight device 30 has a total and in particular the housing 32 has an outer shape substantially corresponding to the shape of the rear opening 12 of the helmet 10.
- the taillight device 30 can be inserted into the opening 12 more or less accurately, the housing 32 of the taillight with its rearwardly facing outer side being substantially flush with the rearward outside of the helmet 10 in the opening 12, that is to say the lines and contour of the helmet in its lower and upper rear area corresponds (see. Fig. 2 ).
- the tail light in this way is integrated into the helmet back so that it does not protrude beyond the helmet outside or protrudes from the helmet, and that it does not interfere with other functions of the helmet, such as a band-like size adjustment system, usually below the rear lower edge of the helmet is arranged.
- the housing 32 of the taillight assembly 30 and the rear opening 12 of the protective helmet 10 have a substantially triangular, downwardly tapered shape
- the rear light device 30 and the receiving rear opening 12 have a different shape
- a substantially triangular, upwardly tapered shape or a substantially round or substantially rectangular shape.
- a plurality of taillights are provided with their corresponding helmet openings, for example, two juxtaposed rear lights. The above-described principle of the present invention can then be readily applied and applied to these multiple taillights and their associated helmet openings.
- the opening 12 is advantageously designed so that the attached to the rear light housing 32 switch 38 is also accessible when the rear light 30 is inserted into the helmet opening 12.
- the helmet opening 12 is open at its upper end so that the switch 38 arranged at the top of the housing 32 is accessible and actuatable.
- the protective helmet 10 would have an opening corresponding to the opening 12 with a holder of the device 20 corresponding holder for receiving the light device on its front.
- the protective helmet 10 would have an opening corresponding to the opening 12 with a holder of the device 20 corresponding holder for receiving the light device on its front.
- the above applies analogously for such a front light.

Description
The invention relates to a protective helmet, in particular for sports purposes, in particular a bicycle helmet, ski helmet, skating helmet, riding helmet or motorcycle helmet having at least one taillight device.
Protective helmets with front and rear light devices are known in the art, differing in the mounting of the light devices on the helmet. For example, protective helmets are known in which lamps such as lamps or light-emitting diodes are attached to the outside of the helmet shell or integrated into the helmet shell or in the EPS body of the helmet (EPS = Expanded Polystyrenes). In this case, the lighting devices are usually not removable attached. Furthermore, it is known in the prior art to attach light devices (in particular light-emitting diodes) to a size-adjustable headband of the protective helmet as well as to a rotary button-operated size adjustment system of the protective helmet, wherein such size adjustment devices are typically arranged in the region or below the rear lower edge of the protective helmet ,
The known lighting systems either have the disadvantage that they are not detachable from the helmet due to their fixed connection and integration with the helmet, or they have the disadvantage that they are relatively difficult to access in the case of mounting in the size adjustment systems and thus are difficult to use, while they stand next to unimpeded operation of the size adjustment system in the way.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to overcome these disadvantages of the prior art and in particular to provide an improved protective helmet with a taillight device that is flexible to handle and in particular removable from the helmet, and also easily accessible and light for the helmet wearer is operable without obstructing other functions of the protective helmet, such as the operation of a size adjustment system.
This object is achieved by a protective helmet according to claim 1. Accordingly, a protective helmet, in particular for sports purposes, in particular a bicycle helmet, ski helmet, skating helmet, riding helmet or motorcycle helmet comprising at least one taillight device, on its rear outer side at least one opening for receiving a rear light device, wherein in the opening a mounting device is arranged, the the taillight device releasably holds, and wherein the mounting device is formed as a rear support for a belt, which serves for attachment of the protective helmet to the head of the helmet wearer.
According to the invention it is thus provided that the protective helmet has a rear light device which is arranged in a rear opening of the helmet, wherein the rear light device is held in the opening of a holding device, which also has the function of a tether of the helmet in the rear region of the helmet hold.
The attachment of the rear light device in a rear opening of the helmet on the one hand has the advantage that the rear light is integrated into the helmet and not attached to the outside of the helmet. The tail light is thus "tidy" and does not interfere with the helmet from or beyond its outer circumference out before. Furthermore, since the taillight device is detachably attached to the retainer device in the rear helmet opening, it may be easily detached from the helmet as needed, for example, when it is not needed and the helmet is to be used without the taillight, or if, for example, the taillight device housing integrated battery should be replaced. The arrangement of the taillight device in the rear opening of the helmet also avoids attachment of the tail light in the region of or on a size adjustment system of the helmet, whereby these various functions of the helmet are separated from each other and do not interfere with each other.
In addition, the rear light device is held in the rear helmet opening by a mounting device to which the helmet seat belt is attached in the rear region of the helmet. In conventional protective helmets, the rear attachment point of the tether is typically mounted in or integrated with an interior region of the helmet body in which the rear opening is located in the protective helmet of the present invention. The rear attachment of the tether according to the invention thus laid in the rear opening, where there is a mounting device is provided, which also serves to fasten the belt and for holding the tail light. It is therefore no longer necessary on the one hand to provide a fastening device for the belt and, on the other hand, separate from it a mounting device for the tail light. The belt fastening device is thus also not in the way of the rear light fastening device in the rear region of the helmet (and vice versa). Rather, these two functions are inventively integrated into each other.
According to one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the support device in the rear opening of the helmet has fastening means with which it is fixed in the body of the helmet, and that the support device is designed as an abutment for the belt such that at a tensile load of the Gurts absorbed in the holder device energy is absorbed in the body of the protective helmet. For this purpose, the mounting device has in particular a cross member, at the two lateral ends fastening lugs are arranged, with which the mounting device is mounted in side regions of the rear opening in the helmet body. The cross member preferably has an opening through which the belt extends and which is formed such that the belt is clamped at a tensile stress occurring at a certain angle in the cross member. The attachment lugs on the cross member are in particular hook-like and anchored for the attachment of the support device in the helmet body. The opening in the cross member preferably extends with a slot-like profile in the longitudinal direction of the cross member.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the rear light device has a housing, on the outside of which one or more light sources, in particular light-emitting diodes (LEDs), are arranged. On the housing holding means are provided, in particular in the form of projections or depressions which engage in formed on the cross member of the holding device corresponding holding means, in particular in the form of projections or recesses, to secure the backlight device to the mounting device. The holding devices on the housing and / or the cross member of the holding device are preferably made of a material, in particular a plastic material having a flexibility or elasticity such that the holding means of the housing can detachably engage in the cross member, so there in particular engage. This engagement connection between the holding means of the housing and the cross member of the mounting device thus allows the rear light device can be detached from the mounting device and thus removed from the helmet opening.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the housing of the taillight device has an outer shape which substantially corresponds to the shape of the rear opening of the helmet, so that the taillight device can be inserted into the opening in a relatively precise fit and with a positive fit. The rear light housing is arranged substantially flush with the contour of the outside of the helmet in the opening, that is, the lines of the rear light housing corresponds approximately to the lines of the helmet outside. This ensures that the tail light substantially does not project beyond the helmet surface and in particular does not protrude distractingly from the helmet. Last but not least, the coordination and adaptation of the lines and outer shape of the tail light to the lines and shaping of the outer back of the helmet also provides an aesthetic, visually appealing appearance and design.

The
The
The web or
The web or
Due to this particular embodiment of the
An essential feature of the invention is that the
In particular, the
For this engagement between the projections or recesses 26 of the
The

Finally, it is also conceivable to transfer the principle of the present invention to a headlight of the protective helmet. For this purpose, the
