The object of the invention is to provide a method for producing a double-sided velvet ribbon and a ribbon loom for carrying out such a method and to provide a produced by the method or on the ribbon loom double-sided velvet ribbon.
Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß gelöst durch:
- a) ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Samtbandes nach Anspruch 1;
- a) a method for producing a velvet ribbon according to claim 1;
- b) a ribbon loom for carrying out the method according to claim 5; such as
- c) a velvet ribbon resulting from the process of (a) on a machine according to (b) (see Article 64 (2) EPC) .
By weaving three bands lying one above the other at a mutual distance and connecting them by pile threads, one obtains a middle band which has pile threads on both sides and an upper and lower band which each is provided only on one side with a pile. First, the pile threads are cut at a first cutting device between the middle band and a first band and then separated at a second cutting device, the pile threads between the middle band and the second band. The middle band then provides the desired two-sided velvet ribbon, while the upper and lower bands are discharged as waste.
For the preparation, various methods are suitable; Particularly advantageous is the method according to
The ribbon loom for the production of the tape has according to claim 5 three spaced apart and superimposed weaving sites, each with a weft insertion member and a shedding device for opening three sheds and laying of the weaves connecting pile threads on. The weaving station is followed by a first cutting device for cutting the pile threads between the middle strip and a first strip and a second cutting device for cutting the pile threads between the middle strip and the second strip.
In order to enable an exact cutting of the pile threads at a certain florhöhe, it is advantageous according to
According to
Various ribbon weaving machines are suitable for carrying out the method, however, a needle ribbon loom with three weft insertion needles arranged one above the other is particularly advantageous.
The novel double-sided velvet tape allows new and improved applications.

The
The
The
The illustrated needle rollers may be replaced individually or all by other rollers having sufficiently non-slip surfaces, such as those having a roughened surface or provided with a rubber sheath.
The upper or lower bands, which are generally removed as waste, may optionally also be used as single-sided velvet belts.
