Das Aussengehäuse weist Ansaug-Lüftöffnungen für ein Kühlgebläse auf und zumindest eine Kühlluftleitung zum Kühlgebläse ist an der Schlagwerksbaugruppe angeordnet. Dieses Elektrohandwerkzeug weist einen guten Wirkungsgrad auf, da ein Luftkurzschluss zwischen dem Ansaugbereich und dem Ausblasbereich weitgehend verhindert ist. Nachteilig an der bekannten Lösung ist, dass ein geringer Anteil der angesaugten Kühlluft innerhalb des Aussengehäuses zirkulieren und Feuchtigkeit, z. B. bei einem Einsatz des Elektrohandwerkzeuges im Regen, in das Aussengehäuse eindringen kann, welche durch den Luftstrom nicht wieder aus dem Elektrogerät abgeführt wird. Die Abmessungen, insbesondere die maximale Längserstreckung, und die Ausbildung des elastischen Abschnitts sind derart gewählt, dass bei einer Bewegung der beweglichen Schlagwerkgruppe innerhalb des Aussengehäuses von bis zu 15 mm keine Zugkräfte auf den elastischen Abschnitt wirken. Die Abluft wird vorteilhaft durch den Lüfter aus dem Motor in einen optimal ausgebildeten Raum ohne Engpässe geblasen, bevor sie durch die Auslass-Luftöffnungen nach aussen gelangt. Durch die gezielte Luftführung im Ausblasbereich wird trotz der von dem Motor vorgewärmten Kühlluft noch ausreichend Wärme aus dem Schlagwerk und dem Getriebe abgeleitet.
