Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for sorting flat items according to the order of distribution
- the sorted by the distribution order of a deliverer shipments are in the order in which the deliverer visits the recipients in succession when distributing the shipments.
- the necessary sorting machine must hold the storage volume for the entire shipment scope and therefore requires a lot of space. It is technically complex and expensive.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method and apparatus for sorting flat items according to the distribution order, in which the necessary space requirements of the sorting machines is low and which require little manual effort in the subsequent distribution process.
- a first sorting machine After the destination addresses have been determined, the items are sorted into groups of matching delivery points in at least one sorting pass.
- the consignments are then supplied in groups to a second sorting machine for the last sorting pass, in which the consignments of a group corresponding to the respective sorting plan and corresponding to the known destination addresses for each consignment are sorted onto the delivery points of the respective group.
- the consignments of a delivery point in or, if the shipment is too large are routed to several adjacent automatically emptied terminals.
- the section conveyor transports the shipments to a delivery unit in which the shipments of each section are mechanically combined and collected in the distribution order.
- the consignments of a section of the section conveyor are packaged in a wrapping.
- machine-readable codes of the known destination addresses e.g. as barcode
- the mail items identifying the mail items are applied as machine-readable codes
- the numerical range of ID codes being Indicator comprises at least the number of items sorted into groups in the first sorting machine. This code is then read in the second sorting machine and, with the aid of a database in which the known destination addresses are assigned to the ID tags, the destination address is determined for each mailing.
- additional features distinguishing the items for identification are detected in the first sorting machine and stored in an address database assigned to the determined addresses. In the second sorting machine, these features are also detected. Based on the detected features, the address database is then searched. If sorting machine-capable mail items are also not to be included, then it is advantageous to automatically transport these items to the sections of the section conveyor assigned to the respective destination addresses before the delivery unit.
- Unaddressed items e.g. Advertising materials to be distributed to all households may also be transported to the sections of the section conveyor prior to the delivery unit.
- the mailings for a particular distribution area are sorted as groups of delivery points to a sorter as known.
- each shipment group contains shipments for a maximum of delivery points, as the second sorter has terminals.
- each downwardly pivoted transport module 1 passes a consignment located on it 2 in an associated terminal.
- Each terminal is designed as a downwardly pivotable conveyor module 3 with a circulating conveyor belt, which has two drivers for safe removal.
- the conveyor module 3 In the normal state, the conveyor module 3 is in a horizontal position, the conveyor belt is at rest and at its end in bainettivot end is a driver, which acts there as a stop.
- this mailing 2 is transported obliquely from the top left to the terminal station and is braked on the carrier.
- Each terminal is assigned to a delivery point. The assignment is made so that the programs are in distribution order in the adjoining terminals.
- EP 0 303 203 A2 sets out how consignments (eg magazines) are packed in a transparent foil. In Figure 2, the timing is shown briefly.
- the mailing group 1 for the first group of delivery points is sorted to the corresponding terminals. Those terminals, in which all assigned shipments have been sorted, are emptied immediately before the end of the sorting of this program group 1 on the stationary section conveyor. Immediately after completion of the sorting of the mailing group 1, the sorting of the mailing group 2 begins. This is done even before each terminal has been emptied, at least with the steps of separating, reading and routing in the sorting line. Once all consignments of consignment group 1 are on the section conveyor, it is set in motion and after an always constant transport time, all consignments are in the delivery unit, the section conveyor is stopped, and at the earliest at this time can with the emptying of the terminals for the consignment group 2 to be started. After this is done, the sorting of the shipment group 3 is started, and so on.
- mailing container 12 with broadcasts of the Verteil capablees the input part of the first sorter 10, consisting of a feeder bed 13 and a separating device 14, respectively. There they are unloaded and placed the shipments on the feeder bed 13 in an upright position. The consignment stack is then successively pushed to the separating device 14, where the respective foremost consignment is withdrawn. After aligning and reading the destination address, the individual items are sent via a mailing line 15 to the sorting section 16, in which the items are sent via turnouts which are controlled according to the read destination address 17 are sorted as terminals. Each stacking tray 17 is associated with a particular group of delivery points.
- the emptying of the stacking compartments 17 in transport container 12 which are then transported via a further transport roller conveyor 18 to the input part 19 of the second sorter 20.
- the mail items are sorted by sorting group 22 on the individual delivery points in the distribution order according to the mailing section 21, ie the stacking compartments 23 lying next to one another in series as end points are assigned to the delivery points in the distribution order.
- the emptied consignment containers 12 are fed back to the first sorter 10 via an upper transport path 25 in order to load the sorted consignment groups from its stacked compartments 17 therein. Since in the second sorter 20 each delivery point a stacking tray 23 is assigned, and therefore the shipment rate for each stacking tray 23 is relatively low, they have a limited capacity (about 40 - 50 mm in length).
- the emptying of the stacking compartments 23 with upright programs on the section conveyor 24 is automatic and is shown in more detail in FIG 4 a and b.
- the mailpieces 2 are fed laterally into the stacking tray 23 as a terminal to a baffle, not shown, using a stacking roller 30 and held there on the stacking tray 31 upright by a powered stacking support 32 in the upright position.
- maximum lift compartment depth
- the relatively fast movement of the stack support 32 and the thrust unit 34 is generated by corresponding drives 33,35, wherein the stack support 32 covers a greater distance and thereby eliminates the clamping of the stack.
- the drives 33, 35 may be known per se, e.g. be realized as a linear drive or as a rack drive.
- the thrust unit 34 is designed so that as evenly as possible on the surface of all broadcast formats a force can be initiated. Due to the rapid movement and the consequent shock-like force on the stack of this is pushed due to the inertia without substantial change in formation over the edge of the short shelf 31.
- the stack falls due to gravity on the outside of the stacking compartments 23 below the stack bottoms 31 located in the emptying direction from the vertical inclined, stationary section conveyor 24 for transporting the stacks of mail in the sections to the delivery unit.
- a narrow roller conveyor 36 inclined at an angle of approximately 90 °, is arranged on its lower side boundary, on which the items 2 are supported with their narrow sides.
