Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for packaging and applying a product, in particular a fluid product, in particular liquid or pasty, configured to apply a cosmetic product to the skin.
- Cosmetic product means a product as defined in Council Directive 93/35 / EEC of 14 June 1993, amending for the sixth time Directive 76/768 / EEC.
- the invention relates to a device for applying a makeup product on the eyelids, in particular for applying a line on the eyelids, namely an eyeliner.
- make-up pencils To draw a line on the eyelids, it is known to use make-up pencils. It is also known to use devices which comprise a reservoir containing a liquid product and an applicator equipped with a flexible application element for applying the product. Such devices are for example described in the FR-A-2,633,256 and FR-A-2,412,287 .
- the application element is formed of a flocked tip or felt so as to retain product, or a tip which has capillary grooves also for retaining product.
- the application element can also be in the form of a brush. In the closed position of the device, the applicators are immersed in the reservoir in order to load product.
- the user opens the device by removing the applicator whose tip is loaded product, then it draws a line in the same way as with a pencil, that is to say in applying the applicator element to one side of the eyelid and moving it to the other end.
- the eyelid is a very flexible surface, it tends to crease when moving the tip of the applicator with enough pressure to deposit the product. It is then very difficult to make a continuous line on a pleated surface.
- the wheel is arranged relatively close to the side walls so that they limit tilting and / or translation along the axis of rotation of the wheel, these movements being possible because of the clearance between the wheel and the axis. reported that is necessary for the rotation of the wheel.
- the wheel rubs against at least one wall so that it rolls with difficulty. It is then necessary to exert a relatively important pressure on the paper to roll the roulette and draw a line. This is why it is very difficult to use such a device to draw a fine and regular line on an eyelid that does not support such pressure.
- the pattern for example the line
- the pattern is made while the applicator portion is moved on the eyelid by exerting very little friction thereon, unlike a make-up pencil or a tip traditionally used to apply an eyeliner.
- an applicator member comprising a portion separating the coupling means from the applicator portion of non-constant section, an applicator member is obtained comprising a relatively thin applicator portion while being laterally stiffened. This further allows to move the applicator portion of the coupling means.
- the clearance necessary for the articulation located at the level of the coupling means causes a smaller deviation of the applicator member at the applicator portion when the coupling means are located at a distance from the plane in which moves. the applicator portion only when they are formed substantially in this plane, as is the case in the document US 1,225,067 .
- the wheel being of constant thickness and very thin so as to define at the periphery an applicator portion for drawing a thin line
- the coupling means are formed substantially in the same plane than the plane in which the applicator portion is moving.
- the clearance existing at the level of the coupling means causes a relatively large deviation of the applicator portion whereas, on the contrary, the applicator portion of the device of the invention tends to remain in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation. without deviating from this plan. It is thus possible to obtain a relatively straight line over its entire length.
- porous or fibrous organ makes it possible in particular to limit the risks of leakage of the product when a liquid product is used for example.
- the device may comprise coupling means on each side of the applicator portion.
- the section of the portion of the applicator member separating the applicator portion of the coupling means progressively decreases along the Y axis, from the applicator portion to the coupling means.
- it limits the surface of the applicator member capable of coming into contact, during rotation, with the container or with an intermediate element integral with the container carrying the applicator member, so as to limit friction. while stiffening the application member.
- the coupling means are constituted by the cooperation of a lug with a cavity respectively formed on the application member and on the container or on an integral element of the container, or vice versa.
- a reported axis of rotation so that the number of constituent elements of the device and therefore the games between the different parts. It is thus possible to obtain a more precise device making it possible to draw a more precise line.
- a purely linear contact is obtained which further limits the friction during the rotation of the applicator member.
- the applicator member may be removably mounted on the container.
- the user may change application member if desired and replace it with another application member comprising for example a different applicator portion that allows to draw a pattern of different shape.
- the applicator member is for example fixed on the container via a mounting ring which can be fixed to the container for example by snapping or screwing.
- the applicator portion may be formed by an annular surface of constant or variable width and which may be continuous.
- the applicator portion may alternatively be discontinuous.
- the applicator member may comprise at least two applicator portions making it possible to draw at least two patterns simultaneously, or else each may be used separately according to the user's choice.
- the two applicator portions may be identical or different.
- the device may also comprise at least two porous or fibrous members each able to contain a different product and to return it to each of the applicator portions so that each applicator portion is coated with a different product, for example of different color.
- the porous or fibrous member may consist of a material chosen from cellular materials, in particular foams or sintered materials, or textile fibers.
- the entire product is contained in the porous or fibrous application member.
- the product is partially contained within the container and that it is absorbed by the porous or fibrous member as the applicator portion withdraws product.
- the device may also comprise a bottle provided with an open neck housed in the container and containing the product, the porous or fibrous member being mounted inside the neck of the bottle or fixed above the neck of the bottle. .
- the device may comprise a closure cap designed to cap the applicator member.
- FIG. 1 to 4 We have shown on Figures 1 to 4 an example of a packaging device and application comprising a container 10 secured, via a hoop 20, an applicator member 30 which is capped, in the closed position, by a cap 40.
- the container contains a product P cosmetic, preferably liquid, and in particular a makeup product, such as for example a liquid ink, intended to be applied on an eyelid. It is also possible to use a relatively pasty product that could be contained directly in the container.
- the container 10 has a longitudinal axis X and a circular cross section which decreases progressively to a first end forming a bottom 11.
- the second end of the container is open and ends with a free edge 12 constituting a breakdown cord for fixing of the hoop 20 on the container.
- the hoop 20 comprises a base of circular cross section provided with a first annular groove 21 on its inner wall which allows its axial attachment to the container, the groove 21 being provided to receive the breakdown cord 12 of the container 10.
- the hoop 20 also comprises at its base a second annular groove 22 on its outer wall provided to receive an annular thread 41 formed on the cap to ensure the closure of the device.
- lugs 23a and 24a have the shape of a half-sphere and serve to keep the applicator member 30 on the hoop.
- the lugs 23a and 24a define an axis of rotation Y, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the container, allowing the rotation of the applicator member 30.
- the applicator member 30 is a solid member. It is formed by a disc which defines, peripherally, an annular application surface 31.
- the disk has a constant thickness over its entire periphery so as to define a continuous application surface and constant width over its entire periphery.
- Surfaces of different applications can be used, for example those represented in developed on the Figures 10A to 10D to draw a different pattern on the eyelid. It is possible to use an application member whose application surface is wave-shaped ( figure 10A ) or defines a continuous line surmounted by a succession of circular arcs ( figure 10B ).
- the application surface can also be discontinuous ( Figures 10C and 10D ) so as to form a dashed line.
- each face of the disk is formed by two conical portions 32 and 33 which each comprise at the top of the cone a cavity 32a and 33a.
- Each of the cavities 32a and 33a is intended to receive a lug 23a and 24a so as to form, on each side of the applicator portion, rotational coupling means allowing rotation of the applicator member around the axis of rotation.
- the cavities 32a and 33a have a cylindrical shape of revolution, their cross section, measured transversely to the axis of rotation Y, being circular.
- each lug 23a and 24a in the shape of a half-sphere is in contact with the applicator member only on a circular generatrix C so as to limit the friction between the applicator member and the hoop at the same time. application of the product. This therefore allows the applicator member to easily move in rotation without the user having to apply too much pressure on the eyelid to prevent the application member from slipping on the eyelid at instead of driving.
- the lugs 23a and 24a and / or the edges defining the cavities 32a and 33a may comprise recesses so that the contact zone between the lugs and the edges delimiting the cavities is discontinuous.
- the conical portions 32 and 33 separate the applicator portion of the rotational coupling means, but it is obvious that any other shape could be used to move the coupling means away from the plane in which the surface of application.
- the conical portion could be slightly curved ( figure 11A ) or on the contrary slightly hollowed out ( Figure 11B ), or in the form of stairs ( figure 11C ).
- a porous member 50 is housed partly inside the container 10 and partly inside the hoop 20. It is an open-cell foam block which contains the liquid product P. The product P being absorbed in the foam, it can not flow out of the container.
- the member 50 may be constituted by a felt or other fibrous material capable of absorbing the product.
- the foam block is slightly compressed laterally by the side wall of the container and the wall of the hoop so that it is held stationary inside the container.
- the foam block is positioned axially at a height such that the application surface of the applicator member during its rotation comes into contact with the foam block so as to take the product.
- the closure cap 40 is fixed removably to the hoop by means of a thread 41 provided on the inner surface of its wall, which cooperates with the annular groove 23 of the hoop, by capping the applicator member 30.
- the user removes the cap 40 and, holding the container that serves as a handle, has the surface application on his eyelid. It then suffices to move the device in translation along the eyelid so as to roll the application surface on the eyelid. The product is then transferred on the eyelid so as to form a line as seen in the figure 4 . As the line is drawn, the applicator portion is reloaded into product.
- the device illustrated in figure 5 differs from that just described in that the hoop is fixed on the container not by snapping but by screwing.
- the inner surface of the hoop has this time at its base a thread 26 which cooperates with a corresponding thread 13 formed on the outer surface of the container 10.
- the user can then easily remove the hoop 20 from the container in order, for example, to add product in the porous organ or change it, and easily fix it again.
- the user can also replace the hoop with another hoop comprising an applicator member provided for example with a different form of application surface, in particular one of those represented on the Figures 10A to 10D , in order to draw a different pattern on the eyelid.
- the device represented in figure 6 differs from the first embodiment illustrated in the Figures 1 to 4 in that the applicator member only this time comprises a conical portion 32, the other face of the disc being flat.
- the application member is then asymmetrical so that the entire device is asymmetrical.
- the section of the hoop 20 and the container 10 measured transversely to the axis X has the shape of a semicircle.
- the coupling means are formed only on one side of the applicator portion.
- the coupling means are formed by the cooperation of a cavity 32c in the form of a nail head with a lug 23c of substantially identical shape which allows the rotation of the applicator member while preventing its tilting.
- the band then has only one leg 23.
- a third embodiment of the device which differs from the first in that it further comprises a bottle 60 in which the product P is contained.
- the bottle is disposed inside the container 10 and its bottom abuts against an axial stop 13 formed in the wall of the container.
- the bottle 60 has an open neck 61 in which is housed a block of foam 50 impregnated with product P on which the application surface of the applicator member comes into contact during its rotation so as to take the product.
- Such an embodiment has the particular advantage of being able to easily recharge the device product since it can easily remove the bottle when empty and have another full.
- by conditioning the product in a bottle it limits the product contact with the air and therefore its evaporation.
- the size of the porous organ is relatively small so that substantially all of the product contained in this organ can be removed by the applicator portion so that the rate of emptying of the product is optimized.
- the device partially represented in figure 8 differs from that shown in figure 7 in that it comprises this time an applicator member provided with two application surfaces 31a and 31b formed on the periphery of two parallel disks separated by a central portion 34 which connects them.
- Each outer face of each disc has a conical portion 32 and 33.
- two porous members 50a and 50b are provided inside the bottle 60.
- a partition 62 separates the interior of the bottle into two parts so as to isolating two compartments each having one of the porous members 50a and 50b.
- a different product can thus be used in each compartment so that each application surface can be coated with a different ink, for example a different color ink. It is thus possible to draw two lines of different color, simultaneously or alternatively by slightly inclining the device during application to the eyelid.
- each disk defines a different application surface 31a and 31b, for example one of those described on the Figures 10A to 10D .
- FIG 9 there is shown a variant of the applicator member and the hoop that can be used in the embodiments that have just been described.
- the coupling means in rotation of the applicator member on the hoop are this time constituted by the cooperation of half-sphere shaped pins 32b and 33b formed on the applicator member 30 and which replace the cavities, with two openings 23b and 24b of circular section formed in the band 20 in place of the half-spheres.
- the friction between the applicator member and the hoop are relatively limited because each half-sphere 32b and 33b is in contact with the hoop 20 only on a circular generator C '.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for packaging and applying a product, in particular a fluid product, in particular liquid or pasty, configured to apply a cosmetic product to the skin.
In particular, the invention relates to a device for applying a makeup product on the eyelids, in particular for applying a line on the eyelids, namely an eyeliner.
However, with such application elements, it is very difficult to draw a regular line, including a constant thickness along the entire length of the line. Indeed, the user tends to press more or less strongly on the tip when drawing the line so that the tip crushes more or less on the eyelid so that the width of the tip applied to the eyelid, and therefore that of the drawn line, vary. In the case of a brush, it is also very difficult to obtain a fine line that is regular.
In addition, it is also very difficult to draw an identical line on both eyelids because the user does not quite the same gesture to draw a line on both eyelids. She is forced to change hands for each eyelid which leads her to use one of the hands with which she is less skilled, or to use the same hand for both eyelids and perform two different movements . Again, by performing a different gesture for each eyelid, the user will tend not to press the same way on the tip or the brush for both eyelids.
On the other hand, the eyelid is a very flexible surface, it tends to crease when moving the tip of the applicator with enough pressure to deposit the product. It is then very difficult to make a continuous line on a pleated surface.
The wheel is arranged relatively close to the side walls so that they limit tilting and / or translation along the axis of rotation of the wheel, these movements being possible because of the clearance between the wheel and the axis. reported that is necessary for the rotation of the wheel. When the user draws a line, the wheel rubs against at least one wall so that it rolls with difficulty. It is then necessary to exert a relatively important pressure on the paper to roll the roulette and draw a line. This is why it is very difficult to use such a device to draw a fine and regular line on an eyelid that does not support such pressure.
Also, is it an object of the invention to provide a device that does not have the disadvantages of the prior art.
It is particularly an object of the invention to provide a device for applying a make-up product that makes it possible to draw a relatively fine line that is regular over its entire length.
It is also another object of the invention to provide such a device that allows to draw a line quickly with great precision.
It is another object of the invention to provide a device which makes it possible to easily draw patterns of various shapes.
- un récipient apte à contenir du produit;
- un organe d'application comportant au moins une portion applicatrice apte à venir en contact avec le produit afin de se charger en produit ;
- un organe poreux ou fibreux, contenu au moins en partie à l'intérieur du récipient, apte à absorber du produit et à le restituer sur la (les) portion(s) applicatrice(s) ;
- des moyens de couplage en rotation disposés d'un côté au moins de la portion applicatrice et permettant à l'organe d'application de se déplacer en rotation, par rapport au récipient, autour d'un axe Y ;
- a container adapted to contain the product;
- an applicator member comprising at least one applicator portion adapted to come into contact with the product in order to load product;
- a porous or fibrous member, contained at least partly inside the container, capable of absorbing product and returning it to the applicator portion (s);
- rotational coupling means disposed on at least one side of the applicator portion and allowing the applicator member to rotate about the Y axis about the container;
The applicator member being mobile in rotation, the pattern, for example the line, is made while the applicator portion is moved on the eyelid by exerting very little friction thereon, unlike a make-up pencil or a tip traditionally used to apply an eyeliner.
In addition, the porous or fibrous organ makes it possible in particular to limit the risks of leakage of the product when a liquid product is used for example.
The device may comprise coupling means on each side of the applicator portion.
Advantageously, the section of the portion of the applicator member separating the applicator portion of the coupling means progressively decreases along the Y axis, from the applicator portion to the coupling means. Thus, it limits the surface of the applicator member capable of coming into contact, during rotation, with the container or with an intermediate element integral with the container carrying the applicator member, so as to limit friction. while stiffening the application member.
Advantageously, the coupling means are constituted by the cooperation of a lug with a cavity respectively formed on the application member and on the container or on an integral element of the container, or vice versa. Thus, one can overcome a reported axis of rotation, so that the number of constituent elements of the device and therefore the games between the different parts. It is thus possible to obtain a more precise device making it possible to draw a more precise line. In addition, one can choose the shape of the lugs and cavities so that the lug comes into contact with the edge delimiting the cavity in a circular generatrix, the generatrix can be continuous or discontinuous. Thus, a purely linear contact is obtained which further limits the friction during the rotation of the applicator member.
Advantageously, the applicator member may be removably mounted on the container. Thus, the user may change application member if desired and replace it with another application member comprising for example a different applicator portion that allows to draw a pattern of different shape.
The applicator member is for example fixed on the container via a mounting ring which can be fixed to the container for example by snapping or screwing.
The applicator portion may be formed by an annular surface of constant or variable width and which may be continuous. The applicator portion may alternatively be discontinuous.
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the applicator member may comprise at least two applicator portions making it possible to draw at least two patterns simultaneously, or else each may be used separately according to the user's choice. The two applicator portions may be identical or different.
When the applicator member comprises at least two applicator portions, the device may also comprise at least two porous or fibrous members each able to contain a different product and to return it to each of the applicator portions so that each applicator portion is coated with a different product, for example of different color.
The porous or fibrous member may consist of a material chosen from cellular materials, in particular foams or sintered materials, or textile fibers.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the entire product is contained in the porous or fibrous application member. Alternatively, it can be expected that the product is partially contained within the container and that it is absorbed by the porous or fibrous member as the applicator portion withdraws product.
Alternatively, the device may also comprise a bottle provided with an open neck housed in the container and containing the product, the porous or fibrous member being mounted inside the neck of the bottle or fixed above the neck of the bottle. .
The device may comprise a closure cap designed to cap the applicator member.
- un récipient apte à contenir du produit ;
- un organe d'application comportant au moins une portion applicatrice apte à venir en contact avec le produit afin de se charger en produit ;
- des moyens de couplage en rotation disposés d'un côté au moins de la portion applicatrice et permettant à l'organe d'application de se déplacer en rotation, par rapport au récipient, autour d'un axe Y ; les moyens de couplage étant constitués par la coopération d'au moins un ergot avec au moins une cavité formés respectivement sur l'organe l'application et sur le récipient ou sur un élément solidaire du récipient, ou inversement, l'ergot étant en contact avec un bord délimitant la cavité selon essentiellement une ligne continue ou discontinue ;
- a container adapted to contain the product;
- an applicator member comprising at least one applicator portion adapted to come into contact with the product in order to load product;
- rotational coupling means disposed on at least one side of the applicator portion and allowing the applicator member to rotate about the Y axis about the container; the coupling means being constituted by the cooperation of at least one lug with at least one cavity respectively formed on the applicator member and on the container or on an integral element of the container, or conversely, the lug being in contact with an edge delimiting the cavity in substantially a continuous or discontinuous line;
- provide a device as just defined,
- apply the application portion (s) of the applicator member to the skin,
- moving the device in translation so as to rotate the application member in rotation about the Y axis to draw a pattern on the skin.

The
The
At a distance from the
According to a variant not shown, the

It is obvious that such an applicator member can also be used with one of the other embodiments described above which comprises only one porous member. Both application surfaces 31a and 31b are then coated with the same product.

In the foregoing detailed description, reference has been made to preferred embodiments of the invention. It is obvious that variations can be made without departing from the invention as claimed hereinafter.
