Claims (28)
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung mit
einem Gehäuse (1), in dem wenigstens ein Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) mit einer Vielzahl von durch Trennwände (7) voneinander getrennten, sich in einer axialen Richtung des Katalysatorträgerkörpers (4) erstrekkenden, Kanälen (8) angeordnet ist, und mit wenigstens einem im wesentlichen radial auswärts gerichteten Flansch (5), der wenigstens den Katalysatorkörper (4) umgibt und der zwischen einen Zylinderkopf (16) und einen Krümmer (20) einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine anordenbar ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sich wenigstens ein Abschnitt (43) des Flansches (5) mindestens teilweise in die Außenwandung (45) des Gehäuses (1) hinein erstreckt. - Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Gehäuse (1) an oder in seiner Außenwandung (45) eine Aufnahme (46, 47) aufweist, in die wenigstens ein Abschnitt (43) des Flansches (5) hineinragt.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Aufnahme (46) durch eine Nut, insbesondere eine umlaufende Nut, gebildet.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Aufnahme (47) durch wenigstens eine radialauswärts gerichtet Prägung (48) in der Außenwandung (45) gebildet ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß beidseits des Flansches (5) jeweils wenigstens eine Prägung (48) ausgebildet ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 4 oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die wenigstens eine Prägung (48) wulstartig ausgebildet ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich wenigstens ein Abschnitt des Flansches (5) bis zum Katalysatorkörper (4) hin erstreckt.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Gehäuse (1) durch wenigstens zwei Gehäuseteile (2, 3) gebildet ist, wobei sich jedes Gehäuseteil (2, 3) über einen Teil der Längserstreckung des Katalysatorträgerkörpers (4) erstreckt.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Gehäuse (1) eine Erstreckung in Längsrichtung des Katalysatorträgerkörpers (4) aufweist, die kleiner, vorzugsweise wesentlich kleiner, ist als eine axiale Länge des Katalysatorträgerkörpers (4).
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Gehäuse (1) oder die Gehäuseteile (2, 3) ringförmig ausgebildet ist bzw. sind.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Gehäuse (1) oder wenigstens ein Gehäuseteil (2) wenigstens einen zur Anlage an den Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) bringbaren Anschlag aufweist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Flansch (5) wenigstens eine Dichtfläche (9) aufweist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Dichtfläche. (9) im wesentlichen umlaufend ausgebildet ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 12 oder 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß an dem Flansch (5) wenigstens ein Dichtungselement (11) angeordnet ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Flansch (5) eine Dichtung bildet.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Flansch (5) wenigstens einen plattenförmigen Abschnitt aufweist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Flansch (5) wenigstens mit dem Gehäuse (1) verlötet ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) ein metallischer Katalysatorträgerkörper ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach Anspruch 17, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Flansch (5) wenigstens mit dem Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) verlöter ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) ein keramischer Katalysatorträgerkörper ist.
- Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 21, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) wenigstens einen Bereich aufweist, der wenigstens einen Hauptkanal (14) aufweist, der gegenüber den weiteren Kanälen (8) einen größeren Querschnitt hat.
- Baueinheit mit wenigstens zwei Katalysatorträgeranordnungen nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 21, wobei die Katalysatorträgeranordnungen wenigstens einen gemeinsamen Flansch (5) aufweisen, der zwiscken einem Zylinderkopf (16) und einem krümmer (20) einer Verbrennungsbattmaschine anordbar ist.
- Baueinheit nach Anspruch 22, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein jeder Katalysatorträger (4) innerhalb einer gemeinsamen Dichtfläche angeordnet ist, wobei der Flansch (5) die Dichtfläche bildet.
- Abgassystem einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine mit einer Katalysatorträgeranordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 21 und/oder mit einer Baueinheit nach Anspruch 22 oder 23, wobei das Abgassystem wenigstens einen Abgasstromungsweg (42) aufweist, in dem der/die Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) wenigstens reilweise angeordnet ist/sind.
- Abgassystem nach Anspruch 24, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in einem jeden Strömungsweg jeweils ein Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) angeordnet ist.
- Abgassystem nach Anspruch 24 oder 25, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jeder Katalysatorträgerkörper (4) mit Gehäuse (1) einen Querschnitt aufweist, der im wesentlichen einem Querschnitt des Abgasströmungsweges (42) entspricht.
- Abgassystem nach Anspruch 24, 25 oder 26 mit wenigstens einem Krümmer (20), der wenigstens einen Stutzen (22) zum Anschluß an eine Verbrennungskraftmaschine aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das der Flansch (5) wenigstens teilweise an dem Stutzen (22) anliegt.
- Abgassystem nach Anspruch 27, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Flansch (5) gasdicht mit dem Stutzen (22) verbunden ist.
