Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connector with a connecting element, which is intended for connection to an electrical line, and further with a connector pin that a connecting section for a permanent connection with the connecting element and a plug-in section for a detachable plug connection with an assigned contact socket having.
- Such plugs are used to establish an electrical connection between the electrical line connected to the connection element on the one hand and the contact socket assigned to the plug on the other.
- the connector is usually inexpensive Stamped part formed.
- the connector pin is a separate component provided in particular with a higher material thickness, for example to the necessary for inserting the plug into the contact socket To ensure stability.
- the permanent link between Connector pin and connector is used in the manufacture of the connector usually generated by spot welding. Such Spot welding is comparatively complex and makes production more expensive in an undesirable way.
- the claw can be a caulking or act as a crimp or press connection, and it is particularly easy to accomplish.
- the claw section can be used for this for example, have one or more claws.
- connection element is clawed with such a connector pin is a permanent electrical Contact is not always guaranteed with the desired security (Risk of loose contacts), and the mechanical hold is fulfilled not always the requirements.
- the invention enables not only simple, but also secure and permanent clawing by using the intended Connection section of the connector pin has a different cross section than the mating section that is assigned for inclusion in the Contact socket is provided and that with respect to the connecting section usually provided at the other end of the connector pin is.
- a particularly secure hold of the claw between the connection element and connector pin is possible when the connecting portion of the connector pin has an open hollow shape in cross section.
- an open hollow shape can claws, which are formed on the connecting element, especially intervene easily and securely or be bent into it.
- the cross section of the connecting section of the connector pin can are also a closed hollow shape, which can be used when it is manufactured the claw is compressed to a smaller cross-section.
- the plug pin extends along it Longitudinal direction tapers so that the cross section of the connecting section becomes narrower in the direction of the plug-in section.
- This can the connector pin with its connecting section is particularly light caught the claw portion of the connecting element, in particular encompassed become.
- Such a narrowing can at least in one Direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the connector pin.
- a repeated narrowing of the cross section of the Connector pin along its longitudinal direction possible, for example in the form a jagged pattern.
- the invention is further based on the idea of the connecting section the connector pin with respect to the desired claw a higher Resilience to give than the claw portion of the connector.
- Such a configuration of the connector according to the invention is based on the knowledge that the durability of the connection between connector and connector pin of the respective Resilience depends. As resilience in this context the ability of the sections concerned denotes themselves to counteract the forces applied after the claw is created.
- connection element and connector pin It was therefore recognized that a secure claw between the connection element and connector pin is possible if the connecting section of the connector pin resets more than that after connection the claw section surrounding the plug pin of the connecting element. This For example, criterion is not met when trying to use a connector pin massive cross-section with comparatively easy to bend To surround and hold claws of the connecting element.
- the deformability of a certain shape or one certain material into an elastic and a plastic part divide.
- the claw between connector pin and connector is particularly safe when the connector pin is at its connecting section has a higher proportion of elastic deformability than that Claw section of the connection element, namely proportionally and / or absolutely considered.
- the explained higher resilience of the connector pin, or its comparatively higher elastic deformability, is preferably at least provided in such a direction of deformation that is transverse to the Longitudinal direction of the connector pin.
- the connector pin at its connecting section a lower resistance to deformation in relation to the desired one Has claw as the plug section.
- the connecting section can be squeezed comparatively easily, while the plug-in section at the same time as for the plug-in connection the contact socket can have the required stability.
- the criteria explained are preferably for the resilience or the deformability of the connecting element and the plug pin realized by appropriate shaping of the cross section of the connector pin.
- the connecting section for this purpose the connector pin with a suitable material that differ in particular from the material of the plug section of the plug pin differs.
- the connecting section of the A coating can be provided on the connector pin, which is comparatively low deformation resistance and / or a comparatively high elastic Has deformability.
- a can on the connector pin and on the connecting element Coating or solder coating can be provided, which with respect to the Connector pin or the connecting element a comparatively small Has hardness and due to which the contact pressure between the connector pin and the connection element for cold welding or cold soldering leads. This measure will result in low manufacturing Additional effort is required to ensure the stability of the connection between the connection element and connector pin increased even further.
- the coating can, for example consist of tin or a tin alloy.
- Fig. 1 shows a connecting element 11 and a plug pin 13, which together form an electrical connector according to the invention and the are accordingly provided for a claw together.
- the connecting element 11 is an already bent several times Stamped part. It has a receiving sleeve at its front end 15 for receiving the plug pin 13. On the receiving sleeve 15 is followed by a claw section 17 with two mutually offset Claws 19. The claw section 17 is in the longitudinal direction of the connecting element 11 on both sides of two stop indentations 21 limited. Finally, the connecting element 11 on his opposite end holding and guiding wings 23rd on, via which an electrical line, not shown, is added and can be crimped or crimped.
- the plug pin 13 has a comparatively long plug section 25. This has a solid square cross section and is for Introduced into an associated contact socket, not shown.
- the front end of the plug section 25 is as pyramid-shaped tip.
- a connecting section closes 27 on. This has a tub shape that is open at the top essentially rectangular outline, so that the plug pin 13 overall resembles the shape of a spoon.
- a permanent connection between the connecting element 11 and the Connector pin 13 can be very easily accomplished in the following way:
- the connector pin 13 is connected to the connecting section 27 in advance the receiving sleeve 15 of the connecting element 11 at the level of the claw section 17 introduced.
- the claws 19 already have approximately in the direction of the longitudinal center axis of the connecting element 11 are preformed, a sufficient distance from the bottom of the Connection element 11.
- the insertion of the plug pin 13 into the connection element 11 is limited by the stop indentations 21, so that the insertion depth is precisely defined.
- connection element 11 and the connector pin 13 realized by the claws 19 in the cavity of the connecting section 27 of the plug pin 13 caulked, pressed or be bent. It is possible to use the claw section 17 and the connecting section 27 subsequently to be pressed together or to squeeze. Because the upwardly open hollow shape of the connecting section 27 comparatively with regard to the cross section of the plug section 25 is thin-walled takes place when the Claw also a certain deformation of the connector pin 13 on his Connection section 27.
- the claws 19 now grip deeply into the hollow shape of the connecting portion 27, so that a secure permanent connection between connector 11 and pin 13 is ensured.
- the generation of the claw can also be done in a single operation take place, in particular by only detuning the claws 19 in the Cavity of the connecting portion 27 of the connector pin 13 takes place.
- Execution of the claw between the claw section 17 and the connecting section 27 can also be the one not shown electrical line with the holding and guiding wings 23 of the connecting element 11 crimped or crimped.
- the connecting element 11 and the plug pin 13 are preferably made made of a ductile material, for example a copper alloy.
- the connecting element 11 and the plug pin 13 can a coating of lower hardness than the copper alloy be provided so that at the same time as the generation of the claw cold welding is accomplished.
- Fig. 2 also shows a fixing sleeve 29. This essentially has one square cross-section and it is open and on at the back their front opened to a square opening. On their top the fixing sleeve 29 has a latching tab 31.
- the fixing sleeve 29 can be used for additional stabilization of the one shown in FIG. 2 Claws and to compensate for undesirable temperature effects via the plug section 25 of the plug pin 13 onto the claw section 17 of the connecting element 11 are placed.
- Fig. 3 shows the state of the connector thus achieved.
- the connector pin 13 protrudes through the square opening on the front of the fixing sleeve 29 through it.
- the latching tab 31 can be used to fix the electrical Line connected plug at the assigned contact socket serve.
