Definitions
- the invention relates to commercially available multi-chamber garbage containers, or garbage containers, for which a partition is to be provided, which are usually made of plastic injection molding and have an approximately square cross-sectional shape. These divided rubbish bins allow an inexpensive collection of different types of rubbish.
- Multi-chamber garbage containers are emptied in such a way that the different fractions are emptied into different filling shafts of a collecting vehicle at the same time, as far as possible.
- This principle is presented for the first time in DE 25 58 433 and has been successfully introduced internationally since then. If the container is now lifted with (at least) one partition by the lifting and tilting device and tipped down with its filling opening for emptying, its partition must be brought quickly and safely against the partition of the filling device on the vehicle, so that the waste fractions can be safely brought into the respective Of the vehicle.
- This is generally not a problem for those refuse containers whose dividing wall maintains the vertical when emptied, as long as the refuse containers are suspended by hand in the lifting and tipping device on the vehicle, the cover or the partial cover being opened beforehand by hand.
- the object of the invention is, in particular in the case of refuse containers with a "longitudinal division", i.e. where the partition in the waste bin is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the container lid, ways and means to find that opening is possible without manual intervention. It is important to ensure that the partial cover does not collide with the partition in the vehicle, as this would impede the opening.
- the partial lids themselves should be wide open when viewed against each other and, when the waste bin is closed, cover it tightly together or even overlapping, so that no rain penetrates the inside of the bin and it should be possible to empty all compartments of the waste bin at the same time.
- AT 356 003 shows a multi-chamber waste container with "longitudinal division” and individual lids over the chambers, an over-lid ensuring the weatherproofness of the container.
- DE G 90 13 881.3 and DE 40 01 717 C2 also do not address the question of rainproofness and the wide opening of the partial covers that are spread apart.
- the individual compartments of the container are emptied separately in chronological order, which is also a technical / financial disadvantage compared to a simultaneous emptying of the compartments.
- the problem of simultaneous, wide opening of partial lids is also not addressed.
- DE G 90 10 025.5 shows a partial cover with a rain gutter. However, it remains to be seen how the partial covers are opened in such a way that they do not collide with the vehicle or bulkhead partition.
- SE 501 538 only provides information on how to attach the partition.
- DE 42 00 034 A1 shows two coupled garbage containers, which probably keep a usable distance from one another in the lid area, but this arrangement is expensive and difficult to handle compared to a single container with a partition.
- DE 35 31 554 A1 with a cover that is displaceable in its dimensions does not address the problem and is also relatively expensive to manufacture.
- AU-A-40474/95 shows a slotted cover with a segment that can be swung out of the container partition, which ensures tight connection of the container / vehicle side partition.
- the question of weatherproofness is unsolved.
- the US 5,035,563 and US 5,205,698 represents individual variants of DE 25 58 433 and shows a lid attachment to the partition of the garbage container, but this is additionally stressed when the garbage is dumped into the vehicle, which is to be avoided. It is also known to thicken the dividing wall at its upper end and to provide it with a type of rain gutter which is used for a longitudinal outflow of the rain, for example for the container Voru./o. Back should worry. This presupposes a rarely given, level installation of the container and also reduces the filling or emptying opening of the container.
- FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the invention:
- the garbage container 1 has a comb bar 2 for receiving the garbage container in a known emptying device during emptying ("comb filling") and a circumferential upper container edge 3.
- the container 1 has a partition 4, which is from the front runs backwards in the container and divides the container into the chambers 5.1 and 5.2, which serve to accommodate different types of waste in a known manner.
- the container lid 7 can be opened and closed about an axis of rotation 6.
- the lid is attached to the container in an inventive manner, so that the partial lid 7.1 and 7.2 open under a spreading movement when opening. This happens both when opening by hand to fill the container chambers 5.1 and 5.2, and when the container is swung into the vehicle.
- FIG. 2 shows a rear view of the upper part of an inventive waste container and illustrates the position and attachment of the axes of rotation 6.1 and 6.2 on the waste container, the transport handle being inclined as the axis of rotation of the lid.
- Figure 3 shows a top view of a further embodiment of a lid storage on the container, which for a wide, spreading Opening of the partial cover ensures.
- an inclined or screw-like contact surface is used between the lid attachment and storage on the container.
- FIGS. 1 and 3 results in an optimal movement of the partial covers 7.1 and 7.2 when opening, because the partial covers in region A (FIG. 2) are also moved apart.
- the partial lids can thus be moved safely and easily past a partition located in the fill area of the vehicle and yet close together in their rest position.
- Fig. 5 shows a further inventive embodiment of how the partial cover can be moved apart when opened.
- a curve control in the area of the lid rotation axis (s) enables the partial lid to move apart transversely to the opening movement, the movement in the direction of the axis of rotation being caused by the interaction of a groove 15 at the rear end of the lid and a web 16 on the top, which is arranged obliquely to the vertical of the waste container the garbage container is effected.
- the groove can also be attached to the container and the web on the lid.
- one of the container lids 7.1. is provided with elastic or in particular form-fitting means so that it remains securely closed in the top position until the container is emptied and can be opened under positive control, for example by means of a trigger, when it has reached its end position. So is also during the pivoting process of the container into the vehicle opening a clean separation of the garbage and against its spilling on the street.
- Fig. 4 shows a very simple embodiment of such a closure.
- the preferably obliquely forward / downward elongated hole 11 on the lid bearing 10 allows a relative movement when closing the lid (arrow A) and via the pin 12 and stop 13 a closure of the lid during a tilting movement when emptying the container (arrow C). If, for example, the cover 7.1 hits an obstacle at the end of the pivoting-in process into the opening of the refuse collection vehicle, it undergoes a movement to the rear (arrow D), thus suspends the closure provided by the pin 12 and the stop 13 and swings open.
- the front edge of the cover can also be used, for example, which enters under a corresponding holder.
- such a closure can also be of interest for an undivided waste container with a single lid, in order to avoid contamination during waste collection.
- multi-chamber garbage containers are advantageously manufactured in such a way that the partition can be easily retrofitted at any time (see EP 0 428 185 B1), it makes sense to provide the invention also for those garbage containers which do not yet have a partition, so that the lid cannot be retrofitted becomes necessary when a garbage container with a partition is provided and is to serve as a multi-chamber waste container. This only marginally increases the cost of producing a garbage container.
- the invention can also be used for waste containers that have more than two compartments due to a longitudinal or transverse division.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to commercially available multi-chamber garbage containers, or garbage containers, for which a partition is to be provided, which are usually made of plastic injection molding and have an approximately square cross-sectional shape. These divided rubbish bins allow an inexpensive collection of different types of rubbish.
Multi-chamber garbage containers are emptied in such a way that the different fractions are emptied into different filling shafts of a collecting vehicle at the same time, as far as possible. This principle is presented for the first time in DE 25 58 433 and has been successfully introduced internationally since then. If the container is now lifted with (at least) one partition by the lifting and tilting device and tipped down with its filling opening for emptying, its partition must be brought quickly and safely against the partition of the filling device on the vehicle, so that the waste fractions can be safely brought into the respective Of the vehicle. This is generally not a problem for those refuse containers whose dividing wall maintains the vertical when emptied, as long as the refuse containers are suspended by hand in the lifting and tipping device on the vehicle, the cover or the partial cover being opened beforehand by hand.
If the garbage containers are loaded automatically from the driver's cab, problems arise because the lid (s) must also be opened automatically. The object of the invention is, in particular in the case of refuse containers with a "longitudinal division", i.e. where the partition in the waste bin is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the container lid, ways and means to find that opening is possible without manual intervention. It is important to ensure that the partial cover does not collide with the partition in the vehicle, as this would impede the opening. The partial lids themselves should be wide open when viewed against each other and, when the waste bin is closed, cover it tightly together or even overlapping, so that no rain penetrates the inside of the bin and it should be possible to empty all compartments of the waste bin at the same time. This process should be possible, if possible, without such aids, which are described in AU-A-17769/95, where the lid (s) are opened with a water jet, because this can lead to wetting of valuable materials in the waste container and also the carrying of a water tank required on the vehicle.
Ausleerungsöffnung des Behälters.AT 356 003 shows a multi-chamber waste container with "longitudinal division" and individual lids over the chambers, an over-lid ensuring the weatherproofness of the container. DE G 90 13 881.3 and DE 40 01 717 C2 also do not address the question of rainproofness and the wide opening of the partial covers that are spread apart. However, it remains to be seen how the partial covers are opened in such a way that they do not collide with the vehicle or bulkhead partition. SE 501 538 only provides information on how to attach the partition. DE 42 00 034 A1 shows two coupled garbage containers, which probably keep a usable distance from one another in the lid area, but this arrangement is expensive and difficult to handle compared to a single container with a partition. AU-A-40474/95 shows a slotted cover with a segment that can be swung out of the container partition, which ensures tight connection of the container / vehicle side partition. The problem is solved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. This makes it possible for the first time to evenly overlap the partial lid of a waste container in a completely weatherproof manner and yet in the empty position, that is to say when the container rotates so that the container opening points downwards, to open the partial lid far apart, so that the container lid does not come up against the Bump partition in the vehicle, the area of the container opening is practically not reduced. The different versions and combinations with each other enable a solution adapted to the respective conditions.
Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the invention: The garbage container 1 has a comb bar 2 for receiving the garbage container in a known emptying device during emptying ("comb filling") and a circumferential upper container edge 3. The container 1 has a partition 4, which is from the front runs backwards in the container and divides the container into the chambers 5.1 and 5.2, which serve to accommodate different types of waste in a known manner. The container lid 7 can be opened and closed about an axis of rotation 6. The lid is attached to the container in an inventive manner, so that the partial lid 7.1 and 7.2 open under a spreading movement when opening. This happens both when opening by hand to fill the container chambers 5.1 and 5.2, and when the container is swung into the vehicle. This movement apart of the container lids 7.1 and 7.2 is brought about by the cover axes 6.1 and 6.2, which run obliquely against the horizontal and against one another. The usual transport handle of the container can also be kept horizontal if only the straight line through the outer bearing of the lid forms an inclined axis.
Figur 2 zeigt eine Rückansicht des oberen Teiles eines erfinderischen Müllbehälters und verdeutlicht die Lage und Anbringung der Drehachsen 6.1 und 6.2 am Müllbehälter, wobei der Transportgriff als Drehachse des Deckels schräg gestellt ist.FIG. 2 shows a rear view of the upper part of an inventive waste container and illustrates the position and attachment of the axes of rotation 6.1 and 6.2 on the waste container, the transport handle being inclined as the axis of rotation of the lid.
Figure 3 shows a top view of a further embodiment of a lid storage on the container, which for a wide, spreading Opening of the partial cover ensures. Here, an inclined or screw-like contact surface is used between the lid attachment and storage on the container. When opened about its axis of rotation 6.2, the partial lid 7.2 is raised with the container handle 9 via the slopes 9.1 and 10.1 as shown by the arrows and moved apart from the container partition 4. This can also be carried out on the other side of the container, but then in mirror image.
Of course, a combination of the embodiments of FIGS. 1 and 3 results in an optimal movement of the partial covers 7.1 and 7.2 when opening, because the partial covers in region A (FIG. 2) are also moved apart. The partial lids can thus be moved safely and easily past a partition located in the fill area of the vehicle and yet close together in their rest position.
Fig. 5 shows a further inventive embodiment of how the partial cover can be moved apart when opened. A curve control in the area of the lid rotation axis (s) enables the partial lid to move apart transversely to the opening movement, the movement in the direction of the axis of rotation being caused by the interaction of a groove 15 at the rear end of the lid and a web 16 on the top, which is arranged obliquely to the vertical of the waste container the garbage container is effected. Of course, the groove can also be attached to the container and the web on the lid.
It is also possible that one of the container lids 7.1. is provided with elastic or in particular form-fitting means so that it remains securely closed in the top position until the container is emptied and can be opened under positive control, for example by means of a trigger, when it has reached its end position. So is also during the pivoting process of the container into the vehicle opening a clean separation of the garbage and against its spilling on the street.
Fig. 4 shows a very simple embodiment of such a closure. The preferably obliquely forward / downward elongated hole 11 on the lid bearing 10 allows a relative movement when closing the lid (arrow A) and via the pin 12 and stop 13 a closure of the lid during a tilting movement when emptying the container (arrow C). If, for example, the cover 7.1 hits an obstacle at the end of the pivoting-in process into the opening of the refuse collection vehicle, it undergoes a movement to the rear (arrow D), thus suspends the closure provided by the pin 12 and the stop 13 and swings open. Instead of the spigot shown, the front edge of the cover can also be used, for example, which enters under a corresponding holder.
Of course, such a closure can also be of interest for an undivided waste container with a single lid, in order to avoid contamination during waste collection.
Such a closure gives a partition additional hold until the cover is unlocked during the emptying process, if at least one cover is designed such that it rests on the partition 4. This relieves the clip fastenings usually used for the partition wall and holds the partition wall better.
Since multi-chamber garbage containers are advantageously manufactured in such a way that the partition can be easily retrofitted at any time (see EP 0 428 185 B1), it makes sense to provide the invention also for those garbage containers which do not yet have a partition, so that the lid cannot be retrofitted becomes necessary when a garbage container with a partition is provided and is to serve as a multi-chamber waste container. This only marginally increases the cost of producing a garbage container.
Of course, the invention can also be used for waste containers that have more than two compartments due to a longitudinal or transverse division.

Claims (8)
- Refuse container (1) with at least two partial lids (7.1, 7.2) which are mounted by means of axes of rotation (6.1, 6.2) on one and the same side of the opening of the container, characterised in that the axes of rotation (6.1, 6.2) form an angle to one another in order to carry out an expanding movement during the opening process of at least one partial lid and/or that at least one of the partial lids has a device for carrying out a transverse movement during the opening process which is directed toward the exterior of the container.
- Refuse container, in particular multi-chamber refuse container, according to claim 1, characterised in that the container (1) and at least one partial lid (7.1, 7.2 etc.) have securing means with which at least one of these partial lids (7.1, 7.2 etc.) is held in a closed position during the pivoting process of the refuse container (1).
- Refuse container, in particular multi-chamber refuse container, according to claim 2, characterised in that journals (11), grooves or the like are attached to at least one of the partial lids (7.1, 7.2) as securing means which hold the refuse container in a locked position during the pivoting process into the opening of the dustcart.
- Refuse container according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the partial lids (7.1, 7.2) overlap one another in the closed position and therefore prevent penetration of atmospheric influences such as rain and snow.
- Refuse container according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that means such as specifically placed handles (14) or webs are provided on its lid which serve to unlock the lid.
- Refuse container according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the lid or a portion of the lid is designed in the closed state such that the separating wall (4) of the refuse container (1) is supported in its position with interlocking fit in the tilting process during emptying.
- Refuse container according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that a tilt control device is provided for the movement of the lid in a direction from the centre of the container to the opposing exterior of the container during opening.
- Refuse container according to claim 7, characterised in that the tilt control for the specific movement of the container lid from the centre of the container to the opposing exterior of the container is attached in the region of the cover securing device or between the container lid and container.
