Description
The present invention relates to a vacuum massage device.
It concerns the industrial and commercial field of the manufacture and distribution of apparatus and accessories generally intended for the equipment of medical or paramedical practices and hospital services practicing massages.
Originally, massage, whose name comes from the Arabic word "mass" which means to palpate, consisted of pressing, kneading different parts of the body with the hands to give flexibility to the muscles.
Today, massage is more and more frequently performed using devices and is practiced in a large number of fields such as plastic or restorative aesthetics, trauma, rheumatology, phlebology, physiotherapy sports, treatment of scars and burns, circulatory disorders, lymphatic drainage or tissue firming.
There are different types of massages depending on the treatments to be performed. The form concerned by the device according to the invention is known by the name of "rolled palpated massage". It is used in particular in the case of the treatment of the cutaneous, cellulitic and dermalgic zones for example, and is carried out by practicing on the patient a continuous action during which the masseur exerts simultaneously, not only a localized pinching so as to create a skin fold, but also a gradual displacement of the pinched area.
En outre, il n'est pas réellement formé de pli cutané."Rolled palpated massage" is currently most often performed using devices comprising a movable head intended to be moved over the skin and connected by a flexible conduit to an air suction system capable of creating a depression in the epidermis when the head is applied against the patient's body. 2 There are heads with parallel cylindrical rollers movable in rotation and possibly in translation, heads with balls on the periphery and enfiη ,, heads without moving elements forming "bells". The first type makes it possible to obtain a well-marked skin fold, but comprises moving parts which make cleaning difficult and oblige to cover the patient with a protective film (leotard, sticky), in order to avoid pulling out hairs or down. The ball head has the same drawbacks and, moreover, is not waterproof (space between the balls). In addition, there is not actually a skin fold.
The bells, on the other hand, do not produce a skin fold; on the other hand, there is no need for protection, they slide on the skin.
The device according to the present invention aims to correct these defects and has many advantages over existing systems, in particular:
- Simplicité et robustesse.- Simplicity and robustness.
- Pli cutané réel.- No moving parts, so no risk of hair pulling and no need for tights on the patient. - Real skin fold.
In addition, the head causes a detachment of the skin which not only increases hyperemia leading to better oxygenation promoting the elimination of waste, but also softens the connective tissue before formation of the skin fold, which is therefore more important and therefore more defibrotic and draining. 3 The device according to the invention consists of a movable head comprising a contact base intended to be applied to the skin surmounted by a vacuum chamber connected by a flexible conduit to a suction system, the base having a concave underside forming a lifting chamber and comprising an elongated suction nozzle passing through it vertically, communicating the depression chamber and the surface of the skin so as to create a skin fold which moves with the head.
In the appended schematic drawings, given by way of nonlimiting examples of embodiments of the subject of the invention: FIG. 1 is a vertical axial section of the massage head, FIG. 2 is a horizontal section along the lines arrows FI of Figure 1 and Figures 3 to 6 are axial sections of various alternative embodiments of the contact base.
The device, FIGS. 1 to 6, consists of a massage head formed by a housing 1 which can be actuated manually to be moved against the surface to be treated, and consists of two superimposed elements, a vacuum chamber 2 at the top, and a base 3 pierced with a suction nozzle 4 and intended to be applied to the skin.
The vacuum chamber 2 is in the form of a "bell" constituting an enclosure open downwards and comprising a connector 5 making it possible to couple it via a flexible tube 6 to a suction system intended to create a vacuum inside the vacuum chamber. The upper wall of the latter advantageously comprises an orifice 7 communicating with the outside and arranged so as to be able to be easily closed by the finger of the 4 practitioner to allow him to control the depression in the head during use.
L'embase sera de préférence montée de façon amovible sur la chambre de dépression 2 par tout moyen approprié assurantThe contact base 3 has a concave underside constituting a lifting chamber 8 for the skin surrounded by a peripheral bead 9 determined to slide easily over the skin while maintaining good sealing. The base will preferably be removably mounted on the vacuum chamber 2 by any suitable means ensuring
1 'étanchéité entre les deux éléments. Cette disposition facilite le nettoyage de l'ensemble et permet de prévoir plusieurs embases 3 interchangeables se montant sur la même chambre de dépression 2.1 sealing between the two elements. This arrangement facilitates cleaning of the assembly and makes it possible to provide several interchangeable bases 3 mounted on the same vacuum chamber 2.
The suction nozzle 4, which passes vertically through the base 3 by communicating the vacuum chamber 2 and the lifting chamber 8, has an elongated shape which is wider at the center than at the ends and is arranged transversely to the direction of displacement of the head 1. The lower edges of the nozzle are rounded so as to form in the front, in the direction of displacement, a winding lip 10 and at the rear a unwinding lip 11. The skin fold s 'engulfs between these lips, especially since the spacing of these two lips is greater in the center of the nozzle, where the fold is the thickest.
The upper internal face of the lifting chamber 8 can be concave (Figure 1), flat (Figure 3) or convex (Figure 4), or have an asymmetrical shape, for example so that the unwinding lip 11 descends at the same level as the peripheral bead 9 (FIG. 5), or so as to have a so-called "plane" shape with a substantially horizontal passage of the suction nozzle 4, the unwinding lip 11 being located below the lip winding 10 (figure The horizontal section of the housing 1 and of the base 3 will preferably have a circular shape in order to facilitate movement, but may be oval, square or rectangular.
The contact base 3 is made of a material with a low coefficient of friction sliding well on the skin, and the two constituent elements of the head are advantageously made of transparent material so as to allow visual control of the work.
The positioning of the various constituent elements gives the object of the invention a maximum of useful effects which had not, to date, been obtained by similar devices.
