Definitions
- the invention relates to an internal combustion engine with a Crankcase ventilation device.
- Post-published EP 0 780 593 A1 discloses a ventilation device for a crankcase of an internal combustion engine known, wherein the crankcase a crankshaft, a for Crankshaft parallel, counterparallel rotating balancer shaft and an additional, parallel to the crankshaft, parallel Having auxiliary shaft with a counterweight.
- the auxiliary shaft For ventilation of the Cylinder head space is the auxiliary shaft with an axial blind hole provided with a connected to the air filter Ventilation duct and with a running through the counterweight Cross hole is connected.
- crankcase ventilation device in such form, that at low construction cost of ⁇ labscheidegrad the device is improved.
- a significant advantage of the ventilation devices according to the invention lies in the increase of the oil separation rate.
- the spatial Separation of the openings for supplying the blow-by oil mixture in the mass balance weights, the radial bores to subsequent discharge of the mass balance weights separated oil droplets and the gas guidance space for removal the blow-by gas into the intake system of the internal combustion engine prevents entrainment of already separated oil droplets into the intake system. Due to due to the rotating Balance shaft on the blow-by-oil mixture acting centrifugal forces Air and oil are in the mass balance weights inevitably separated, with air and oil after the Separation be passed through different holes. There is no additional parts expense required because the Venting device in the balance shaft and the mass balance weights is integrable.
- the processing effort is low, since only holes in the balance shaft and the Mass balance weights are to be introduced. An additional one Separating room can be omitted.
- the centrifugal force acting on the oil is much larger than that on the oil as well acting gravity, so that the oil-removing radial bores anywhere on the circumference of the mass balance weights can be arranged and any skew of the Internal combustion engine or the vehicle without influence on the oil separation remains.
- FIG. 1 shows a Ventilation device 1 according to the invention of a crankcase a non-illustrated internal combustion engine.
- the internal combustion engine has a rotating balance shaft 2 with mass balance weights 3 and 4, which in one with the Crankcase connected space 5 in the cylinder head 6 above not shown here gas exchange valves of the internal combustion engine is stored.
- the space 5 is by means of a cover 7th closed at the top.
- the balance shaft 2 has a in the direction of its axis of rotation 8 extending gas guide space 9, which is closed at one end 9a and at a gas discharging End 9b over a tightly closed to the outside Chamber 10 with the intake system 11 only partially shown the internal combustion engine is connected, whereby a negative pressure in the venting device 1 prevails.
- mass balance weights 3, 4 are frontally each arranged two opposing openings 12, which in axially and parallel to the axis of rotation 8 of the balance shaft 2 extending supply holes 13 open.
- the feed holes 13 are also incorporated in the mass balance weights 3, 4 Radial holes 14 connected, which in the room 5 outside the balance shaft 2 and obliquely in the gas routing space 9 of the balancer shaft 2 open.
- the balance shaft 2 included the mass balance weights attached 3, 4 um the rotation axis 8 rotates at a high rotational speed, it is impossible for the oil droplets in contrast to the gases via the oil-removing radial bores 14 in the gas routing space 9 to arrive within the balancer shaft 2.
- the space 5 outside the balancer shaft 2 facing end portions 15 of the radial bores 14 and the associated increase the discharge resistance can be additionally achieved that only the separated oil and not the air in the room 5 outside the balance shaft 2 exits.
- Fig. 2 shows a schematic exploded view of another Embodiment of a ventilation device according to the invention 16.
- the balancer shaft 2 of the internal combustion engine has a front end 2a introduced at one end Opening 17 for entry of the blow-by mixture from the crankcase on, which opens into a gas guide chamber 9, which within the mass balance weights 3, 4 separation chambers 9a, 9b having.
- the mass balance weights 3, 4 only oil-removing radial bores 14, on the one hand with the gas guide chamber 9 of the Balancing shaft 2 and on the other hand with the space 5 outside the Balancing shaft 2 are in communication.
- the gas routing space 9 the balance shaft 2 is above the flow-calming chamber 10 connected to the intake system 11 of the internal combustion engine.
- the blow-by mixture passes from the crankcase of the internal combustion engine on the end 2a of the balancer shaft 2 frontally arranged opening 17 in the gas guide chamber 9 and thus into the separation chambers 9a, 9b extending around the rotation axis 8 rotating balance shaft 2.
- the by the rotation of the balancer shaft 2 and the mass balance weights 3, 4 on the Mixture-acting centrifugal forces cause ejection of the oil via the radial bores 14 of the mass balance weights 3, 4 in the space 5 outside the balance shaft 2, from where the oil drips into the oil pan of the engine.
- the Blow-by gases are passed over the gas-discharging end 9c the gas guide chamber 9 subsequent chamber 10 to the intake system 11 of the internal combustion engine supplied.
- the number of mass balancing weights used for the venting device can vary, which also causes the use only a mass balance weight would be conceivable.
- the between Intake system and venting device arranged chamber allows an optimal seal by the chamber, for example an integrally formed on the chamber wall nozzle for connection to the intake system and the balance shaft at her Gasabmixden end by means of a shaft seal in the chamber is stored. Furthermore, a vote of the oil separation according to the two embodiments by the variation of Position, the diameter and the angle of the radial and axial bores be made. In addition, the wetting surface increased in the radial bores by introducing steel wool become.
