Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a headlight for vehicles with a cup-shaped Housing, which has a circumferential receiving bed at its front edge has, with a translucent lens, which with its outer circumferential foot is inserted into the receiving bed, with an aperture, which in the Headlight interior is arranged and which with at least one molded Carrier element is inserted into the receiving bed, and with one in the Adhesive bed introduced sealing compound.
Such a headlight for vehicles is known from EP 0 054 444 B1. In the Pot-shaped housing is an adjustable reflector inserted between the front edge and the front edge of the pot-shaped housing a frame-like screen shields the view into the interior of the pot-shaped housing. Tab-like support elements are molded onto the cover, which are in contact with their free end sections to the front edge of the pot-shaped housing extend and complete the admission bed in their area by placing them in a Recess of an inner side wall of the receiving bed and a recess in the Reach in the floor of the bed. There is a sealant in the bed introduced, which consists of an adhesive or from a permanently viscous Material exists. The sealant is in a liquid state in the Inserted bed and can if there is a gap between the support member and the side wall of the receiving bed is inside the headlight penetration. With automatic production of the headlight, so much can Sealant flows out of the receiving bed into the headlight interior, that a secure seal between the housing and the lens is no longer that's for sure. Furthermore, the sealing compound can be up to the reflection surface of the Reflector, on the outside of the panel and / or the inside of the Flow cover disc. The support elements of the panel can be the recesses Only close the housing mounting bed tightly if the Tolerances for the cover and housing are very narrow. With very tight However, tolerances are costly to manufacture the cover and the housing and threading the support elements of the panel into the recesses of the Recording bed of the housing is cumbersome and time consuming. Has the aperture on the outside of a decorative surface, so this can be during assembly and the introduction of the sealant into the receiving bed. The Cover disc is with its circumferential foot in the liquid sealant immersed and by the sealant and / or additional fasteners held on the housing. Between the lens and the cover the The distance should be so large that the lens in the receiving bed to the Fixing points of the headlamp is adjustable. The greater the distance between the aperture and the lens, the smaller the effective Light exit surface of the headlamp.
The object of the invention is that described in the preamble of claim 1 To design headlights for vehicles in such a way that the aperture precisely to End plate positionable and still in the bed by the Sealant can be securely held. This object is achieved according to the invention solved in that the support element of the panel on the foot of the The lens is in contact with the base of the lens in the Sealant is immersed and held in the sealant. This can the aperture a very close distance to the inside of a circumferential Have side wall of the translucent lens or even in sections on this. In addition, the lens can be put together can be adjusted with the cover to the fixing points of the headlight. Farther is a when introducing the liquid sealant into the receiving bed Soiling of the front of the cover is not possible. Can be used as a carrier element a directed in the direction of insertion of the base of the lens Serve connection tab. The connection tab should be with its free edge fit the inside of the base of the lens, so that when immersing no sealant from the base of the cover plate into the sealant penetrates between the support member and the foot.
The cover is also after immersing the base of the lens in the Sealing compound fixed exactly to the lens when the cover at Immersion of the foot in the sealing compound by means of a mounting device End plate is held fixed or the support element by a Fastening device is held on the foot of the lens. Here is it expedient if the fastening device from one another automatically engaging locking elements of the carrier element and the foot of the lens is formed, a locking element a locking trough and the other locking element Locking approach is and the locking direction transverse to the direction of insertion and Longitudinal extension of the receiving bed adjacent to the carrier element extends. If the recess is inserted into the inside of the foot, they are Locking elements hidden between the support element and the foot of the Cover disc arranged. The cover can be very close to the lens be spaced when the latching lug between in the longitudinal extent of the outer Edge of the foot running lateral guide surfaces of the locking recess is movable and together with the locking trough a floating bearing for the aperture. In addition, you have rough tolerances between the locking elements automatic locking safely. With two fastening devices on one Longitudinal section of the aperture, it is also advantageous if a Fastening device as a floating bearing and the other Fastening device serves as a fixed point. This allows the lens and the aperture is narrow even with a rough tolerance of the locking elements be spaced.
In the case of a frame-like diaphragm, it is also advantageous if the Carrier elements on a longitudinal section of the panel largely rigid on the Close lens and on an opposite longitudinal section of the Aperture are resilient. The largely rigid sections of the Carrier elements should be formed on the long side of the panel, with which the aperture should have a very precise position to the lens. The aperture can also be rigid with the cover plate by fastening devices be connected, which consist of a screw connection. In the area of such Rigid fasteners do not need the panel with a support element in submerge the bed.
In a particularly advantageous development of the invention, the Fastening device on the inside of the base of the lens at least one holding projection directed in the direction of insertion of the foot, between the and the inside of the foot and / -or between the and one another retaining projection engages the support element tightly. This stuck Intervention can be made by a self-locking or clamping connection his. Through the one or more retaining projections, the carrier element is free End section held securely on the base of the lens and it can Immerse the base of the lens in the sealant between the free end portion of the support member and the base of the lens none Penetrate sealant. The carrier element is particularly secure on the foot the end plate fixed when the end portion of the support member through Retaining projections are held against the inside of the base of the lens and between the support member and the inside of the foot by a Locking trough and a locking lug formed locking elements are arranged. in this connection the retaining projections hold the locking projection securely in the locking recess.
The carrier element is simple and easy to assemble when the carrier element is inserted between two holding projections, and the attachment of the free End section of the support element on the inside of the foot is given safely if at least one retaining projection by clearing the support element passes.

In Figure 2 is a carrier element (6) in the relaxed state and in the state shown, in which the carrier element (6) is sprung inwards by the angle (a) and bears against the inside of the foot (4) under pretension (dashed line). The carrier elements (6) are attached to the foot (4) by a fastening device (8). the lens (3) held. Serve as a fastening device (8) Locking elements (9,10). The locking element (9) is one in the inside of the foot (4) introduced recess and the other locking element (10) to the free End portion of the support elements (6) attached locking projection, which up to Free end of the tab-like carrier element (6) extends. On the two Longitudinal sections (14, 15) of the panel (5) exist between a carrier element (6) and the foot (4) of the lens (3) a fixed point (13) and between the another support element (6) and the foot (4) of the cover plate (3) floating bearing (12). At the fixed point (13) points in the foot (4) of the End plate (3) introduced recess (first locking element 9) circular opening into which a correspondingly large latching attachment (second Locking element 10) engages. The floating bearing (12) points in the foot (4) of the cover plate (3) introduced recessed recess (first locking element 9) two opposite lateral guide surfaces (11), which in the direction of Longitudinal extension of the edge of the foot (4) of the cover plate (3).
In the support element (6) shown in Figures 5 and 6 are the locking elements (9,10) securely held in their engagement by two retaining projections (17). The two Retaining projections (17) are at a distance from the inside of the foot (4) Molded on the inside of the cover plate (3) and point in the direction of insertion (16). Between the two holding projections (17) against the direction of insertion (16) tab-like carrier element (6) used. Grip the two retaining projections (16) into laterally opened frankings (18) of the carrier element (6). Through the Retaining projections (17) is the free end section (23) of the tab-like Carrier element (6) on the inside of the foot (4) of the cover plate (3) held, and thus the locking projection (second locking element 10) of the carrier element (6) in the locking trough (first locking element 9) of the foot (4) of the lens (3). The carrier element (6) is easily between the two holding projections (17) and with its free end section (23) between the inside of the foot (4) and the two retaining projections (17) threadable, since the retaining projections (17) to their free end taper.
In another embodiment of the invention, the carrier element (6) jamming between the inside of the foot (4) of the lens (3) and at least one holding projection (17) can be used, between the End section (23) and the inside of the foot (4) no fastening device (8) must exist.
