Abstract

A rail support consists of a sleeve (3) which fits over the post and has two rectangular trough-shaped holders (4) fixed to it to receive the rails. The depth of each holder is greater than the height of the rail, and the open top of the holder is closed, e.g. by a plastic cover, once the rail has been fitted.
