Definitions
- the invention relates to a circular knitting machine in the preamble of claim 1 specified genus.
- Circular knitting machines with a replaceable needle cylinder have been around for a long time known (DE-PS 177 577). If the circular knitting machine only has a needle cylinder has, its installation and removal is relatively easy. The installation and removal serve both repair and maintenance purposes as well as the same circular knitting machine with needle cylinders of different pitch and / or different Operate diameters. Because the space above the needle cylinder is largely free need, the needle cylinder and possibly the associated support rings only from above be lifted out of or inserted into the machine frame.
- the facility contains resources by means of which the component can be removed so far from the needle cylinder that it is possible to install or remove the needle cylinder from the side.
- the Means for lifting the component form e.g. a part of a usually anyway existing device for adjusting the mesh size by axial Relative displacement of the component, especially if it is a dial.
- the invention has for its object, the circular knitting machine the genus described at the outset so that the removal and installation of the needle cylinder is simplified regardless of whether it takes place with or without a dial or the like.
- the invention has the advantage that not the component but the needle cylinder itself is moved axially and can be brought into a position that the Installation and removal without significant manual lifting or lowering in the axial direction enables.
- a circular knitting machine contains a machine frame 1, the one on Frame feet 2 supported, circular base plate 3 which has a plurality of in substantially vertical, circumferentially spaced support columns 4 carries on their upper ends are covered by a cover 5.
- a cover 5 With the bottom of the Base plate 3 is an annular flange body 6, which together with the Base plate 3 forms the bearing surfaces for bearings 7, by means of which one with an external toothing provided cylinder support ring 8 is rotatably mounted in the base plate 3.
- a needle cylinder 9 is supported, which in a known manner does not shown knitting tools, in particular knitting needles, plush sinkers or the like. occupied is and rotate about its axis 10, which is usually a central machine axis can.
- the needle cylinder 9 is surrounded by a stationary cylinder lock 11, which with Lock parts not shown, acting on the feet of the knitting tools provided and with its underside on a lock plate attached to the base plate 3 12 is mounted.
- the support columns 4 are by an upper Frame ring 13 connected, which carries a coaxial to the axis 10 sleeve 14, in the Support tube 15 e.g. is rotatably supported by arms 16, but axially displaceable.
- the support tube 15 is a coaxial carrier shaft 18 by means of upper and lower bearings 17 rotatable, but axially immovable, which at its upper end with a coaxial drive gear 19 is firmly connected or made in one piece.
- the Drive gear 19 meshes with a drive pinion 20 in such a way that it limited parallel to axis 10 can perform movements relative to it without the mutual interference is lost.
- the drive pinion 20 is one at the upper end Drive shaft 21 attached by means of upper and lower, not shown Bear in one of the support columns 4 rotatably and with its axis parallel to the axis 10 is arranged. There is another on a lower part of the drive shaft 21 Drive pinion 22 attached, which meshes with the cylinder support ring 8 and this with drives the same speed as the drive gear 19 through the drive pinion 20th is driven.
- a dial 24 is attached, which is arranged coaxially to the axis 10 in a known manner and is equipped with knitting tools, not shown, in particular knitting needles, which in contrast to those of the needle cylinder 9 not parallel, but radial to the axis 10 are slidably mounted.
- a stationary dial lock 25 is arranged, which does not further provided lock parts and attached to the lower end of the support tube 15 is.
- the carrier shaft 18 is rotatably arranged in the support tube 15 that the dial 24 rotated together with the needle cylinder 9 relative to the locks 11 and 25 can be, if not shown, the drive shaft 21 in revolutions displacing drive is switched on.
- the upper end of the support tube 15 is provided with an external thread section onto which an internal thread section of an adjusting ring 26 is screwed, which is rotatably mounted on the upper side of the frame ring 13 by means of a bearing 27 and has an external toothing which meshes with a toothed wheel 28 which is on an adjusting member 29, for example a pivot pin, which is rotatably mounted in the upper frame ring 13 and is only indicated schematically, and has an axis of rotation running parallel to the axis 10.
- the support tube 15 and with it the support shaft 18 rotatably mounted on the bearing 17, limited to the axis 10 and parallel movements relative to the needle cylinder 9 can be carried out, such as for adjusting the stitch size or the so-called ridge distance d (FIG. 3), ie the distance between the upper end face or the upper stitch wiping edge of the needle cylinder 9 and the bottoms of the grooves receiving the knitting tools and formed in the dial 24 is desired.
- d ridge distance
- the component 24 shown in the exemplary embodiment as a ribbed disk can alternatively be a Circuit board ring or the like. Or a carrier of thread changing devices or of control means for this, this component 24 being rotatable, but also stationary in the machine frame 1 can be mounted and covers the needle cylinder 9 in an upward manner, that this without extensive disassembly of the component 24 and numerous other parts of the Circular knitting machine could not be removed and installed.
- Circular knitting machines of this type are generally known to the person skilled in the art, e.g. from the publications DE-OS 1 944 454, DE 41 28 372 A1, DE 195 11 949 A1, EP 0 413 608 A1 and EP 0 436 313 A1, which hereby - if necessary - to avoid of repetitions made the subject of the present disclosure will.
- the disturbing component 24 9 has a device for adjusting the relative position between the Needle cylinder 9 and the dial 24 in the direction of the axis 10 according to the invention through which the needle cylinder 9 at least in a conventional, e.g. 3 apparent from Operating position and an installation position that enables installation and removal (Fig. 11 and 14) is adjustable, in which the needle cylinder 9 is substantially vertical movements to axis 10 can be installed or removed. This will explained in more detail below using two exemplary embodiments.
- the needle cylinder 9 is in its usual operating position (Fig. 3) by means of a removable spacer 35 on the preferably supported flat top of the support ring 8.
- the spacer 35 is distributed from a plurality of along the circumference of the support ring 8 arranged spacers 35a, 35b or expediently designed as ring segments 35c (Fig. 4.5), which are preferably spaced apart by gaps 36. Basically two such spacers would be sufficient.
- the spacer pieces 35a to 35c are like 4 and 5 in the area of section lines VI-VI and Fig.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show in the area of section lines VII-VII and FIG.
- each spacer 35a to 35c has at least one vertical, continuous one Has bore 40 which is aligned with a corresponding bore 41 in the support ring 8 and how this can accommodate a mounting screw 42 with play, which in a associated threaded bore of the needle cylinder 9 is screwed in, the heads the fastening screws 42 in turn on the underside of the support ring 8.
- the support ring 8 corresponds to the section lines VIII-VIII in FIGS. 4 and 5 8 also have threaded holes 43 into which lifting screws 44 are seen from below are screwed in. The threaded holes 43 and lifting screws 44 are, as shown in FIGS.
- the spacers 35a, b, c have on them Inside a shoulder 45 projecting beyond the lower edge of the needle cylinder 9, which with a number of radial threaded bores distributed along the circumference with centering means inserted in these in the form of centering screws 46 (FIGS. 4, 5, 7) is provided.
- the approaches 45 can over the entire length of the respective spacer extends or divided in the circumferential direction of the associated spacer or be shortened.
- the fastening screws 42 (FIG. 7) are loosened from below by means of which the needle cylinder 9 clamped on the spacer 35 on the support ring 8 and in a normal operating position is maintained, and the centering screws 46 are radial withdrawn inwards from the needle cylinder 9.
- a circular knitting machine normally has sufficient free space to provide such.
- the lifting screws 44 turn in the opposite direction actuated, whereby the needle cylinder 9 is lowered again and into such a deep below the dial 24 or another component located assembly position that he manually lifted from the lifting screws 44 and after removing the necessary ones Parts of the cylinder lock 11 radially between two with the appropriate distance arranged support columns 4 radially removed from the machine frame 1 can be.
- the steps described in the opposite order When installing a needle cylinder 9, the steps described in the opposite order. It is possible to use the lifting screws 44 completely retract into the support ring 8 and the needle cylinder 9 to first settle on the support ring 8, which also applies to the expansion.
- the In this case, the mounting position is through the upper upper side of the support ring 8 or Upper edges of the centering projection 39 (Fig. 6,8) and / or the upper edge of one of the assembly of the cylinder lock 11 serving stop 48 of the lock plate 12 defined, each after which upper edge is higher, since the needle cylinder 9 during installation and removal must be removed or installed over these edges and not by the The dial can be prevented.
- FIG. 9 to 11 For tedious manual lifting of the needle cylinder 9 from the machine frame To avoid 1 is provided in a further embodiment of the invention (Fig. 9 to 11), in the state of the needle cylinder 9 raised by the lifting screws 44 between whose lower edge and the upper edge of the support ring 8, the centering projection 39 and / or of the stop 48 to insert two mounting rails 49 and these in the manner of chords to apply to the circle formed by the support ring 8. The needle cylinder 9 is there then by unscrewing the lifting screws 44 on these mounting rails 49 removed and can then be pulled out laterally with little effort.
- the mounting rails 49 can either in the area of the column 36 (Fig. 5) or be provided or inserted at other points, only being ensured must that they do not collide with the lifting screws 44.
- the mounting frame points 53 e.g. a frame with on the frame feet 2 or other parts of the machine frame 1 stackable rods 55 and a transverse to it, as an abutment for the mounting rails 49 serving support rod 56.
- FIG 1 and 2 show the mounting frame 53 in the state approached to the circular knitting machine, the mounting rails 49 in the inserted state and a needle cylinder 9 both in its normal operating position inside the machine as well as in a dashed line from the machine frame 1 extended position 9a. After removing and installing the needle cylinder 9 that can Assembly frame 53 are moved away from the circular knitting machine.
- the rib washer 24 lies in the assembled state with an upper mounting surface 59 (Fig. 11) on a lower end surface 60 of the carrier 23 and is with screws 61st attached to the bracket 23. It is therefore desirable, together with the needle cylinder 9 to remove the dial 24 is only necessary, the screws 61 loosen and place the dial 24 on the top of the needle cylinder 9, as indicated in Fig. 11 by a dashed line 24a.
- the height of the spacer 35 in the direction of the axis 10 is such that the highest point of the unit consisting of the needle cylinder 9 and the dial 24 placed after removal of the spacer 35 and after placing the needle cylinder 9 on the mounting rails 49 is securely below the lower end surface 60 of the carrier 23. If it should be possible to remove or install only the needle cylinder 9, its stitch wiping edge must lie below the lowest point of the dial 24 after being placed on the mounting rails 49.
- the rib lock 25 is fastened to a lower, rib-like, protruding rib lock carrier 62 that overlaps the carrier 23 at the lower end of the support tube 15, it is immaterial whether a surface 63 formed by the webs for the rib needles (FIG. 11 ) of the dial 24 in the same plane as the mounting surface 59 or above or below the same, since the necessary dimension for lowering the needle cylinder 9 can be determined by the height of the spacer 35.
- the arrangement is of course made such that the carrier shaft 18 is brought into its highest position by means of the adjusting member 29 before the installation or removal of a needle cylinder 9 and the comb distance d (FIG. 3) can thereby be made so large that the needle cylinder 9 can be raised sufficiently to remove the spacer 35 and, if necessary, can be removed with or without a dial 24.
- the dial 24 on the needle cylinder 9 is placed to arrange a mounting protection 64 (Fig. 11) between the two.
- the needle cylinder 9 can be rotated if necessary Lifting screws 44 are first lowered to a position below the actual one Installation position is before it is raised again.
- the Mounting rails 49 are expedient only after installation protection 64 has been inserted introduced.
- the needle cylinder 9 is by means of a spacer 68, which preferably consists of at least two parts in the circumferential direction, on one Supporting surface 69 (Fig. 13) of a support ring 70 supported on the inside with a height-adjustable centering ring 71 is provided.
- This centering ring 71 has Elongated holes 72, which by fastening screws 73 screwed into the support ring 70 are protruded, which the centering ring 71 in the tightened state at a height (Fig.
- the centering ring 71 can otherwise in the circumferential direction of the needle cylinder 9 may be closed or of individual ones separated by column 71a (FIG. 13) Segments exist and points in the section which in FIG. 12 is the lower edge of the Overhanging needle cylinder 9, radial threaded bores and centering screws screwed into them 74, whose function with the function of the centering screws 46 (Fig. 6) is identical.
- the support ring 70 is analogous to FIGS. 1 to 11 with U-shaped guide grooves open at the top 75 provided, in the at least two, suitably arranged parallel lifting and Mounting rails 76 are inserted or can be inserted.
- the centering ring 71 U-shaped grooves 77 (FIG. 13), which are aligned with the guide grooves 75 and even when the lifting and mounting rails 76 are inserted, raising or lowering the Allow centering ring 71.
- the lifting and mounting rails 76 have a non-circular and in the embodiment in essential oval cross section. The dimensions are chosen so that the lifting and Mounting rails 76 in the normal operating position of the needle cylinder 9 in are essentially only in one position in the guide grooves 75 in which their smallest diameter parallel to the axis 10 (Fig. 3) of the needle cylinder 9, wherein they are supported with one side on the bottom of the associated guide groove 75 while their diametrically opposite sides on the one hand slightly above the top of the Support ring 70 (dashed line 78 in Fig. 12), but on the other hand because of The presence of the spacer 68 slightly below the lower edge of the needle cylinder 9 (line 79 in FIG. 12) or a guide groove 80 formed therein come to lie.
- the binding and removal of the needle cylinder 9 of the circular knitting machine according to FIGS. 12 to 14 can be done in the following ways:
- the centering screws 74 are turned back and the lifting and mounting rails 76 inserted into the guide grooves 75 according to FIG. 12, provided that they are not represent a permanent part of the circular knitting machine.
