Abstract

The lamp unit has an elongate lamp housing (14) which is symmetrical to its vertical longitudinal centre plane (26), which screens the greater part of the downwards directed light. A pair of light tubes (28) lie on either side of the vertical longitudinal centre plane, with associated reflectors (30) angled upwards relative to the centre plane from a point (32) in the upper half of the light tube periphery. Pref. each reflector has a convex curvature on the side facing the vertical centre plane and a concave curvature on the side facing the light tube, with a lipped top edge (36) bent in the direction of the light tube.

Description

The invention relates to a wide-beam indirect light according to the preamble of claim 1.

With a so-called short suspended lamp, the distance between the ceiling and the lower edge of the lamp must be as small as possible. Such luminaires are required in rooms with a height of less than 2.5 m. The problem here is that a free passage height of about 2.2 m is required under the lamp. If you hang the lamp up for a short time, you can expect a high luminance on the ceiling, which is not practical for lighting. This problem also occurs with stand lamps with a very high stand if the lamp itself is close to the ceiling.

Although numerous lights of this type, also with differently shaped reflectors, are known, for example from DE-GM 74 14 939 and 89 08 742 and CH-PS 193 757, the problem mentioned has not yet been solved satisfactorily. This also applies to the luminaire of the type mentioned at the outset, known from German utility model DE-GM 7 414 939, in which the light of each fluorescent tube is the same upward radiating reflector is provided.

The invention is therefore intended to improve a luminaire of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that on the one hand excessive luminance on the ceiling directly above the luminaire is avoided, and on the other hand the greater part of the emitted light is emitted laterally and obliquely upwards in order to achieve a good and to achieve uniform illumination of the room.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

Due to the inclined upward inclination of the reflectors directly above the fluorescent tubes, the greater part of the light radiation is deflected laterally upwards in a large angular range, while only the light component emerging upwards on the inner side of the reflectors towards the central plane of the luminaire housing is directly above the Illuminated ceiling area illuminated in a suitable strength.

Advantageous refinements of the invention are protected in the subclaims.

Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the figures. It shows:

Since the distance A from the ceiling 10 to the lower edge 12 of the lamp housing 14 according to FIG. 1 should be as small as possible for the reasons explained above, the relatively flat lamp housing 14 is by means of a short lamp shaft 16 and an approximately conical ceiling rose 18 at a short distance from the Ceiling 10 attached. The lower part 20 of the lamp housing 14 is curved slightly convex downwards and consists of an opaque material, which, however, e.g. in the form of a perforated plate or by means of other breakthroughs can optionally let more or less light down. At the side edges of the lamp housing 14, the lower part 20 ends in sections 22 which are bent upwards. A well translucent upper part 24 of the lamp housing 14 can advantageously be connected to the upper ends of the sections 22 which are inclined upwards and inwards.

The luminaire housing 14 is formed symmetrically to a vertical central plane 26 which extends in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the luminaire housing 14. At the same distance from the central plane 26 and at the same height above the lower part 20, ie approximately at the level of the bent portions 22 of the lamp housing 14, a fluorescent tube 28 running parallel to the central plane 26 is arranged. A substantially strip-shaped reflector 30 with a flat downward concavity is attached above each fluorescent tube, the lower edge of which rests approximately at a point 32 on the upper half of the circumference of the fluorescent tube or to a small extent Distance from the same is arranged. In the embodiment shown, this point 32 is displaced from the apex line 34 of each tube 28 to the central plane 26. At its end remote from the respectively associated fluorescent tube 28, each reflector 30 has an angled portion 36 which serves to stiffen it in the longitudinal direction and points obliquely outwards and downwards. The relatively flat reflectors 30 are slightly convex upwards and inwards, ie towards the central plane 26 and slightly concave outwards and downwards.

In the area between the two reflectors 30 and the two fluorescent tubes 28, an additional reflector 38 is provided which is arranged symmetrically with respect to the central plane 26 and which forms an obliquely upward and inward inclined plane reflector surface 40 on both sides of the central plane 26, which coincides with the respective opposite reflector 30 includes an upward widening acute angle. This angle is based on the average inclination of the vertical section of the reflector 30 without taking into account its curvature. Each flat reflector surface 40 has at its lower edge an angled portion 42 pointing towards the central plane 26.

Each reflector 30 essentially serves to direct the light emanating from the light tube 28 for the most part into an angular region B, indicated by dashed lines and pointing obliquely upwards to the side. The lower limit 44 of the angular range B is determined by the upper edge of the bent section 22, while the upper limit 46 is determined by the outer edge of the bend 36. By changing the width of the section 22 and the bend 36 as well as the curvature of the reflector 30 and the position of the Point 32, the opening of the angular range B can be changed within certain limits.

That from the tube 28 upwards and inwards, i.e. Light emitted in the direction of the ceiling and the central plane 26 emerges in an angular range C which is directed essentially directly upwards to the ceiling 10. By choosing the position of the point 32, the proportion of this light in the total radiation of the fluorescent tube 28 can be adjusted. The outer boundary 48 of the angular range C is determined by the convexly curved inside of the reflector 30, while the outer boundary 50 is determined by the reflective surface 40 of the reflector 38.

The rest of the light from the fluorescent tubes 28 goes down onto the inner surface of the lower part 20 of the lamp housing 14. It is also partly reflected upwards from here and on the other hand comes down to a small part, e.g. through holes in a perforated plate or the like. The bends 42 of the central additional reflector 38 serve to illuminate the lower part 20 more uniformly in order to achieve a uniform brightness effect when the lamp is viewed from below.

In order to avoid excessive luminance in the reflector 30 (concave side), an area 52 of the inner surface of the lamp housing 14 (visible reflection area of the reflector 30 in viewing direction D) can be designed with less reflection.

This prevents excessive glare when the lamp is viewed horizontally in the direction of Arrow D enters.

In FIG. 2, the lamp shown in FIG. 1 is shown in its short suspension on the ceiling 10 in an approximate relationship to the room height, while in FIG is.
