Folienbahnen, mit wenigstens zwei Ab- rolleinheiten (1a,1b,1c), in der jeweils eine mit in pe¬ riodischen Abständen aufgebrachten Markierungen versehene Papierbahn (3a,3b,3c) mittels Abzugswalzen (7a,8a, 7b,8b, 7c,8c) von einer Rolle (2a,2b,2c) abgezogen und, gegebe¬ nenfalls über Umlenkwalzen (13a, 13b,13c) geführt, mit der wenigstens zweiten Papierbahn (3a,3b,3c) zusammenge¬ führt und einer Bearbeitungsstrecke (11) zugeführt wird, in der vorzugsweise die wenigstens zwei Papierbahnen (3a,3b,3c) - gegebenenfalls voneinander unabhängige - Be¬ arbeitungseinheiten durchlaufen und einer Weiterverarbei- tungseinheit (15) zugeführt werden, dadurch gekennzeich¬ net, dass Mittel zur kongruenten Längsregisterregelung der wenigstens zwei Papierbahnen (3a,3b,3c) vorgesehen sind, die folgende Teile umfassen:1. Verfahren zum Zusammenführen und Veredeln wenigstens zweier Papierbahnen, wobei jede der Papierbahnen (3a,3b,3c), die jeweils mit in periodischen Abständen aufgebrachten Markierungen versehen ist, in jeweils einer Abrolleinheit (1 ,1b,1c) mittels Abzugswalzen (7a,8a, 7b,8b, 7c,8c) von jeweils einer Rolle (2a,2b,2c) abgezo¬ gen und gegebenenfalls über Umlenkwalzen (13a,13b,13c) geführt wird, wonach die wenigstens zwei Papierbahnen (3a,3b,3c) zusammengeführt und einer Bearbeitungsstrecke (11), in der sie - gegebenenfalls voneinander unabhängige - Bearbeitungseinheiten durchlaufen, und einer Weiterver¬ arbeitungseinheit (15) zugeführt werden, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, dass über die Bahnbreite jeder der wenigstens zwei Bahnen (3a,3b,3c) eine im wesentlichen gleiche Pa¬ pierspannung aufgebaut wird und dass die zeitliche Ab¬ folge der Markierungen jeder Papierbahn (3a,3b,3c) regi¬ striert wird, welche Registrierung in Form von Signalen einer Steuereinheit (19) zugeführt, mit einem vorgegebe- nen Referenzwert verglichen wird und der Ansteuerung ei¬ nes - insbesondere den jeweiligen Abzugswalzen (7a,8a, 7b,8b, 7c,8c) zugeordneten - Antriebs bzw. einer Brems¬ vorrichtung dient.8.
