Definitions
- the invention relates to an all-terrain vehicle of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1.
- off-road vehicles are preferably used for mobile air defense and / or for mobile flight reconnaissance and are able to change their location very quickly.
- small, light four-wheel drive vehicles are used, as they are known as off-road vehicles, which can also operate on light, unpaved ground.
- the anti-aircraft device equipped with anti-aircraft bodies is attached to a turntable mounted directly on the loading surface.
- Two missile launching tubes (launcher) are pivotably held in elevation on two support columns standing upright from the slewing ring.
- the swivel axis of the launcher is above the cab roof, so that no restriction in the launch direction of the launcher up to the horizontal has to be accepted.
- All other device components are arranged in the immediate vicinity of the turntable, so that the center of gravity of the anti-aircraft device is very low and seen in the direction of travel in front of the motor vehicle rear axle.
- this vehicle has a relatively long wheelbase, ie a large distance from the front and rear axles .
- This known vehicle has the disadvantage that it is not in certain aircraft, such as airplanes, helicopters and the like, because of its long wheelbase and because of the device parts protruding above the cab. Like., Can be transported, so it is not airborne and its area of use is therefore significantly limited.
- a light, movable combat platform for surface-to-surface and surface-to-air use on a self-propelled gun is known, in which a group of light defense weapons (for example several steerable missiles) are arranged on a carrier unit, which means a hydraulic lifting device can be lifted far above the cab. It is possible to lower the carrier unit to the cab height.
- a hydraulic lifting device is not very suitable for light wheeled vehicles because of its great weight, since the total weight of the device, carrier unit and hydraulic lifting device exceeds the payload approved for the vehicle in most applications.
- a machine gun is attached to a turntable, which in turn can be pivoted in a manner on the vehicle floor held swivel frame is added.
- the swivel frame consists of two longitudinal spars, which are accommodated at one end in swivel bearings located near the driver's cab on the vehicle floor and carry the turntable at the other end, and which are braced together by the frame stiffeners that serve to reinforce the frame.
- the machine gun with swivel head and swivel frame is swung down to the vehicle floor and hidden within the closed loading space of the vehicle body.
- the swivel frame is set up vertically and locked on the vehicle side, so that the machine gun rises through a roof hatch in the vehicle body over the roof and can be swiveled vertically by means of the turntable in the horizontal plane and within a bearing block attached to the turntable.
- Such a swivel frame construction is not suitable for the accommodation of heavy equipment, such as anti-aircraft and reconnaissance devices, neither in relation to the static requirements for the swivel frame, nor in relation to the requirements given by an all-terrain vehicle with a short wheelbase.
- a likewise known tracked vehicle (US 3 800 659) is equipped with a rocket launcher which is completely accommodated in the interior of the vehicle and can be swung out for use by a hatch and can be locked in a firing position above the vehicle body.
- the rocket launcher is arranged near the rear end of the vehicle and is pivoted about a pivot axis defined near the rear wall and top edge of the vehicle. Such a construction is not suitable for light wheeled vehicles.
- the invention has for its object to equip an off-road, light vehicle with a short wheelbase with a device for air defense and / or flight reconnaissance so that it meets the requirements for air transportability and neither the function of the device nor the vehicle is impaired in its driving properties .
- the vehicle according to the invention has the advantage that it is air-displaceable in the transport position of the device, that is to say that the device with a center of gravity which is laid low to the ground remains within the contour of the vehicle designed with a short wheelbase for the air-transportability, that its good position remains in the transport position of the device Driving characteristics remain unaffected by the center of gravity of the device and platform, which is laid low to the floor, and that the device in its manageable position of use, which is usually only used when the vehicle is at a standstill, lies above the roof edge and is therefore at a height above the floor that is sufficient for its full functionality .
- the swiveling platform enables a light frame construction for its attachment to the loading surface, which can consist, for example, of aluminum hollow profiles, so that the frame weight can be kept low and the total weight of the device, in particular the launching device, and the platform with frame within the payload limits of the light wheeled vehicle remains.
- the surface of the platform receiving the device is in the use position of the platform with only a small distance from the roof edge of the driver's cab.
- the device is in its position of use completely above the driver's cab, which ensures unrestricted swiveling of the device about its horizontal axis also towards the floor. This means that control systems can also be installed on the platform that are aimed at ground targets.
- the frame supporting the platform has a U-shaped frame which extends approximately horizontally parallel to the loading area and has a U-opening facing away from the cab.
- the frame is attached to the bed by means of support struts, and the platform is arranged with its pivot axis near the crossbar of the U-frame so that in its use position it either rests against the underside of the frame or swivels into the plane of the frame. In this position of use, the platform can be locked to the frame.
- the light, all-terrain vehicle 10 sketched in a side view in FIG. 1 is an all-terrain vehicle with four-wheel drive and a relatively short wheelbase, that is to say a short distance between the front axle 11 and the rear axle 12, which is designed in such a way that its dimensions (length, width, height) allow loading allowed in a designated transport aircraft.
- This vehicle 10 is equipped with an anti-aircraft device 15 known per se, which is mounted on a loading area 14 behind a two-seat cab 13.
- This known anti-aircraft device 15 has two rigidly coupled launch tubes, so-called launcher 16, for firing anti-aircraft bodies with an infrared target seeker and a fire control system for target acquisition, target tracking, meeting point calculation and launcher setting.
- the components of the fire control system are designated 17 and 18 in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the launcher 16 can be pivoted about a horizontal axis 19 and rotated about a vertical axis 20, for which purpose the anti-aircraft device 15 is connected to the vehicle 10 via a turntable 21 and the launcher 16 are mounted between two bearing blocks 22 protruding at right angles from the turntable 21.
- the anti-aircraft device 15 is fastened via the turntable 21 to a platform 23 which is pivotably arranged in a frame 24 anchored on the loading surface 14 of the vehicle 10.
- the pivot axis 25 extends approximately horizontally parallel to the loading area 14.
- the frame 24 comprises an approximately parallel to the loading area 14 below the highest point 26 'of the roof edge 26 of the driver's cab 10 and as close as possible to this U-shaped frame 27, as shown in FIG 4 and 5 can be seen, as well as support struts acting on the frame 27, by means of which the frame 27 is supported on the loading surface 14.
- the U-shaped frame 27 is oriented so that the U-opening is turned away from the cab 13, the crosspiece 271 of the frame 27 is located transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle near the cab 13 and the legs 272 and 273 of the frame 27 are parallel to one another at a distance extend to the vehicle's longitudinal axis.
- the support struts are made up of a total of two vertical struts 28, which extend vertically at a distance from one another parallel to the rear wall of the cab, from two oblique struts 29 which run obliquely at a distance from one another, from two pairs of stiffening struts 30 and 31 each running at a parallel distance from one another and from a cross strut 31 (FIG.
- the vertical struts 28 each engage one of the legs 272, 273 of the U-shaped frame 27 in the region of the crosspiece 271 and run approximately parallel to the rear wall of the cab.
- the two oblique struts 29 engage in the region of the U opening on the two legs 272 and 273 of the U-shaped frame 27 and are fastened on the rear surface 12 of the vehicle 10 close to the rear axle 12 near the end of the latter.
- the two stiffening struts 30 run from the base point of the vertical struts 28 to the legs 272, 273 of the frame 27 and the two stiffening struts 31 from the base of the oblique struts 29 to the vertical struts 28, to which they are attached at a distance from the frame 27.
- the transverse strut 32 (FIGS. 4 and 5) extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle connects the two oblique struts 29 at a distance from their base points.
- the platform 23 is rotatably mounted in the legs 272, 273 of the U-shaped frame 27 via two bearing journals 33, 34 aligned with the pivot axis 25, as is indicated schematically in FIGS. 4 and 5.
- the platform 23 can now be pivoted about this pivot axis 25 in such a way that in its position of use it swivels completely into the frame 27, so that it is essentially flush with the frame 27 on the top and bottom.
- the platform 23 can be locked on the frame 27 by means of locking pins 35 and 36 arranged on the frame 27 and on the platform 23.
- the platform 23 can be pivoted until it extends approximately vertically along the rear wall of the cab in its transport position (FIGS. 2, 3 and 4).
- the anti-aircraft device 15 pivots through the U-shaped frame 27 and, in the transport position of the platform 23, lies below the frame 27 and thus below the roof edge 26 of the driver's cab 13, as shown in FIG. 2.
- the anti-aircraft device 15 does not protrude beyond the highest contour line 26 of the vehicle in the transport position, so that the maximum dimension specified by the contour edge 26 for loading in aircraft is maintained.
- the Platform 23 on or near the crossbar 271 of the U-shaped frame 27 in the transport position, the center of gravity of the launcher 15 in front of the vehicle rear axle 12 and relatively close to the loading surface 14.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an all-terrain vehicle of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1.
Such off-road vehicles are preferably used for mobile air defense and / or for mobile flight reconnaissance and are able to change their location very quickly. In order to limit mobility, small, light four-wheel drive vehicles are used, as they are known as off-road vehicles, which can also operate on light, unpaved ground.
In a known vehicle of this type, the anti-aircraft device equipped with anti-aircraft bodies is attached to a turntable mounted directly on the loading surface. Two missile launching tubes (launcher) are pivotably held in elevation on two support columns standing upright from the slewing ring. The swivel axis of the launcher is above the cab roof, so that no restriction in the launch direction of the launcher up to the horizontal has to be accepted. All other device components are arranged in the immediate vicinity of the turntable, so that the center of gravity of the anti-aircraft device is very low and seen in the direction of travel in front of the motor vehicle rear axle. This makes the vehicle's driving characteristics despite the relatively heavy Anti-aircraft device, the weight of which is close to the permissible payload of the vehicle, does not adversely affect. In order to have the loading area sufficiently large to accommodate the turntable and to arrange it so that the center of gravity of the anti-aircraft device lies in front of the rear axle of the vehicle, this vehicle has a relatively long wheelbase, ie a large distance from the front and rear axles .
This known vehicle has the disadvantage that it is not in certain aircraft, such as airplanes, helicopters and the like, because of its long wheelbase and because of the device parts protruding above the cab. Like., Can be transported, so it is not airborne and its area of use is therefore significantly limited.
From DE-OS 2 205 826 a light, movable combat platform for surface-to-surface and surface-to-air use on a self-propelled gun is known, in which a group of light defense weapons (for example several steerable missiles) are arranged on a carrier unit, which means a hydraulic lifting device can be lifted far above the cab. It is possible to lower the carrier unit to the cab height. Such a hydraulic lifting device is not very suitable for light wheeled vehicles because of its great weight, since the total weight of the device, carrier unit and hydraulic lifting device exceeds the payload approved for the vehicle in most applications.
In a known patrol vehicle for rapid deployment in the fight against terrorism (US 4,667,565), a machine gun is attached to a turntable, which in turn can be pivoted in a manner on the vehicle floor held swivel frame is added. The swivel frame consists of two longitudinal spars, which are accommodated at one end in swivel bearings located near the driver's cab on the vehicle floor and carry the turntable at the other end, and which are braced together by the frame stiffeners that serve to reinforce the frame. Outside the combat insert, the machine gun with swivel head and swivel frame is swung down to the vehicle floor and hidden within the closed loading space of the vehicle body. For combat purposes, the swivel frame is set up vertically and locked on the vehicle side, so that the machine gun rises through a roof hatch in the vehicle body over the roof and can be swiveled vertically by means of the turntable in the horizontal plane and within a bearing block attached to the turntable. Such a swivel frame construction is not suitable for the accommodation of heavy equipment, such as anti-aircraft and reconnaissance devices, neither in relation to the static requirements for the swivel frame, nor in relation to the requirements given by an all-terrain vehicle with a short wheelbase.
A likewise known tracked vehicle (US 3 800 659) is equipped with a rocket launcher which is completely accommodated in the interior of the vehicle and can be swung out for use by a hatch and can be locked in a firing position above the vehicle body. The rocket launcher is arranged near the rear end of the vehicle and is pivoted about a pivot axis defined near the rear wall and top edge of the vehicle. Such a construction is not suitable for light wheeled vehicles.
The invention has for its object to equip an off-road, light vehicle with a short wheelbase with a device for air defense and / or flight reconnaissance so that it meets the requirements for air transportability and neither the function of the device nor the vehicle is impaired in its driving properties .
The object is achieved according to the invention in a vehicle of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1 by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1.
The vehicle according to the invention has the advantage that it is air-displaceable in the transport position of the device, that is to say that the device with a center of gravity which is laid low to the ground remains within the contour of the vehicle designed with a short wheelbase for the air-transportability, that its good position remains in the transport position of the device Driving characteristics remain unaffected by the center of gravity of the device and platform, which is laid low to the floor, and that the device in its manageable position of use, which is usually only used when the vehicle is at a standstill, lies above the roof edge and is therefore at a height above the floor that is sufficient for its full functionality . The swiveling platform enables a light frame construction for its attachment to the loading surface, which can consist, for example, of aluminum hollow profiles, so that the frame weight can be kept low and the total weight of the device, in particular the launching device, and the platform with frame within the payload limits of the light wheeled vehicle remains.
Advantageous embodiments of the vehicle according to the invention with further refinements and improvements of the invention are specified in the further claims.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the surface of the platform receiving the device is in the use position of the platform with only a small distance from the roof edge of the driver's cab. The device is in its position of use completely above the driver's cab, which ensures unrestricted swiveling of the device about its horizontal axis also towards the floor. This means that control systems can also be installed on the platform that are aimed at ground targets.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the frame supporting the platform has a U-shaped frame which extends approximately horizontally parallel to the loading area and has a U-opening facing away from the cab. The frame is attached to the bed by means of support struts, and the platform is arranged with its pivot axis near the crossbar of the U-frame so that in its use position it either rests against the underside of the frame or swivels into the plane of the frame. In this position of use, the platform can be locked to the frame.

The light, all-
The
The
The pivoting up and down of the
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment described above.
