Definitions
- the invention relates to a standing table according to the preambles of claims 1 and 2.
- Standing tables of the generic type are used for a variety of purposes. For example, such tables can be used to present goods in a shop window or as stands for drinks glasses outdoors.
- an umbrella table is known, the base of which is hollow and which serves to accommodate a folded umbrella (DE-PS 287 163).
- This umbrella table has a table top with an opening into which a screen top can be inserted.
- the foot of the umbrella table is hollow, but not conical on the inside. This means that it is not possible to stack several table feet on top of one another. A stacking of several table feet is also prevented in that the table top is not detachable from the table foot.
- a stackable table which is of relatively simple construction (FR-A-794 102).
- This table has a hollow base and a table top.
- the table top is secured against displacement perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the base.
- the stand is made as a whole and conically shaped piece, which on the one hand means a relatively high manufacturing effort and on the other hand a light packaging of the whole standing table e.g. difficult for easy shipping.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of creating an assemblable and stable standing table, the individual parts of which can be produced inexpensively and packed in a very small space.
- the advantage achieved with the invention is in particular that the standing table is stackable, although it has a continuous table top and a separate base.
- the standing table according to the invention can also be made of very thin and inexpensive material, e.g. B. polypropylene or sheet metal. It is possible to use simple production processes such as punching, deep drawing, extruding, pressing, spraying or the rotary sintering process.
- Another advantage of the invention is that its base can be used for advertising purposes, the advertising texts or graphics being applied by means of screen printing.
- the standing table according to the invention can also serve as a waste container and as a carrier for flowers, lanterns and other uses. Finally, it is also possible to insert a light source into the base of the high table that illuminates the base.
- FIG. 1 shows an overall perspective view of the standing table 1 according to the invention, which essentially consists of a base 2 and a table top 3.
- the table top 3 has a depression 4 in its central area, which is surrounded by a bead 5.
- the circumference of the base 2, which has the shape of a hollow truncated cone, can be depressed and z. B. serve as advertising space.
- the recess 4 can serve to hold a flower insert on festive occasions or insert trays for peanuts and the like on other occasions. Lanterns, candles or ashtrays can also be introduced into the recess 4.
- the standing table 1 is shown once again in longitudinal section. It can be seen in this representation that not only the base 2 is frustoconical, but also the boundary wall 6 of the recess 4 and the cross section the table top 3. In addition, a frustoconical stiffening device 7 and a garbage bag 8 can be seen. A connecting element 9, which holds the edge zones of a film together, which forms the circumference of the base 2, is visible behind the garbage bag 8.
- the assembly of the standing table 1 according to the invention takes place essentially in two steps.
- the base 2 is produced by bending a relatively thin plastic film and hanging it with its ends in the connecting element 9.
- Two half-shells can also be provided, which are each suspended in two connecting elements 9, 39.
- the table top is moved from top to bottom, so that the boundary wall 6 of the recess engages in an upper opening of the base 2.
- the base 2 and the table top 3 are connected by means of screws 10, 11.
- the screws are inserted through holes 12, 13 in the table top 3 and screwed to the base 2.
- the standing table 1 is thus completed in its basic form.
- a garbage bag 8 is first introduced into the cavity of the base 2 from above, and its edge is placed over the end of the base 2 to the outside. Then the table top 3 is pressed down so that the edge of the garbage bag 8 is clamped between the base 2 and the table top 3.
- the conical shape of the base 2 ensures high stability, even if a very thin material is selected, e.g. B. 1 mm thick polypropylene.
- the table top 3 is, although also made of thin material, very stable, which u. a. is due to their cylindrical circumference.
- stiffening device 7 which has the shape of an upside-down truncated cone and with its wider end rests on the corner between the circumference 14 and the underside of the table top 3, while its narrower end rests on the Supports the outer wall of the base 2.
- the stand 2 consists of a transparent plastic material, so that a light source located in the stand is a Can illuminate advertising space, which is located on the circumference of the base 2.
- This light source can advantageously be accommodated in the area of the stiffening device 7, so that when the stiffening device consists of opaque plastic material, the light source itself cannot be seen.
- a development 15 of the circumference of the pedestal 2 is shown in more detail. This is only the processing of one half of the pedestal 2; the other half is constructed accordingly, but is not shown in FIG. 3.
- the outer edges of the development 15 are designated 17 and 18. These outer edges 17, 18 are inserted into connecting elements 9, 39, which also serve for fastening the outer edges of the other half of the base 2. So that the attachment can be carried out without using special tools, a groove 19, 20 is provided on the outside and in the vicinity of the outer edges 17, 18, which enables the ends of the development 15 to be flanged.
- the connecting element 9 with which two ends of two base halves are connected to each other, is shown in cross section.
- the base 2 has two such connecting elements, which lie opposite one another on the circumference of the base.
- the connecting element 9 has essentially the shape of a double-T beam, the openings of this beam each being provided with a ramp 21, 22. The ends of the plastic film halves are inserted into the connecting element 9 in the manner of a snap connection via these ramps 21, 22.
- the upper area of the standing table 1, which shows the table top 3 with the upper part of the pedestal 2, is shown again on an enlarged scale.
- the boundary wall 6, which forms the depression 4 for receiving flowers, etc., can be seen here.
- the garbage bag 8 can be seen, which is clamped between the base 2 and table top 3.
- the connecting element 9, which holds the foils forming the base 2 together, is shown in dashed lines.
- FIG. 6 A method for the production of the table top 3 is indicated in FIG. 6.
- the table top is initially given the shape as it results when the W- or double-U-shaped part 30 forms an extension of the boundary wall 6. With the aid of a cutting device, this part 30 is separated from the boundary wall 6, so that it acquires its shape already shown in FIGS. 2 and 5.
- the part 30 can now be used as an end cover 30 ', with which the recess 4 is closed.
- Fig. 7 shows several stacked standing tables according to the invention.
- the feet 40, 50, 60 and the table top 70, 80, 90 are each stacked separately one above the other.
- the stiffening elements 100, 110, 120 can also be stacked one above the other and placed on the table tops 70, 80, 90, which in turn stand on the stacked feet.
- FIG. 8 shows the stiffening device 7, which is only indicated in FIG. 2, once again in perspective. It can be seen here that the stiffening device 7 has the shape of a truncated cone jacket, the larger jacket circumference 31 of which is turned upwards, while its smaller jacket circumference 32 is directed downwards.
- the thickness of the truncated cone can be very small, e.g. B. 1 mm, and still ensure great stability.
- FIG. 9 shows a second variant of a stiffening device 33, which looks approximately like a cake pan and essentially consists of a first part 34 and a second part 35, which merge seamlessly into one another at a joint.
- the first part 34 corresponds essentially to the stiffening device 7 according to FIG. 8, but with the exception that a collar 36 with a bulge 37 is provided on the larger circumference of the jacket.
- the second part 35 corresponds to a reduced embodiment of the Stiffening device 7, the larger circumference 51 being at the bottom, while the smaller circumference 38 is at the top.
- a pedestal 2, a table top 3 and the stiffening device 33 according to FIG. 9 are shown in longitudinal section.
- the lower region of the base 2 has a stiffening ring 41.
- the stiffening device 33 unlike the stiffening device 7 — not only supports the table top 3 in a supporting manner, but can also carry it alone.
- the stiffening device 7 in FIG. 2 only supports the edge area of the table top 3, the central area of which is supported by the bead 5 resting on the upper edge of the base
- the bead in the stiffening device 33 according to FIGS. 9 and 10 can be in the table top 3 omitted because the table top 3 is supported only in its edge region by the collar 36 with the bulge 37.
- the table top 3 could thus completely dispense with the recess 4 with the boundary wall 6. If the cutout 4 and the boundary wall 6 are nevertheless shown in FIG. 10, the sole reason is that the cutout 4 is of general interest.
- the stiffening device 33 with its tapered second part 35 is simply placed on the upper region 42 of the conical base 2.
- the table top 3 is placed, which differs from the table top 3 according to FIGS. 1, 2 that it has a circumferential groove in the edge area, which serves as an engagement for the bulge 37. It also has no through holes 12, 13 because screwing is not required.
- the table top 3 can have a bead 5, in which the upper edge region 44 of the base 2 engages. However, as already mentioned, such a bead 5 is not necessary.
- the stiffening ring 41 provided in the lower region of the base 2 expediently has an inner and an outer downward bead 45, 46. This results in a wide groove 47 between the two beads 45, 46.
- FIG. 11 shows a cross section through a connection point of the foot 2, which corresponds in its inner area to the illustration in FIG. 4. It can be seen here that the connecting element 9 is enclosed at the top and from the outside by the second part 35 of the stiffening device 33, while it is enclosed at the bottom and from the inside by the outer bead 46 of the stiffening ring 41 is enclosed.
- the second part 35 of the stiffening device 33 is here provided with a bulge 48 which is as wide as the connecting element 9.
- the stiffening ring 41 has an indentation 49, the width of which corresponds to the width of the connecting element.
- FIG. 12 shows a variant of the device according to FIG. 10, in which a stand ring 52 is additionally provided at the lower end of the stand 2.
- This base ring 52 serves to provide the entire standing table 1 with better stability, so that it can be used in spite of its low weight even where there is strong wind, e.g. B. on a beach.
- This base ring 52 has a triangular cross section, which is formed by an outer wall 53 running obliquely downwards, a base ring 54 and an inner surface 55. In the outer wall 53 there is an opening 56 which can be closed by a screw closure 57.
- the interior of the hollow base ring 52 can be filled with sand or a liquid, so that the base ring is given a greater weight and gives the standing table good stability.
- the standing ring 52 can be placed over the standing foot 2 in the same way as the stiffening device 33.
- the stackability of the standing table 1 is not restricted by the standing ring 52, provided the stiffening ring 41 is removed.
- the base ring 52 is shown again in an individual representation and in perspective. It can be seen here that the base ring 52 has an inner groove 58 which serves to enclose the connecting element 9. As a result, the base ring 52 is immovable relative to the base 2. The size of the groove 58 corresponds to the groove which is formed by the bulge 48 according to FIG. 11.
- FIG. 14 shows a cross section through a variant of the base ring 52, which differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 13 in that it has four pins for the locking, two pins 61, 62 of which can be seen.
- one or two additional grooves 63, 64 can be provided, which, however, then do not have a locking function, but only enclose one or two connecting elements 9.
- the base ring 52 of FIG. 14 is shown in a view from below. You can see all four pins 61, 62, 65, 66, two grooves 63, 64 and the oblique one Inner wall 55.
- FIG. 16 shows a section A-A through the standing ring 52 according to FIG. 15.
- the pin 66 projects through an opening 67 into the stand 2.
- the connection between the base ring 52 and base 2 can be made in a simple manner by placing the base ring 52 over the base 2 and sliding it from top to bottom. Since the wall of the base 2 gives way when the pins 61, 62, 65, 66 press on and bends inwards, the pins 61, 62, 65, 66 can be pushed into the base 2 in the recesses provided for them. There they snap into place with appropriate horizontal positioning. The connection can be released again by pressing against the base 2 with a thumb or the like.
- the standing ring 52 is filled with water in FIG. 16; However, it can of course also be filled with sand or another substance.
- the stiffening 33 can also serve as a device for increasing the stability of the base 2 when this base 2 is turned upside down. So that the inverted stand 2 stands firmly on the floor, only the upper part 44 (FIG. 12) needs to be cut off, so that the upper edge of the stand 2 is aligned with the upper edge of the stiffening 33.
- the base ring 52 serves as a base for the table top 3. In order that the inverted device does not become top-heavy, the base ring 52 should not be filled with water or sand.
