A heavy closed-shed dobby, of the type comprising two actuating blades (11) driven in an opposed alternating movement to cooperate selectively with a rocking double hook (13) borne by each of the pivoting levers (14) connected to the heald frames (CL) of the corresponding weaving machine, characterised in that it comprieses two drums (16) rotating synchronously, which are oriented substantially parallel to the trajectory of the blades (11) and the periphery of which bearas two grooves (16a) with undulating inverse profiles, within which there are engaged pins (11a) provided axially at the end of each blade.
  2. A dobby according to Claim 1, characterised in that the two drums (16) are driven synchronously by means of a transmission by a belt and notched pulleys (18-19), by a chain or by gears.
