Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for dispensing portions of ice cream packaged in strips from their strip-shaped packaging with a container with at least one magazine for strip-shaped packaging of portions and an output mechanism with means for gradually removing the strip-shaped packages from the magazine, means for tearing open the strip-shaped packages Packages for removing a portion from their packaging, which means comprise at least one demoulding roller and a pair of disposal rollers, and means for disposing of the used films resulting from the tearing open.
  • US-A-3686820 In a context other than with ice cream, such a device is known from US-A-3686820.
  • This device known from US-A-3686820, is unsuitable for dispensing portions of ice cream packaged in strips from their strip-shaped packaging insofar as it does not allow open portions of ice cream for open desserts, in particular self-service, in a simple and easy manner in a technologically and hygienically clean manner to obtain a hygienically perfect type and in particular to dispense it in a provided bowl.
  • ice cream in open form is basically drawn from containers by the operating personnel, which are supplied by the ice cream manufacturer and then arranged in freezers or open refrigerated buffets. From a food technology and hygienic point of view, this form of dispensing has always been questionable; it is particularly unsuitable for purchasing ice cream through self-service. Ready-made ice cream products offered for self-service (ice cream cornets, ice cream cones etc.), on the other hand, cannot be presented or obtained in an appealing manner as a dessert, or even arranged as "coupes". The Providing even simple ice cream desserts in an open form, not to mention seductively designed coupes, is also very labor-intensive, so that any relief in this regard is of great benefit.
  • the invention has for its object to enable the purchase of open portions of ice cream for open desserts, in particular in self-service in a simple and hygienically flawless way.
  • portions of ice cream packed in strip-shaped packaging are available.
  • Such a strip-shaped packaging is known per se and is produced from two strip-shaped films provided with formations.
  • the inside of the formations forms a concave shape without an undercut, and the formations are arranged in rows in the longitudinal direction of the film at a distance from one another and from the edges of the film thereon.
  • the foils are placed on top of one another and connected to one another in such a way that the inner sides of their formations correspond to one another and in pairs each form a closed spherical or tetrahedral cavity.
  • a correspondingly spherical or tetrahedral portion of ice cream is packed in each cavity formed in this way.
  • the connection of the foils to one another is so easy to separate that each portion of ice cream can be removed undamaged from its packaging after the connection has been broken.
  • This strip-shaped packaging of portions of ice cream is then stored in a cooled magazine and is stored in a roll or zigzag form.
  • the strip-shaped packaging can be provided with predetermined kinks in order to facilitate rolling or zigzagging.
  • a device of the type specified at the outset is characterized by an embodiment of the container as a cooling container and an embodiment of the dispensing mechanism for the purpose of non-contact dispensing of a portion of ice cream that has been removed into the bowl a dispensing opening and an underlying receptacle for a tray provided directly under the dispensing opening, and an arrangement of a pair of demoulding rollers in the vicinity of the dispensing opening and essentially vertically one above the other for tearing open the strip-shaped packaging while at the same time redirecting the resulting from the tearing and from the disposal Rolls of used foils placed under tension, such that a portion of ice cream released by the tearing advances with the used foil attached to the lower demoulding roller during the dispensing process until it falls off this foil and then through the dispensing opening, whereupon it falls into a bowl provided directly underneath can get there.

  • the used foils 1b and 1s resulting from the tearing are then pressed flat by the disposal rollers 11 and wound onto the collecting rollers 12.
  • the disposal rollers 11 can be provided with blades for chopping the used foils 1b and 1s resulting from the tearing open.
  • Means for collecting the chopped used foils 1b and 1s are then provided, for example exchangeable waste containers into which the chopped foil parts are collected.
  • the dispensing mechanism can be coupled to an automatic cash dispenser.
  • the cash dispenser blocks the dispensing of portions of ice cream or releases them after inserting a coin.
  • the dispensing mechanism can be provided with or without an automatic cash dispenser so that it can be operated manually, or it can also be operated by an electric motor by means of a pushbutton control.
