Abstract

A sealing arrangement (100) for a door (T), especially a door without a threshold, is provided with a guide rail (2), which can be fixed in the region of the door-leaf bottom edge and has an elongated sealing body (1) which is displaceable on the guide rail transversely to its longitudinal direction and has a resilient sealing strip (5) which can be pressed against the floor. The sealing body (1) is movable by means of an actuating device (4) which is operative upon closing the door (T). Arranged preferably on both sides of the sealing member (1) is in each case one resilient scraping or sliding strip (6A, 6B) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the sealing body (1) and seals off the air gap (17) present at the side of the sealing body (1). The scraping or sliding strips (6A, 6B) are fixed to the door or the guide rail (2) and project with a flat lip part (16), at least in the uppermost working position of the sealing body (1), substantially horizontally or downwardly inclined relative to the sealing strip (5), or are designed as a brush. The flat lip parts (16) or the brush hairs bear sealingly on the sealing strip (5) with or close to their free edges (18). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a sealing arrangement for a, in particular threshold-free, door of the type corresponding to the preamble of claim 1.

In such sealing arrangements, an air gap is necessarily present between the sealing body which can be moved up and down and the guide rail guiding the sealing body over the entire length of the sealing arrangement. The sealing body usually consists of a sealing carrier made of profile material and an attached elastic sealing strip, which comes to rest on the floor. Such air gaps are usually located on both sides of the sealing body. Dust and dirt on the floor, in connection with the air draft created when moving the door under the lower edge of the door leaf, would quickly lead to inadmissible contamination of the actuating device for lifting and lowering the sealing body. This would negate the required smoothness of the sealing body after a short period of use - all the more as moisture entering the air gap leads to premature corrosion of metallic components.

With a generic sealing arrangement, as described, inter alia, in US Lit.: Progressive Architecture 2:77, p. 46 "Sound investment: Zero's new door bottoms" and DE-A2-32 37 524, these air gaps are formed by elongated cockroaches - or slide strips closed, which are fixed to the sealing body and with this and be moved. The part of the scraping or sliding bar which closes the air gap extends with a very large inclination, as in the US lit., or with a very slight inclination with respect to the vertical direction. According to DE-A2-32 37 524, the scraping or sliding strip extends downwards and outwards from the upper edge of the sealing body over approximately two thirds of the height of the sealing body, the free edge of the scraping or sliding configured as a sealing lip Bar on the inside of the vertical legs of the cross-sectionally U-shaped guide rail lies at a very acute angle. This arrangement has, inter alia, the disadvantage of relatively large frictional forces between the sealing strip and the guide rail, so that the smooth movement of the sealing body is unacceptably hindered. This friction also leads to rapid wear of the sealing lip. In particular, however, in the known embodiment there is a very deep, narrow gap between the outside of the sealing body and the inside of the sealing lip. The gap can be filled with dirt, which eliminates the mobility of the sealing lip and increases the friction. In contrast, the disadvantage of the slide bar in US lit. is, among other things, that it must fold over when the direction of movement changes and this fold over is energy-consuming.

In order to achieve particularly good smoothness of the sealing body with the best possible low wear, it has been proposed (EP-B1 138 771 and DE-C2-30 12 660) and has been successfully used in practice that the air gaps are U-shaped or C-shaped in cross-section Band seals made of elastic material, so-called roll seals, are closed, one downward pointing band leg being fastened to the guide profile and the other downward pointing band leg being fastened to the sealing body. As a result, when the sealing body is adjusted in height, the elastic band rolls off in the region of the U-yoke. These due to the lack of a sealing lip, however, a generic sealing arrangement has the disadvantage of taking up a relatively large amount of space in the width direction because of the two band seals which are U-shaped in cross section and located next to the sealing body. The resilience of such separate profiles opposes the lowering process with a not inconsiderable resistance, so that a correspondingly high release force is required. Another disadvantage of these sealing tapes is the change in position between the sealing body and the guide rail when the door is being closed and opened, because the consequent flexing of the sealing tape can lead to rapid wear of the sealing tape; in addition, the manufacture and assembly of the sealing tape is complex and the sealing tape is a hindrance when dismantling the sealing body.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to enable improved sealing and smooth movement of the sealing body in a generic sealing arrangement.

This object is achieved by the alternative technical teachings reproduced in claims 1, 2 and 3, which are based on the basic idea that at least one scraping or sliding strip with a longitudinal edge on or near the lower edge of the door leaf or on the guide rail of the sealing arrangement, in particular rigid , to fix.

The up and down movement of the sealing body is only comparatively slightly hampered by the freely projecting cantilever bar, which bends when the contact surface is shifted about a longitudinal axis or is designed as a brush, and is only slightly in contact. The scraping or sliding bar of the designs and arrangements according to the invention enable a particularly small overall width and overall height of the overall sealing arrangement. Despite the small contact area between the sealing body on the one hand and the On the other hand, a scraping or sliding bar provides a very satisfactory sealing of the air gaps against the ingress of dirt and moisture. In particular, in the embodiments according to claim 1, pressure and sealing increase the contact and sealing; In these embodiments, the scraping or sliding strips designed as sealing lips and the underside of the sealing strip form a closed lower boundary of the sealing arrangement which runs essentially at a height.

The assembly effort for the scraping or gliding strips, which can also be retrofitted and easily replaced if necessary, is low; in particular, the sealing strip does not need to be removed during this work. If the sealing body is close to the open position, so the force of the return spring is already reduced, the last rest of the stroke path is made easier by the embodiments of the scraping or sliding strip according to claim 1, since the scraping or sliding strip then has an additional one Contribute spring force.

Appropriate embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are contained in further claims.

The guide rail profile and the seal carrier profile are preferably essentially of U-shaped cross section. They are in opposite order, i.e. H. with a downwardly open "U" in the guide rail 2 and with an upwardly open "U" in the seal carrier 3, with the formation of a cavity 7 for accommodating the actuating device 4, and mutually adjustable in height.

The guide rail profile has hook-shaped profile webs 8A and 8B on the inside of the U-bend for holding and positioning the actuating device. These profile webs can also serve as an upper height stop for the sealing body 3.

At the free U-leg ends of the guide rail 2, a scraping or sliding bar 6A or 6B is attached. This is advantageously done in that the lip-shaped scraping or sliding made of an elastomeric plastic (e.g. highly elastic silicone rubber with a hardness of at most 50 Shore A, which has been given a surface treatment by talc, mica or the like to improve the lubricity) -Last detent means 9 for engaging behind corresponding undercuts 10 in the end faces of the free U-legs of the guide rail 2. The latching means 9 can in principle be provided punctually, ie at a distance from one another, but they preferably extend at least over longer sections and preferably over the entire length of the sealing arrangement without interruption. In the exemplary embodiment, a downwardly open groove 24 with projecting edge webs 13, 14 is provided in the lower end face of the leg of the guide rail 2 and the latching means are provided on the scraping or sliding strips 6A by a cross-section arrowhead or mushroom-shaped profile web 21, 6B ge forms, which engages behind the edge webs 13, 14 with the projecting parts. A flat lip part 16 lies from the outside on the lower end face on both sides of the opening of the groove 24 and projects from there in the force-free state, as is essentially the case in the uppermost position according to FIG. 1, horizontally inwards to the sealing strip 5 before. In this position, the lip part 16 is supported in its inner region on the edge web 14. If the seal carrier 1 is lowered, the flat lip part 16 bends downward in the manner shown in FIG. 2, the sealing contact on the sealing strip 5 being retained.

The sealing strip 5 consists of a hose made of an elastomeric material which is more dimensionally stable than that of the scraping or sliding strips 6A, 6B, ie a hollow chamber profile which has a flat top 5 "on the underside of the web of U-shaped cross section Seal carrier 3 rests and there engages undercuts of the seal carrier 3 with latching means 19. The outer circumference of the sealing strip 5 has approximately the shape of a lying half ellipse in cross section, which is convex downward, so that against the scraping or sliding strips 6A, 6B on both sides of a central part 5 'of the outer circumference surface areas 22 are present, which are inclined downwards and inwards and against which the scraping or sliding strips 6A, 6B abut with the front edge 18 of the flat lip part 16 and when the height changes Slide off the sealing body 1. As can be seen from Fig. 1, the scraping or sliding strips 6A, 6B form when the thickness is raised Htungsungskörper 1 with the central part 5 'of the sealing strip 5 a substantially continuous at the same height closed boundary surface of the seal assembly 100 down. When the sealing body 1 is lowered, the sealing strip 5 rests with the central part 5 'on the bottom B and, due to its elastic flexibility, is smaller Un flatness of the floor, so that there is a uniform sealing across the width of the door T.

Between the legs of the cross-sectionally U-shaped guide rail 2 are provided by an amount corresponding to the width of the grooves 24 inwardly spaced guide webs 11, which form parallel planar vertical guide surfaces 25, between which the seal carrier 3 with its mutually parallel flat outer surfaces 26 slidably is led.

Protective strips on the outer sides of the free U-leg ends of the guide rail 2 protect both the sealing strip 5 and, in particular, the scraping or sliding strips 6A and 6B. Otherwise, the outer surfaces of the profile webs 13, 14 parallel to the bottom B form contact surfaces for an outer projection 15 located in the plane of the flat lip part 16 or the upper side of the flat lip part 16 in the root region thereof.

With the flat lip parts 16, the scraping or sliding strips 6A, 6B cover the air gaps 17 which are necessarily present between the guide rail 2 on the one hand and the sealing body 3 on the other hand against the ingress of dirt, moisture and the like. The like. At an external pressure, the system and sealing effect increase.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the lip part 16 is also inclined downwards in the uppermost working position (shown) of the sealing body 1. For the fastening of the scraping or sliding strips 6A and 6B, their fastening parts 21 can be designed very simply, namely as flat webs. The grooves 24 provided on the guide rail 2 also have undercuts 10 which, in cooperation with correspondingly shaped profile webs 13 and 14, are adapted to the shape of the cross section of the fastening part 21 and the angled portion towards the lip part 16.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, elongated brushes 27 are provided instead of the lip parts 16 in the remaining exemplary embodiments. The brush hairs 28 rest with their tips or with their free end regions in practically all working positions of the sealing body 1, preferably on the lateral, in particular vertical, flanks of the sealing carrier 3. Because of their large number, they offer sufficient "tightness" in the sense of the purpose to be achieved here. The other details correspond in turn to those in the other exemplary embodiments and are therefore numbered identically.

In addition, the fastening part 21 of each brush 27 is supported in the groove 24 of the guide rail 2 on an elongated or several, approximately centrally provided elevations 29, in particular elastic.

Finally, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5, the lip part 16 is inclined essentially in the opposite direction to the lip parts according to the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 4. This embodiment has the advantage that the lip part 16 only comes into contact with the, usually metallic, guide rail 3, even when the sealing body 1 is in its uppermost working position. The lip part 16 therefore only touches a single and not two different materials and can therefore be particularly advantageous with regard to its sealing and sliding action on the material and the surface shape and surface quality of the seal carrier 3 be coordinated. As the lower working position of the sealing body 1 shown in dash-dotted lines shows, the sealing function of the lip part 16 is retained even in this extreme position of the sealing body in this embodiment. The remaining components correspond to those shown in the previous exemplary embodiments and are therefore numbered identically.
