Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vor­ richtung zur Herstellung maßhaltiger Preßlinge aus pulverförmigen Massen, insbesondere aus Metallpulver, auf einer Presse in einer Preßform mit mindestens einem Ober- und mindestens einem Unterstempel, bei dem die Preßstempel in der Preßendstellung auf vorgegebene Sollpositionen gefahren werden und wobei während des Pressens der Verlauf der Preßkraft mindestens eines der Stempel in Abhängigkeit vom Verfahrweg erfaßt und jeweils mit einem vorgegebenen wegabhängigen Toleranz­ band der Preßkraft verglichen wird. Um ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung anzugeben, das hinsichtlich der Formgenauigkeit der Preßlinge noch engere Toleranzen zuläßt und gleichzeitig die Gefahr der Ausschußpro­ duktion weiter vermindert, wird vorgeschlagen, daß bei einem Überschreiten des Toleranzbandes die Soll­ position des betreffenden Stempels in der Preßend­ stellung so verändert wird, daß die Höhe des Preßlings in der Preßendstellung um einen Betrag verringert wird, der der mit der größeren Preßendkraft einhergehenden erhöhten Auffederung des Preßlings nach seinem Aus­ formen entspricht, und bei einem Unterschreiten des Toleranzbandes umgekehrt verfahren wird.
