Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for the continuous intensive moistening of a textile web.

It is known that u. Like. The moisture of the fiber plays a crucial role. English fabrics, for example, owe their international reputation essentially to the fact that the moisture bound to the wool fiber is somewhat greater than that of the best fabrics of German or Italian origin. The reason for this is the predominantly wetter English climate. But even there, through increasing rationalization measures and production increases, the throughput times for production are getting shorter, because the otherwise usual breaks for air conditioning the wool are eliminated. However, the " artificial breaks" that have long been activated, for example through training measures, bring only a relatively small share of success. The humidification methods known to date only fulfill the tasks incompletely because the atomization of the water achieved is too coarse and consequently only a wetting of the material surface, but in no way an intimate connection of the moisture with the wool fiber, but especially with its core, u. Like. takes place.

The humidifiers on the market work according to different methods, e.g. B .:
  • 1.) Spraying the water using nozzles or rotors:
The achievable increase in moisture in the goods is limited (8 - 12%). Larger quantities (often over 5%) already produce uneven effects. In those places where the spray jets are covered, streaking on the goods becomes visible. Limescale deposits in the nozzles or rotors repeatedly cause further problems.
  • 2.) Humidifiers:
These devices, e.g. B. Nebelatoren o. The like. Bring a relatively good uniformity over the entire width of the goods, if suitable machines are available with even suction that suck the moisture offered through the goods. However, the achievable, effective moisture values are also relatively low here.
  • 3.) Devices for moistening the goods by applying a liquid film:
These devices can also only be used to a limited extent for wool or wool blended fabrics, because tearing off the liquid film repeatedly causes irregularities when splashing (formations, stains, drops, streaks or the like).
However, the correct and, above all, uniform moisture content of woolen goods or the like is very important, even decisive for fixing processes, in particular to achieve permanent fixing processes in the wet (flat-setting hydroflat fixation) and in the dry state (Permenentdekatur). In the z. Hydroflat fixation, which is currently carried out in practice, is used to process the fixative in the wet state, that is to say after the padding process or the like has been squeezed off, with a residual moisture content of approximately 50-70%, depending on the quality of the paddle or the like.

This device consists of a trough filled with a treatment liquid, in which a drum rotates. When passing through the liquid bath, the web-like material is guided by a permeable follower on the drum surface. The impregnation of the material web is intensified by the fact that the treatment liquid is pressed back and forth through the material web. For this purpose, pressure and vacuum cells are provided in the drum.

Such impregnation processes cause high costs because a lot of energy is required for drying in order to bring the wet goods back to normal moisture after fixing. However, scientific studies have already clearly shown a few years ago that the best fixation values, e.g. B. woolen goods can achieve between 25 and 35% moisture. Such However, values - at least until today - cannot be achieved in practice.

With total wetting in a water bath and subsequent squeezing process, around 5D% moisture content can be achieved in the limit case. On the other hand, the humidification of dry goods brings a maximum of 10 - 12%, whereby these values only have to be regarded as instantaneous values. The moisture does not go into the depth of the fiber and is partly released again through evaporation to the environment - unfortunately usually still unevenly. However, unequal moistening effects lead to equivalently unequal fixing effects.

In this method, an endless idler track provided with the treatment liquor and the textile web are pressed together on a contact section by means of an endless pressure track, so that part of the treatment liquor is transferred to the textile web. Outside the contact path, the idler track serving as an intermediate carrier is then loaded again with the required amount of treatment liquor. The outer surface of a cylinder drum, on which the textile web and the idler are pressed through the pressure web, is preferably used as the contact path. The contact pressure of the pressure track can be realized either by a tensile force applied in its longitudinal direction or by a negative pressure in the cylinder drum. In the latter case, the outer surface of the cylinder drum is perforated and the pressure path is impermeable to air.

Der zweite Mitläufer gibt nun einen Teil der vom ersten Mitläufer übertragenen Behandlungsflotte an die Textilbahn ab.In one embodiment of DE-OS 28 08 949, a device for carrying out the method is described, in which a second follower rests on the perforated drum jacket and a negative pressure is present inside the drum. Here two airtight pressure tracks are provided, each spanning approximately half-sided drum sections. In the first drum section, the first follower serving as an intermediate carrier runs onto the cylinder drum between the first pressure belt and the second follower and delivers a certain amount of treatment liquor to the second follower on this contact path. This then arrives with the rotating drum in the area of the second pressure belt, the textile web to be treated running onto the drum between the second pressure belt and the second follower. The second follower now releases part of the treatment fleet transferred from the first follower to the textile web.

A streak-free and intensively working humidifier that works continuously at a speed of at least 16 to 25 m / min. Goods transport speed that brings the required results does not yet exist.

This is where the idea of the invention begins. The object of the invention is to demonstrate a method and an apparatus for carrying it out, with which continuous streak-free intensive moistening of the textile web to be treated can be carried out at a comparatively high speed thereof. This object is achieved by means of a method according to claim 1.

The tensioned idler is then heated with a hot, gaseous medium, e.g. Steam or hot air is applied.

The device for carrying out the method according to the invention has a cylindrical, rotatable drum which can be connected to a vacuum source and has a perforated lateral surface against which the one follower rests, the other follower being an endless pressure band which is under tension against the part of the textile web which wraps around the drum is present.

According to a further feature of the device according to the invention, the follower formed as an endless printing belt is guided over deflecting rollers, of which at least one deflecting roller can be adjusted and locked to change the contact pressure, part of the deflecting rollers being drive rollers for the follower.

The drum is immersed in a container filled with water and holding a heating device.

With the proposal according to the invention, the required moisture values (up to 35%) of the goods can be achieved without streaks. In addition, the degree of moistening can also be influenced by other parameters, regardless of the speed of the goods. B. from the temperature of the water bath, the level of the water in the tank (immersion depth of the drum), the suction volume of the vacuum generator and the amount of steam.

Another advantage is that less pressing or finishing effects are lost in the goods due to the wetting under surface pressure than with wetting without surface pressure. The goods under surface pressure are less transformed in the direction they are in, because fiber swelling and lumen increase are prevented. The amount of activity offered is pressed into the core of the goods.

Further features of the invention emerge from the subclaims, the following description and the drawing. The drawing shows a vertical section through the device according to the invention.

Der Mitläufer 2 kann auch endlos ausgebildet und über Umlenkwalzen geführt werden.1 with the cylindrical, rotatably mounted drum of the device is designated, the outer surface of which is perforated. The drum 1 is connected to a vacuum source, not shown, e.g. B. a vent u. Like. Connectable. A permeable follower 2 bears against the jacket of the drum 1, which is a manchon in the embodiment shown. But the invention is on this particular embodiment is in no way limited. The idler 2 can also be endless and can be guided over deflection rollers.

With 3 the textile web is indicated, which is pressed against the follower 2 by means of another, permeable follower 4 designed as an endless pressure band. This results in a frictional entrainment of the drum 1 and thus the textile web 3. The contact pressure is generated by means of a gelable deflection roller 5. One of the deflection rollers, namely 6, is the drive roller for the idler 4.

Due to the pressure exerted by the follower 4, the material of the textile web 3 cannot swell, so that the moisture can penetrate into the core of the goods.

As a result of the ongoing evacuation of the drum 1, the textile web 3 and the two followers 2, 4 are subjected to a vacuum treatment in the wrapping area of the drum 1.

As the drawing makes clear, the drum 1 with the textile web 3 and the two followers 2, 4 immersed in one with the dampening liquid, for. B. water, filled container 7, in which a heating device 8 is arranged. The level in the receptacle 7 and the temperature of the heating device 8 are expediently controllable. The rotary movement of the drum 1 in the heated water bath results in a constant moistening of the two followers 2, 4 and thus inevitably also the textile web 3, the moistening of the follower 4 from the outside and that of the follower 2 from the inside of the drum 1 (wick system) .

The cocked follower 4 is with a hot, gaseous medium, for. B. steam or hot air. This is done via one or more steam boxes 9, which emit saturated steam or hot air, which is drawn into the drum 1 by the negative pressure through the two idlers 2, 4 and the textile web 3. The steam and the pressurized textile web 3 already produce good moisture contact, which is further strengthened in the further course by sucking in hot moisture. In this way, the textile web 3 becomes more hygroscopic.

The degree of moistening can be influenced via the amount of suction and the strength of the negative pressure, especially if one assumes that the throughput speed of the textile web 3 is constant.

The humidification device according to the invention can be easily combined with downstream processing machines. For example, the driven roller 10 ensures that the textile web to be moistened is fed to the moistening device without tension. A this roller 10 downstream dancer device 11 automatically controls the drive speed of the roller 10, so that always the same conditions and ultimately no goods train arises.

A dancer device 12 connected downstream of the moistening device takes over the synchronous control of the textile web 3 for the subsequent processing process.

It would be conceivable to apply chemicals which - dissolved in water - are associated with the goods. In this case, the treatment fleet would only be mixed with chemicals.
