Description

The invention relates to a device with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for connecting hot and cold water mixers.
Such a connection device for mixer taps is previously known from AT-PS 177 382. Here, a relatively simple and flat connector is provided, to which the mixer fitting can be attached with a flange connection. With this device, however, it is necessary that the connection piece is arranged precisely in the building wall, since subsequent adjustment is not provided when the mixer tap is being installed. In addition, it can happen that connections for cold and hot water are exchanged in the flush-mounted connector when installing the pipeline network. This is usually only determined when the mixer tap is to be connected. In order to correct the connections, it is then necessary to relocate the pipelines, which is extremely time-consuming, particularly when the pipelines are flush-mounted.

Furthermore, a sanitary fitting connection element is known from EP-PS 0 119 960, in which a mixer fitting with a plug part can be inserted into a bore in a connecting piece. The connector should consist of a housing in which a battery piece is arranged, which carries the receiving bore for the plug part. With this device, a subsequent correction in the case of interchanged connections and an adjustment of the mixer tap is possible, but it is relatively complicated and therefore complex to manufacture. In addition, a relatively deep connector is required due to the required mounting hole for the plug part.

The invention has for its object to improve the connecting device specified in the preamble of claim 1, in particular to create easy adaptability to different installation situations with simple means, and to propose an installation method.
This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1 and claim 10.
Further refinements of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 9.
Finally, it should be noted that it was known from DE-OS 32 39 924 to provide a front part for a synchronous shut-off and regulating valve for adapting the water flow during assembly.

  • a) daß zwischen der Mischarmatur und dem Anschlußstück ein Paßstück angeordnet ist, das durch Verdrehen um 180° die gewünschte Zuflußrichtung von Warm- und Kaltwasser zur jeweils nachgeschalteten Mischarma tur, entsprechend den funktionellen Forderungen, eingestellt werden kann und außerdem das Gehäuse der Mischbatterie auf dem Paßstück beliebig verdrehbar ist, wodurch eine Schräglage der Wassersteckdose bzw. des Anschlußstücks ausgleichbar ist;
  • b) daß sämtliche, die Funktion beeinflussenden Teile sich im Gehäuse der Mischarmatur befinden, wobei lediglich die Mindestfunktion der einfachen Wasserzuführung der Wassersteckdose bzw. dem Anschlußstück zugeordnet ist;
  • c) daß im Rohbauzustand sämtliche Funktionsteile der Mischarmatur zugeordnet bleiben und nicht mit der Wassersteckdose verbunden sind;
  • d) daß mittels kombiniertem Abdrück- und Spüldeckel ein für die Funktionsteile gefahrloses Spülen und Abdrücken jederzeit möglich ist;
  • e) daß aufgrund der Anordnung der Funktionsteile im Gehäuse der Mischarmatur eine äußerst geringe Bautiefe der Wassersteckdose bzw. des Anschlußstücks ermöglicht ist;
The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are, in particular,
  • a) that a fitting is arranged between the mixer tap and the connector, which by rotating through 180 ° the desired inflow direction of hot and Cold water for each downstream mixing arm, according to the functional requirements, can be adjusted and also the housing of the mixer tap on the adapter can be rotated as required, whereby an inclined position of the water socket or the connector can be compensated;
  • b) that all the parts influencing the function are located in the housing of the mixing valve, only the minimum function of the simple water supply being assigned to the water socket or the connecting piece;
  • c) that in the unfinished state all functional parts of the mixer tap remain assigned and are not connected to the water socket;
  • d) that by means of a combined push-off and flushing lid, safe flushing and pressing is possible at any time for the functional parts;
  • e) that, due to the arrangement of the functional parts in the housing of the mixer fitting, an extremely small installation depth of the water socket or the connecting piece is made possible;
  • f) that a high level of universality and cost-effective design is ensured with the specified water channels, since check valves, dirt traps, silencers etc. can only be assigned to the housing of the mixer tap as required.

The connection device shown in Figure 1 is arranged in a building wall 7 and is formed by a connection piece 1, a mixer fitting 2, a fitting piece 3 and a foam part 5.
The foam part 5 takes up the connector 1 in its pot-like cavity and is used for sound insulation from the building wall. The foam can For example, be applied directly to the back of the connector 1, so that a composite body is formed. The foam part 5 can also be connected to the connector 1, for example by gluing or in another suitable manner. The wall of the foam part protruding from the building wall can be cut to length depending on the individual installation depth at the construction site.
The connecting piece 1, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, is connected in a sealed manner to the bores 11 by means of pipes 10 for cold and hot water and is fixed to the building wall 7 by means of noise-isolating screws 13 before it is walled in. The holes 11 for cold and hot water are passed through the connector 1 and are each connected to a transversely arranged bore 12. The mixing valve 2 is connected to its housing 20 on the projecting end face. The housing 20 is approximately cylindrical and has an annular flange 27 on the upstream end face, with which the connection to the connection piece 1 can be established with the aid of four symmetrically arranged fastening screws 28. A cylindrical adapter 3 is rotatably arranged concentrically in the upstream end face of the housing 20. The upstream end face of the adapter 3, as shown in particular in FIG. 6, has two separate inlet channels 31a and 31b, which are approximately aligned with the bores 12 in the connector 1 and are arranged symmetrically to the central axis 21. The one inlet channel 31a is guided essentially coaxially through the adapter 3 and opens into a chamber 23 which is formed concentrically to the central axis and which is connected to a supply channel 22a in the housing 20. The inlet duct 31b is from the fitting 3 radially led out and opens into an annular channel 24 which is open to the fitting 3 in the housing 20 and which is connected to a side channel 25 in the housing 20 with a feed channel 22b. The feed channels 22a, 22b are connected to a mixing valve 8 arranged in the housing 20, the mixing valve 8 having an adjusting handle 81 which can be moved in two degrees of freedom, so that on the one hand the mixing ratio of hot and cold water and on the other hand the total outflow quantity of the mixed water can be determined.
The fitting 3 is provided on its end face with sealing rings for the connector 1 and on its outer surface with sealing rings for the housing 20, so that premature leakage of cold or hot water or premature mixing of cold and hot water is excluded. In addition, depressions 30 are provided on the upstream end face of the fitting 3 coaxially to the inlet channels 31a and 31b, in each of which an annular body 32 is arranged. Correspondingly concentric to the bores 12, depressions 30 are also provided in the connecting piece 1, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, so that in the connected position the fitting 3 is connected to the connecting piece 1 in a rotationally fixed manner. A protective screen 32 is fastened to the ring body 32 in the inner region, while sealing rings are assigned to each of the end faces. In addition to the protective screen 33, a check valve can also be expediently provided in the area of the ring body 32.
In the flow direction, behind the adapter 3, a silencer 4 is arranged in an enlarged bore in the feed channels 22a and 22b. The enlarged bore of the feed channel 22b is closed at the upstream end face with a plug 26, so that a safe, separate guidance of cold and hot water is guaranteed

The mixer tap can be connected in the following way:
The connector 1 is provided in the factory with a foam part 5 and a push-off and flushing cover 6, as shown in FIG. This factory-made connector 1 is connected to the pipes 10 on the construction site, as shown in FIG. 2, and fastened to the building wall. As soon as the pipeline has been installed, the tightness of the pipe system can be determined with the aid of a pressure test, since the bores 11 in the connector 1 are securely sealed by the pressure and flushing cover 6. As soon as the structural work has been completed or the mixing valve 2 is to be connected to the connector 1, the projecting, closed ends of the pipe socket 61 can be separated so that the cold and hot water pipes can now be flushed separately. To better collect the escaping rinsing water, hoses 62 can expediently be slipped over the open pipe socket 61, as is shown in particular in FIG.
After the rinsing process has been completed, the fastening screws 28 are loosened and the push-off and rinsing cover 6 removed. Now the mixer fitting 2 with its housing 20, with the adapter 3 and the associated seals can be placed on the connector 1 and secured with the fastening screws 28 in the inserted position.
If afterwards it is found, for example, that the connections of cold and hot water have been made the wrong way round, the adapter 3 can be connected with a position rotated by 180 ° to the connection piece 1 by loosening the fastening screws again, after which then a correct cold and hot water supply is given. The mixed water outlet of the mixing valve 2 is located below the mixing valve 8 and is not visible in the drawing, in particular FIG. 1. Due to the cylindrical design of the adapter 3, the housing 20 and with it the mixed water outlet can be fixed in any, preferably vertical, rotational position independently of the rotational position of the connector 1.
