Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an elongated marking element for roads made of a rollable base body made of rubber or flexible plastic for resting on a road surface, which has a marking device and in use rests on the road surface, the connection of the base body and road surface being non-slip but detachable and recoverable.
  • Road markings are used to mark lanes or lanes on road surfaces to enable traffic to find their way around easily. For example, temporary road markings can be found in the construction site area, e.g. to form diversions and the like. Preferred application. Road markings can also be used to mark lanes, parking lots, exits, etc. In the case of construction sites, repair work and the like, it is often necessary to temporarily divert traffic to a new lane to be marked. The marking to be used for this must stand out clearly from the actual, permanent road marking.
  • This marking element is designed as a tape and can be rolled up, the connection between the tape and the road surface is made, for example, by bolting, riveting, gluing or Weighting the tape with guide hats in order to achieve a good positional stability of the marking element. Because of these fastening measures, the laying or removal of marking elements of this type on the road surface is complex.
  • EP-A 0 387 523 discloses a traffic control device, in particular for marking lanes leading around motorway construction sites, workplaces or the like, which lies loosely on and off the ground flat, interconnected links, which have a warning color on their top.
  • a traffic control device in particular for marking lanes leading around motorway construction sites, workplaces or the like, which lies loosely on and off the ground flat, interconnected links, which have a warning color on their top.
  • recesses are provided on the underside thereof for receiving inserts made of flexible material.
  • the links of the link chain can have claw-like projections protruding from the underside for clawing into the support base.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a marking element according to the preamble of claim 1 that with good positional stability in use in a simple manner on the road surface and can be removed from it.
  • the base body is biased transversely to the longitudinal direction of the marking to effect a curvature extending over its entire length and concavely directed towards the road surface. This results in a certain wedging with the road surface when driving over the designed marking element, which together with a short-term suction effect leads to good positional stability. Because of The concave curvature of the underside of the marking element creates the additional advantage that the marking element already has a certain lateral stability when it is laid, and thus the curved line can be laid in a simple manner (also by machine). The high specific weight of the base body makes it easier to lay the marking element and increases the frictional resistance between the base body and the road surface.
  • a marking film which can be colored, reflecting, fluorescent, etc., is expediently provided as the marking device, the marking film and base body being firmly connected via a connecting means.
  • a permanently elastic adhesive is expediently to be provided as the connecting means.
  • Such an adhesive has the advantage that the adhesive itself is accessible to a certain elasticity.
  • Another possibility in the connection of the base body and the marking film is to carry out a welding or vulcanization of the base body and the marking film.
  • the embodiment according to claim 3, which is characterized in that the marking film has several cuts, has the advantage that differences in elongation between the base body and the marking film can be compensated.
  • a marking layer applied or sprayed on in liquid form can be provided as the marking device.
  • the base body itself can also contain a colored, reflective, luminous or fluorescent additive and / or have integral unevenness on its upper side which acts as a marking device. This ensures that the base body itself acts as a marking device.
  • An additional marking film can be dispensed with in this embodiment.
  • the embodiment according to claim 4 is characterized in that a roll-up band is provided as the base body.
  • a tape has the advantage that it is easy to roll up on the one hand, and on the other hand with such a base body formed from a tape, any marking radius occurring in road traffic can be generated by lateral curvature of the tape itself.
  • a further embodiment of the marking element according to the invention is characterized in that the rubber or plastic tape consists of a roll-up combination of individual link pieces, which are preferably coupled to one another by a steel wire or the like.
  • the individual link pieces are expediently rounded off on their opposite side regions, as a result of which radii of curvature of the marking section consisting of the individual link pieces can be generated in a simple manner.
  • the rubber band is preferably made of neoprene, the flexible plastic band of an elastomer.
  • additional suction devices can be provided on the side of the base body facing the road surface which, when the marking element is loaded, have a holding effect due to a suction effect analogous to that of a suction cup.
  • pores and / or at least one larger recess can be provided as a suction device towards the road surface, which cause displacement of the air when loaded and a negative pressure is created when the elastic base body contracts after loading.
  • marking element according to the invention can be on the underside the tape or the individual link pieces with a double-sided adhesive tape. This is particularly advantageous in the case of very long-term construction sites with a long-lasting permanent load on the marking element. It is advisable to use a subsequently peelable adhesive tape as the adhesive tape.
  • claims 9 and 10 have the advantage that a certain material-specific remanence, i. H. the effort of the material to return to the reeling position shortly after the unwinding process is avoided, while at the same time maintaining the flexibility of the elastic base body. Otherwise the inserts act as reinforcement.
  • flexible reflectors and / or visual signals for example rubber flags, can also be provided on the side facing away from the lower surface, which are either attached directly to the base body or else on the marking film.
  • An additional marking effect can be achieved in this way. Due to their flexibility, these additional reflectors and / or visual signals can be left on the marking element during rolling up.
  • a further embodiment of the marking element according to the invention is characterized in that they have side edges of the band or of the individual link pieces which taper towards the top. This has the advantage that when passing over the marking element a parallel to Contact surface of the base body and lower surface, disturbing force component is avoided.
  • the length of the marking elements is in a range of 1.0 m - 50.0 m, preferably 1.0 m - 20.0 m.
  • the thickness of the base body is expediently in a range from 3 mm to 70 mm, preferably 10 mm to 12 mm.
  • Such a design of the base body ensures sufficient lateral flexibility for the implementation of continuously curved markings.
  • they expediently have a coupling part at each end of the marking element which can be designed in the form of a Velcro fastener which ensures a connection with the subsequent marking element, or a specially shaped plastic part is provided as the coupling part, which is provided in a complementary manner molded plastic part engages on the adjacent marking element.
  • Subclaims 14 relate to independently claimed road marking using at least one marking element according to the invention.
  • Reference numeral 1 in Fig. 1 denotes a marking element.
  • the marking element comprises a base body designed as a rollable tape 2, which is on a road surface 4 shown in FIG. 2 lies on.
  • the tape 2 carries a marking film 3 on its upper side, which is firmly connected to the tape 2.
  • the connection of tape 2 and marking film 3 is ensured by a permanently elastic adhesive, not shown.
  • Rubber for example neoprene, is used for the band 2.
  • the specific weight of the rubber to be used should be high so that the marking element 1 cannot be moved or slipped.
  • the thickness of the band 2 or rubber band is preferably in a range from 10 mm to 12 mm. In this area, both good rollability and sufficient transverse flexibility of the marking element are guaranteed.
  • the rubber band is pretensioned transversely to its longitudinal direction, as outlined in FIG. 2 by the dashed tension line 12.
  • the side edges of the rubber band are tapered towards the top of the marking element 1, so that a force acting parallel to the lower surface 4 is kept as small as possible when the marking element 1 is passed over. This also improves the positional stability of the marking element.
  • the marking element 1 has a Velcro surface 7, 7 'at each of its two end regions.
  • the Velcro surface 7 is on one Marking film-free surface area of the rubber band arranged, the second Velcro surface 7 'is located on the underside of a marking film area protruding beyond the end of the rubber band.
  • FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of the marking element according to the invention, in which a specially shaped plastic part 8 is provided instead of a Velcro surface.
  • the plastic part 8 is firmly connected to the rubber band and has a circular recess 13. The recess is delimited by the projections 14 directed somewhat towards the center line of the marking element.
  • the plastic parts 8, 9 can consist of a plastic with a high specific weight, but these plastic parts can also be weighted in an equivalent manner.
  • a plastic part the use of a metal part is also conceivable.
  • the complementary plastic part 9 has a dome-shaped shape, in which two are pointing in the longitudinal direction Recesses 11 are formed. Additional reflectors 10 are arranged on the inner side surface of the recess 11.
  • the length of the marking elements to be used is in a range of 1.0 m - 50.0 m, preferably 1.0 m - 20.0 m.
  • the width of the marking area, i.e. H. the marking film 3 arranged on the rubber band corresponds to the standard sizes known from the road traffic regulations.
  • the base body 2 here consists of a plurality of link pieces 15 which are connected to one another by a steel wire 16.
  • the links 15 are rounded on their opposite side surfaces, so that any radii of curvature can be achieved in a simple manner by laying the individual links 15. Otherwise, the same measures can be used to establish the connection of the individual links 15 to the top of the roadway or to achieve a marking effect as are used in a continuous base body.
  • the marking elements according to the invention are laid by simply rolling out the elements along a pre-marking, with several marking elements being connected to one another over a longer distance.
  • the marking elements can also be rolled out mechanically with the aid of a suitable device.
  • the marking element according to the invention is particularly distinguished by an enormous positional stability - even when driving over such marking elements. Due to the low thickness of the rubber band and the flexibility of the rubber-like material, any radii of curvature occurring in road markings can be performed by the marking element itself. Another advantage is that the marking element according to the invention can also be applied when the road is wet. In the event of wear or wear on the marking film, the rubber band serving as the base body can be coated again. Last but not least, the invention also contributes to environmental protection, since the marking element is reusable, whereas previously known marking foils, marking buttons or the like can often be subsumed under the term "hazardous waste".
  • the invention offers a significant enrichment of the prior art compared to the previously known marking elements.
