Definitions

  • the invention relates to a brush head for deburring and brushing machines, with a base plate connected in a torque-locking manner to a driven shaft, in which a plurality of finger-like brushes are interchangeably held parallel to the axis of rotation, and with a guide plate connected parallel to the base plate and adjustable relative to it in the axial direction, through which the brushes are passed.
  • Such a brush head operated in operation at a high speed of 1,500 rpm, for example, is known from DE-U 78 07 217.
  • the finger-like brushes which consist for example of wire bristles, grinding nylon or other materials, are held on a base plate attached to this shaft, parallel to the axis of a drive shaft of the machine. These brushes protrude through a guide plate.
  • the two plates are adjustable relative to one another in the axial direction of the working shaft.
  • the guide plate prevents the individual bristles or the like from escaping during the rotation of the brush head rotating at high speed.
  • the free bristle length can be changed by moving the base plate, if, for example, a "soft brushing effect" is desired.
  • a brush head for a deburring or brushing machine in which several brush-like brushes rotatably mounted on a base body of a gear housing are each individually driven at high speed.
  • the main body of the gear housing executes a slow rotary movement during this rotation of the brushes driven at high speed.
  • Such a brush head should preferably be used for deburring recessed workpiece contours. Since the brush-like brushes are not supported laterally, the individual bristles spread outward due to the centrifugal forces that occur, so that the bristle tips only partially strike the surface to be deburred.
  • a brush head of this type is therefore unsuitable for deburring larger surfaces and surface edges. The deburring result must inevitably be uneven and inadequate.
  • CH-A-652 065 describes a brush head with at least two brushes, the construction of which, however, is contained in this Document is not disclosed.
  • Each brush can be driven via a planetary gear on the one hand for its own rotation around a working shaft and on the other hand for a planetary movement on a circular path around a drive shaft.
  • Each brush of this known brush head consequently carries out two rotary movements, namely firstly a self-rotation and secondly a planetary revolution.
  • this measure is intended to help ensure a more complete machining of a workpiece, that is to say an enlargement of the area which can be reached with the brushes.
  • the brushes should also be worn more evenly. This obviously cannot prevent the individual bristles from bending out.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a brush head based on the described prior art, in which both a uniform wear of the brush bristles is guaranteed, as well as bending of the bristles are prevented, so that consistently good machining results can be achieved.
  • the brush head according to the invention is thus characterized by a total of three superimposed rotary movements.
  • the additional, third rotary movement of the brushes according to the invention is not a cutting movement. The actual cutting speed is achieved by the rotary movement of the brush head.
  • the brush head is characterized in that a preferably even number of brushes is held in the base plate concentrically evenly distributed on a common pitch circle, with a small distance from one another, which brushes are rotatably connected to one another, with at least one of them Brushing is driven.
  • the drive of a brush can take place indirectly via the drive shaft of the machine, wherein a gearwheel can be placed on the drive shaft in a torque-locking manner, which is in a torque-transmitting connection with a countershaft of the driven brush.
  • the even order of Brushing prevents opposing movements of adjacent brushes, so that the bristles of adjacent brushes cannot interlock with each other.
  • an eccentric housing 3 is rotatably placed on the housing socket 11 surrounding the drive shaft 2.
  • the brush head 4 is supported with a working shaft 43 in this eccentric housing 3.
  • a gear 7 is fixed in rotation, which engages with a first ring gear 71 in a gear 8 on the working shaft 43.
  • the brush head 4 is placed on the outer end of the working shaft 43. It consists of a base plate 41, on which a preferably even number of finger-like brushes 5 is arranged coaxially to the working shaft 43, uniformly distributed concentrically on a common pitch circle, at a short distance from one another. Parallel to the base plate 41, a guide plate 42 is provided on the working shaft 43, through which the brushes 5 are guided and with a adjustable free length protrude outwards.
  • the base plate 41 is slidable in the axial direction of the working shaft 43 on a pin 422 of the guide plate 42.
  • a support plate 10 is slidably arranged, which prevents that during operation due to the centrifugal forces, the bristles 51 of the brushes 5 bulge outwards, which means that there is a risk that they will pull out of the bores 421.
  • Each of the finger-like brushes 5 has a sleeve-shaped end part 52 with which it is detachably attached to a rotationally symmetrical holding part 53 seated in the base plate 41 by being plugged on.
  • These holding parts 53 are in turn rotatably supported in the base plate 41 about the longitudinal axis of the brush 5.
  • they each have a ring gear 531 on the outside, with which they are in a rotational driving connection with one another.
  • a drive pinion acts on at least one of the sprockets 531 of one of the holding parts 53.
  • This drive pinion is slidably placed in the axial direction on the corresponding guide section 62 of a countershaft 6 for driving the entirety of the brushes 5.
  • This countershaft 6 is mounted on the one hand in the guide plate 42 and on the other hand on a bearing plate 44 which is held parallel to the base plate 41 at the end of the pin 422.
  • a bearing shaft section 61 of the countershaft 6 projects through this bearing plate 44.
  • a toothed wheel 63 is placed on this section and is connected via an intermediate wheel 64 to a second ring gear 72 of the toothed wheel 7 on the drive shaft 2, the second ring gear 72 being one different diameter compared to the first ring gear 71.
  • the rotational movement of the brush head 4 about the axis of the working shaft 43 and the drive of the individual brushes 5 about their own axis are achieved in this way via the drive shaft 2.
  • the brush head 4 is at a speed of e.g. 1,500 rpm driven, the individual brushes 5 being driven at a very low speed of a few revolutions per minute.
  • the ratio of the speed of the driven brushes 5 to the speed of the brush head 4 should be a maximum of about 1:50.
  • the base plate of the brush head 4 simultaneously executes a planetary movement while rotating about its own axis, the eccentric housing 3 being driven.
  • gears shown by way of example other transmission means are possible, for example envelope drives.
