Description

L'invention concerne un radiateur pour chauffage central selon le préambule de la revendication 1.The invention relates to a central heating radiator according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a radiator is known according to FR-A-2 475 708, in which there is described a heat exchanger comprising flat tubes arranged parallel to each other and connected to inlet and outlet manifolds, where for the connection of the tubes flat to the collectors, the latter have holes surrounded by a wall area which is stamped outwards, in order to be able to weld a flat side of the tubes to the collectors. The open ends of each tube are folded inwards and closed with a welded joint. This exchanger therefore has the disadvantage that several operations are necessary for its assembly and that it is very difficult to position the flat tubes relative to the holes.

From GB-A-2 082 312 there is also known a radiator where the ends of the parallel pipes are mounted in holes previously punched in a U-shaped metal strip and are brazed to this strip. For the formation of a manifold at both ends of the pipes, a U-shaped profile is placed in each U-shaped metal strip and the profile is welded by an outside corner weld on the metal strip.

An important drawback of this radiator is that the visible corner welds are badly finished and that the corner welds can only be smoothed quickly and automatically and made properly smooth only with difficulty. Another disadvantage is that thus making corner welds by means of an automatic device is difficult to perform.

To remedy all these drawbacks, a radiator has been produced according to the invention, the characteristics of which are defined in claim 1.

This radiator has not only the advantage that the welds by which the parallel pipes are welded to the inner side of the collectors are hidden from view and do not require further shaping, but that at the same time the two U-shaped profiles collectors are welded to each other by a flat weld which can be easily leveled and made smooth. Another advantage is that the mounting of the radiator is very simple and requires few operations.

  • la fig. 1 représente une coupe horizontale d'une extrémité du radiateur;
By way of example below follows a detailed description of a chosen but not limited form of the radiator according to the invention. This description refers to the attached drawing, in which:
  • fig. 1 shows a horizontal section of one end of the radiator;
  • fig. 2 shows a vertical section along line II-II of FIG. 1.

In these figures, we note that each end of the parallel pipes 1 of the radiator fits into one of the holes 2 which are arranged one below the other in a first U-shaped profile 3 closed at the top and bottom and making part of a manifold 4 to be formed along the two ends of the pipes. Along the inside of the U-shaped profile 3 of each manifold 4, the ends of the pipes 1 are welded by means of a weld 5 to the U-shaped profile 3, so that the weld is hidden from view and that no other shaping is not necessary. To then close each manifold 4, use is made of a second U-shaped profile 6 closed at the top and bottom and provided with sleeves 7 with threads, only one of which is visible in the drawing and which are used for connecting the supply lines. and evacuation of the central heating installation. The end of each leg of this second U-shaped profile 6 is bent inwards in the shape of a Z, as a result of which a groove 8 is formed with a stop 9, which extends in a slope towards the end of the aforementioned leg. Over each end and in the groove 8 of each leg, the end of one of the legs of the first U-shaped section 3 is pushed. The depth of each groove 8 is equal to the thickness of the legs of the first U-shaped section 3, so that the outer surfaces of the legs of the two U-shaped sections 3 and 6 are in the same plane. By virtue of the sloping stop 9 of each groove 8, there remains an open space between the stop 9 and the leg of the first U-shaped section 3 introduced into the groove 8, which open space is then welded by means of a weld flat 10 over the entire length of the manifold. The flat weld can then be smoothed out without problems in a simple manner by means of an automatic device.
