Die Programme heutiger Waschmaschinen entsprechen nicht den in jüngster Zeit gestiegenen Anforderungen an eine Minimierung des Verbrauches von Energie, Wasser und Waschmittel. Die Zusatzeinrichtung kann zum Beispiel durch Steuerung von Magnetventilen des Mischers aufgrund von Temperatursignalen eines zusätzlichen Temperatursensors dafür sorgen, daß der Waschmaschine für ihr gewünschtes Waschprogramm Wasser mit der richtigen Temperatur zugeführt wird, so daß die elektrische Heizung der Waschmaschine nicht arbeiten muß. Nur wenn die Wassertemperatur am Warmwasseranschluß nicht ausreicht, schaltet sich die Heizung der Waschmaschine automatisch ein.
