Description

The invention relates to a metal plate panel referred to in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a metal plate panel is known from DE-OS 34 42 189. It is used for the facade cladding of walls consisting of mullion / transom constructions, whereby connecting profiles with connecting strips are provided which engage with a profile edge behind the bent-back metal plate edge. The type of attachment must take into account the resilience of the metal plate edge and the cover plate, which is generally weaker than the front metal plate, so that there are corresponding limitations for the expansion of the metal plate panels. Furthermore, the effort to adapt to the substructure by drilling and sealing is considerable. The open gap between the metal plate and the cover plate must be covered at the same time by a correspondingly profiled connecting strip in order to prevent the ingress of condensation or contamination into the sandwich honeycomb structure.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to further develop the known metal plate panel in such a way that it can be used universally with little effort in facade cladding, provided that the fastening can largely be carried out on the inside, optionally without scaffolding. The edge areas of the metal plate panels should have a sufficient load-bearing capacity and allow the trouble-free removal of condensate and rainwater. Incidentally, improvements should not only exist in the assembly and use, but also in the manufacture of the metal plate panels.

The problem is solved by the invention as characterized in the claims.

While in the known embodiment of the metal plate panel the rear cover plate does not protrude beyond the sandwich honeycomb structure and is supported by the latter, the invention allows the cover plate to be extended beyond the sandwich honeycomb structure thanks to the support of this cover plate with the aid of the newly added edge profile. This considerably increases the load-bearing capacity on the inside of the metal plate panel. A further increase in the load capacity occurs in that the outer leg of the edge profile is glued to the metal plate edge and is angled with the latter. Overall, the cross-sectional shape of this edge profile goes beyond a merely U-shaped bend in that the outer leg is directed inwards again. This means that there are no open edges on the outside, so that the facade is not exposed to an increased risk of contamination even in its edge areas, but can be easily cleaned accordingly. With regard to the outer leg of the edge profile, elastic sealing means are also used. The inside of the connection strip can lie flat or selectively on the inner leg of the edge profile. With an appropriately cranked configuration, the terminal block can also engage with a rear section from the outside on the sheet reinforced by the inner leg of the edge profile. The high dimensional accuracy of the edge profile allows the preliminary construction of connecting profiles, window locks or the like. With connection strips in such a way that the adaptation and sealing work otherwise necessary during assembly is largely eliminated. The proposal to make the web of the edge profile the same height as the sandwich honeycomb structure includes a slight drop below this dimension for the coating with adhesive, in order not to squeeze the latter out when pressed together.

The stabilization of the metal plate panel is significantly improved by its all-round design with the new edge profile. The latter can be mitred without difficulty, so that a tight seal is also guaranteed in the corner area.

A particularly high degree of solidification on the one hand and of adaptability of various connection strips is achieved in that the outer leg of the edge profile is angled in a U-shape following the U-shape of the metal plate edge.

A further increase in the solidification and improvement of the adaptation to different connecting strips is formed by a protrusion protruding inwards from the outer leg in the middle of the edge profile and which is grooved in the longitudinal direction to accommodate an elastic sealing strip.

The new edge profile is expediently introduced during the manufacture of the metal plate panel. Since adhesive is used between the adjacent surfaces of the edge profile and the cover plate or the metal plate, a corresponding bending of the leg ends of the edge profile can prevent adhesive from escaping out of the joints when pressed together. In particular, the inner leg of the edge profile is angled in the direction of the cover sheet glued to it, so that approximately the same height is obtained with the cover sheet, but the cover sheet is somewhat set back. In this way it can be achieved that a small groove remains free, into which excess adhesive can escape.

The accessibility of the edge profile from the inside is promoted by the fact that the inner leg of the edge profile is shorter than the outer leg, resulting in corresponding length sections for the metal plate and for the cover plate. In particular, when the edge profile is designed with the elevation described, the trailing edge of the inner leg of the edge profile is reset in such a way that the elevation with its seal is also accessible from the inside.

On the other hand, it is also possible to insert a terminal block into the edge profile from the front. In this case, it is expedient if the edge of the inner leg is approximately flush with the outer web surface of the metal plate edge which is bent back in a U-shape. Since the web width is always smaller than the distance between the metal plate and the cover plate in the bent-back metal plate edge, there is a space for the front insertion of a connecting strip including a sealing lip. The edge of the inner leg and the edge profile can, if the metal plate panel is to be supported from below, stand up on an inwardly projecting nose of the terminal block.

If the metal plate panel is attached to the upper edge, the connection of the lower metal plate edge to the terminal block can be kept displaceable. The inner surface of the inner leg of the edge profile is expediently designed as a sliding surface of a corresponding nose of the terminal strip, which offers scope for thermal changes in length parallel to the plane of the panel.

With the metal plate edge facing upwards, the edge profile enables the formation of a drainage channel to drain off condensation. If a window pane lower bolt is to be connected by means of the connecting strip, this can drain with appropriate trough-shaped design with outlet openings directed into the interior of the edge profile.

Eine weitere Fixierung erlaubt der innere Schenkel für den unteren Abschnitt der Anschlußleiste, indem er für die Aufnahme von Verbindungsmitteln entsprechend ausgebildet ist Zur großflächigen Abstützung greift dann der untere Abschnitt der Anschlußleiste am weiteren Deckblech anliegend an.The terminal strip engages in the case of an upwardly directed metal plate edge with an oppositely U-shaped upper end in the U-shaped angled edge of the outer leg of the edge profile with the inclusion of a seal, so that there is a first fixation at this point. The inner leg for the lower section of the connection strip allows a further fixation by being appropriately designed for receiving connecting means. For large-area support, the lower section of the connection strip then engages against the further cover plate.

In order to ensure that the drainage of the condensate from the drainage channel formed by the edge profile is actually taken up, a window pane lower lock formed with the connection strip can be provided below the outlet openings with a drip edge directed into the interior of the edge profile, which must however be somewhat higher than the angled one Section of the inner leg of the edge profile. The trough of the window pane lower bar supports one or two glass panes by means of a hollow spacer bar on a support, so that the trough remains free for the absorption of the condensed water. In the trough, short pieces of a channel-shaped U-profile are expediently longitudinally displaceable up to one corner of the post and are held with their upper leg edges by guides in the trough walls.

Fig. 1 shows the detail of a post 40, with one of several brackets 41. The latter are connected to a locking profile 20 which carries the terminal block 19 on the front. This terminal block 19 is connected in a T-shape and inserted with its edges into a lower and an upper metal plate edge each of a metal plate panel 7.

For the sake of simplicity, only the upper metal plate panel 7 or its lower edge is referred to below. The edge of the lower metal plate panel 7 is formed in the same way.

The metal plate panel consists of a metal plate 1, the sandwich honeycomb structure 3 and the cover plate 2, which is provided on the inside. The connection between the metal plate or the cover plate and the sandwich honeycomb structure is produced by an adhesive which is applied to the inner sides 42, 43 (FIG. 3) of the metal plate or the cover plate.

The edge profile 10 is integrated into the edge of the metal plate panel. The edge zone 6 of the cover plate 2 protrudes beyond the honeycomb structure 3 and is glued with its inward side 8 to the outer surface 9 'of the inner leg 9 of the edge profile. The latter has a web 11 the width of the sandwich honeycomb structure 3 and an outer leg 12. This is glued with its outer surface 12 'onto the inner side 1' "of the metal plate edge 1 '. It follows the angled edge 1" of the metal plate edge 1' with a angled edge 12 ". In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the edge of the latter rests against the inwardly angled U-leg of the metal plate edge 1 '. This alone results in a notable improvement in the load-bearing capacity of the angled metal plate edge. However, the edge 12" can also be angled again so that there is a U-shaped cross section, which then corresponds to the inner dimension of the U-shaped angled metal plate edge. The last-mentioned embodiment is shown in FIG. 3. The width of the angled edge is in each case correspondingly smaller than the metal plate thickness, so that the contact with the edge 1 "is ensured.

The terminal block 19 is on the outside with a metal or plastic layer 44 which on the one hand gives it protection and on the other hand contributes to the sealing. The elastic sealing means 14 'not only hold the terminal block 19 in a sealed manner on the metal plate edge which is bent back in a U-shape, but at the same time press it against the inner leg 9 of the edge profile. An inwardly directed nose of the terminal block 19 allows a metal plate panel 7 located above it to be supported, so that it can be worn without additional fastening means. Such a support does not apply to the lower metal plate panel, which due to the elastic seal and the depth of the round profile allows a certain possibility of displacement, which serves to compensate for thermal changes in length.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, there is an attachment option provided for the two metal plate panels 7 which is provided elsewhere and is not shown in the drawing. The butt joint of both metal plate panels 7 is bridged by a terminal block 19. The butt joint of the two metal plate panels, as shown in FIG. 2, runs in the vertical direction and therefore perpendicular to that as shown in the other pictorial representations. The butt joint is expediently chosen to have the same width as the profile 10, so that the precipitation can run downward in the butt joint.

In the modified embodiment according to FIG. 3, a locking profile 20 is connected to a lower metal plate edge 1 '. The associated, upper metal plate panel 7 has a fastening at a location that is not shown in the drawing, so that the connecting profile or its connecting strip 19, in particular, has a holding and sealing function. Thus, the lower section 19 'of the terminal block is at a distance from the U-leg 1 "" of the metal plate edge 1', which allows ventilation of the inner structure via the outlet openings 22, the latter also serving to drain condensed water. In addition, the terminal block is provided at the top with a nose 19 ", which is displaceable on the inner surface 9" of the inner leg 9 of the edge profile 10, so that thermal changes in length can be compensated. The elastic seal 14 presses the nose 19 "against the mentioned inner surface 9". Instead of this, an additional elastic sealing strip can also be introduced into a groove (not shown).

In contrast to the design of the edge profile from FIGS. 1 and 2, the edge profile according to FIG. 3 has an inwardly protruding elevation 13 approximately in the middle of its outer leg 12, which has a groove with the elastic sealing strip 14 accommodated therein. In order to be able to insert the edge profile 10 with certainty into the panel, the distance 16 is smaller than the free leg 1 "". In this respect, accessibility from the rear is ensured by the fact that the angled section 17 of the edge profile 10 and thus also the final edge 18 of the cover plate 2 have a distance from the final edge of the free leg 1 "" which includes the elevation 13. The assembly is thereby considerably simplified, because after a first pressing of the edge profile to the terminal block, all that is required is a slight vertical displacement, which expediently extends so far that the lower section 19 'of the terminal block 19 ends at the same height as the angled one Edge 1 "of the metal plate edge 1 '.

As mentioned, the metal plate panel in the case of a support on the underside of a connecting bar 19 still requires additional fastening at a higher point. This is illustrated, for example, in FIG. 4. This is the fastening of the metal plate panel 7 by means of its upper metal plate edge 1 'or the edge profile 10 used to a cranked connecting strip 19, which in this case is part of a trough-shaped window pane lower bolt 21. However, it can also be the terminal block of a connecting profile 20.

The terminal block 19 is provided in this case with an upper edge which is angled in a U-shaped manner with respect to the U-shaped edge 12 "of the edge profile 10, in such a way that the two U-profiles interlock, with one more Seal 23 is included in the U-shaped end 24 of the terminal block 19. This seal can be extended to the building side with the inclusion of a corresponding groove of the end 24, so that the seal can also seal a subsequent glass pane 31.

The aforementioned groove track is also very useful if, contrary to the intended fastening from the inside, it is exceptionally to be installed from the outside. For this reason, the length of the free leg 1 "" is chosen to be smaller than the distance dimension 27 to be described. It is thus possible to assemble it by initially moving it sideways and then moving it vertically.

The terminal block 19 is cranked and has a lower section 19 ', which rests on the cover plate 2 from the outside. The edge profile 10 is designed in this support area so that connecting means 25, for example screws, can be provided which allow the lower section 19 'to be fixed. Thus, the metal plate panel is fixed on the one hand by the upper end 24 and on the other hand by the lower section 19 'of the terminal block 19. The lower section 19 'lies flat over the edge profile 10 on the cover plate, so that there is effective support against occurring moments, without excessive surface pressure being able to occur.

In this case, survey 13 has no meaning. Meanwhile, the terminal block 19 is expediently provided with a drip edge 34, which is directed into the interior of the edge profile 10 and ends at a distance 27 above the angled portion 17 of the inner leg 9, which allows assembly by subsequent screwing of glass panes. Along this drip edge, the condensate coming out of the outlet opening 22 can be drained downward in order to get into the drainage channel formed between the legs 9 and 12 and above the web 11. The latter can then collect the escaping condensate and discharge it to another location. To ensure the drainage, the trough 28 of the window pane lower latch 21 needs to be kept free. For this purpose, a hollow spacer bar 29 is inserted into the trough 28, which supports the glass panes 31 and 32 via plastic blocks 30. In order to ensure support by the transoms up to the post corners, short pieces of a channel-shaped U-profile 39 are inserted into the trough 28, which can each be displaced in the longitudinal direction into a post corner, their upper leg edges being guided by the guides 37 and 38 the trough walls are held.

In order to be able to form the metal plate panels all around in the sense of the invention, that is to say with the inclusion of an inner edge profile 10, the edge profile 10 is mitred. Since the edge profiles for the connection of perpendicular metal plate edges in the sense of FIG. 2 are simpler than the edge profiles in the embodiment according to FIG. 4, this difference can be taken into account by a corresponding miter cut. Accordingly, when connecting a vertical connecting joint to the horizontally running edge according to FIG. 4, a miter cut to be made at 45 ° would only comprise the lower region between the elevation 13 and the angled section 17. In order to ensure a sealed miter joint, it is essential that the lower region of the edge profile according to FIG. 4, which is located between the legs 9 and 12, has the same cross-section as the edge profile 10 in FIG. 2, which in the vertical edges of the metal plate panels is provided.

The arrangement of the metal plate panel in the manner described also relieves the static structure in the area of the console latches, which adjoin the connecting profile or the window pane latches.
