Mit einer solchen Staubsaugerdüse wird nicht nur der Boden des Raumes zwischen einander berührenden Polsterflächen abgesaugt, sonderen es werden auch diese Flächen selbst gereinigt. Durch die stirnseitige Saugöffnung wirkt ein Axialstrom und durch den axial verlaufenden Saugschlitz an der Flachseite des Düsenrohres wirkt ein Querstrom. Mit dem in einen Spalt zwischen Polstern eingeführten Düsenrohr werden daher sowohl der Boden des Zwischenraumes als auch eine Seitenfläche eines Polsters bestrichen und durch die einander ergänzenden Saugströme problemlos gereinigt. Durch eine 180°-Drehung um die Achse des Düsenrohres wird dann der Saugschlitz gegen die Seitenfläche des zweiten Polsters gerichtet und diese abgesaugt. Beim Reinigen einer größeren Fläche wird mit der den Saugschlitz aufweisenden Flachseite des Düsenrohres über die Fläche gestrichen und diese durch den Querstrom abgesaugt.
