- Such vehicles are known from the technical communications Krupp, research reports, volume 34 (1976), issue 3; see in particular section 3, pages 142, 143. They have a low center of gravity and floor height as well as good running properties. The latter express themselves in higher sheet speed without loss of stability and derailment security even when driving on very narrow bends and in low noise. The expenses are relatively low, so that the weight and costs of the vehicle and chassis can be reduced.
- the invention has for its object to provide a wheel set of the type mentioned while maintaining the aforementioned advantages so that the feed forces between the flange and rail and thus the flange and rail wear can be reduced with much simpler means as in the prior art.
