Das aus den Teilen 21,22 bestehende Ventil sorgt bei Nichtgebrauch der Schreibvorrichtung dafür, daß ein Ausfließen der unter dem Druck des Treibgases stehenden Schreibflüssigkeit zuverlässig verhindert ist. Beim Aufsetzen der Schreibvorrichtung auf die Zeichenfläche wird das Ventil problemlos geöffnet. Beim Abheben der Schreibvorrichtung von der Zeichenfläche schließt sich das Ventil sofort unter der Wirkung des Treibgasdruckes und der Druckfeder 9.
