Abstract

The invention provides a device for housing steel reinforcement in areas where joints are made between first and subsequently poured concrete structures such that connecting portions of the steel reinforcements are isolated during pouring of the first concrete and are thereafter bent out for connecting the subsequently poured concrete structure. The device comprises a housing having an open box, a cover therefore, and anchoring strips disposed in the transverse direction of the box at intervals along its length and at the bottom thereof. The anchoring strips having transverse slots in the upper portion thereof to receive and support the connecting portions of the steel reinforcements. The cover is capable of being locked to the box and capable of passing the anchoring portions therethrough.

Im übrigen kann sich die Gestaltung des Deckels auch nach der Form der Verankerungsbereiche richten, die nicht die zuvor erläuterte U-Form aufweisen müssen, sondern jede beliebige, zur Verankerung geeignete Biegeform aufweisen können und auch nicht bügelförmig in Verbindung stehen müssen.The lid also allows various modifications. Claims (10)

1. Device for housing steel reinforcements for joined areas of concrete structures, having the shape of an elongated, essentially strip shaped body for housing of connecting portions (24) of the steel reinforcements (12, 14, 16, 18, 20), the anchoring portions (22) of which projecting out of broad longitudinal surface of the body, characterized in that the body comprises a box (26) being open at one broad longitudinal side, anchoring strips (34) being disposed in transverse direction of the box at intervalls along its length at the bottom (28) thereof, said anchoring strips having transverse slots (36,38) in the upper portion thereof to receive and support the connecting portions (24) of the steel reinforcements, a cover (40) provided to close said box (26), the anchoring portions (22) passing therethrough.
2. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said cover (40) is divided into individual cover elements along the center lines of the anchoring strips (34).
3. Device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said cover (40) is hingedly attached to a longitudinal edge of the box (26).
4. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the slots provided at outer opposite ends of the anchoring strips (34) are blind slots (38) which enter from one side of the strips, and that the slots lying between the outer blind slots are essentially in an X-shape in horizontal cross section of the strips.
5. Device as claimed in one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the cover elements (40) have semicircular apertures in the edges thereof which adjoin each other so that when the . semicircular apertures are combined they form circular apertures (42,44) to receive and pass the anchoring portions (22).
6. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cover (40) and the anchoring strips (34) have locking pins (46, 48) and locking bores (50, 52), respectively, on the surfaces facing each other.
7. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the slots (36, 38) are undercut for holding the anchoring portions (22) of the steel reinforcements.
8. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the slots (36, 38) are proportioned so that they can receive the connecting portions of two steel reinforcements lying one on top of the other.
9. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the anchoring strips (34) are constructed as substantially solid pieces of plastic or the like being provided with said slots (36, 38), and that between the slots (36) for receiving the connecting portions (22), there are provided narrow separating slots (58, 60) in the transverse direction of the anchoring strips.
10. Device as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the anchoring strips (34) are made of wire, spring steel or the like which is bent to conform with the contours of the slots (36,38).
