Description
The invention relates to a device for collecting and discharging exhaust gases generated during charging or pouring of metallurgical vessels in a steel mill, the material to be charged or poured being brought into or out of the operating position with a container that can be moved by means of a crane.
When steel is produced, there is a lot of smoke at various points in the steelworks, e.g. when emptying pig iron from a Torpedo mixer in pans, when pouring pig iron into the pig iron mixer and when loading pans from the pig iron mixer. Furthermore, creating a strong Rauchentwicklun g at the Chargiervorgängen of scrap and pig iron in the converter. In these charging, emptying and pouring operations, the containers containing the molten material hang from a crane by means of a crane hanger, and it is difficult to provide effective suction devices at the various places where the smoke development takes place. The dust removal problems when charging and tapping metallurgical vessels, in particular a pig iron mixer or an electric furnace, have not been satisfactorily solved. With the method that has been used recently the D achabsaugung be disposed above the suction smoke developing units, at the highest points in the roof of the steelworks hall. Through this, not only the smoke is extracted, but also the hall air and the filter system is additionally loaded. Since the distance between a smoke-generating unit and the suction devices in the hall roof is very large, there is also the risk that, with less buoyancy of the smoke or dust particles, they will not be caught by the suction flow and will sink again. Therefore, the suction systems have to be very powerful, which causes high investment costs.
When using fume hoods which are arranged directly above a smoke-generating unit, there is the difficulty that these are due to the need to move the crane towards the metallurgical vessel, e.g. Converter, can only be designed up to a certain size. They are too small for the complete detection of the smoke, which is why some of the exhaust gases escape past the extractor hood.
The invention aims at avoiding these disadvantages and difficulties and has as its object to create a device with which the gases generated during the production of steel are almost completely detected, this device being advantageous for a plurality of work stations where smoke is generated, can be used, but the hall crane can be moved unhindered by stationary installations in the different operating positions.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a device of the type mentioned at the outset in that the crane trolley forms a movable unit with an extractor hood, the extractor hood in the operating position covers the container and the mouth of the metallurgical vessel and connects to a chimney.
According to a preferred embodiment, the unit consisting of crane trolley and extractor hood can be moved between at least two operating positions, e.g. between the filling position and pouring position of a metallurgical vessel, such as a pig iron mixer, the extractor hood being connectable to a chimney in each operating position.
The opening in the fume cupboard is advantageously widened and preferably lengthened in the direction of travel of the crane trolley, corrective movements of the crane trolley being able to be carried out without impairing the gas discharge. For this purpose, it is also expedient that a flange which is extended in the running direction of the crane trolley is fastened to the connection opening of the extractor hood. With this training, the sucking in of false air is avoided during corrective movements.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which Fig. 1 is a side view of the device on a pig iron emptying pit, partly in section, Fig. 2 is a side view of the device on a pig iron mixer, partly in section, in two positions, Fig. 3 is a side view of the Device at a converter stand and Fig. 4 shows a front view of the device, partly in section. 5 is a side view of the connection position of the extractor hood to a chimney opening and FIGS. 6 and 6 a show sections along the line VI-VI of FIG. 5, with FIG. 6 the heavily extended position and FIG. 6 a the broken line position in FIG. 5 correspond.
6 a ersichtlich ist. Fig. 6 a entspricht der strichlierten Stellung der Fig. 5.
In the operating position, the opening of a
