Claims (13)
1. Optisk fiberkabel, omfattende: en optisk fiber; et bufferør, der omslutter den optiske fiber; et vandblokeringselement (10), der er anbragt mellem den optiske fiber og bufferrøret, hvor vandblokeringselementet (10) er en tolagsstruktur bestående af (i) et lag af et fibrøst eller ikke-fibrøst bærerbånd (16), der afgrænser en flerhed af perforeringer (12), og (ii) et yderligere lag af vandudkvældeligt partikelpulver (14), der bundet til det perforerede bærerbånd (16), hvor vandblokeringselementet (10) i det mindste delvis omgiver den optiske fiber, og hvor det i det væsentlige ikke-fibrøse eller fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (16) er anbragt nær den optiske fiber, og det vandudkvældelige pulver er anbragt modsat den optiske fiber; og en polymer kabelkappe, der omgiver bufferrøret, kendetegnet ved, at perforeringerne (12) har en diameter mellem 0,1 mm og 10 mm.
2. Optisk fiberkabel, omfattende en optisk fiber; et bufferrør, der omslutter den optiske fiber; et vandblokeringselement (20), der er anbragt mellem den optiske fiber og bufferrøret, hvor vandblokeringselementet (20) er en trelagsstruktur, der omfatter (i) første og andre fibrøse eller første og andre ikke-fibrøse bærerbånd (26, 28), hvor hvert især af de første og andre bærerbånd (26, 28) afgrænser en flerhed af perforeringer (22), og (ii) et vandudkvældeligt partikelpulver (24), der er placeret mellem de første og andre perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28), hvor det vandudkvældelige partikelpulver (24) er bundet til mindst et af de første og andre perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28), og hvor vandblokeringselementet (20) i det mindste delvis omgiver den optiske fiber; og en polymer kabekappe, der omgiver bufferrøret, kendetegnet ved, at perforeringerne (12, 22) har en diameter mellem 0,1 mm og 10 mm.
3. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor det perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) har en massefylde på mindst omkring 0,90 g/cm3.
4. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) er i det væsentlige inkompressible.
5. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) har en Shore A hårdhed på mere end omkring 25.
6. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) har en Shore A hårdhed på mere end omkring 45.
7. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor flerheden af perforeringer (12) i bærerbåndet (16) eller bærerbåndene (26, 28) er tilpasset for at hindre den tørre vandring af det vandudkvældelige partikelpulver (14, 24) gennem det perforerede bærerbånd (16, 26, 28).
8. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor bærerbåndet (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre bærerbånd (26, 28) er et vanduopløseligt bærerbånd (26, 28), der opretholder sin styrke og strukturmæssige integritet, når det nedsænkes i vand.

Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) omfatter et substrat, der er dannet af en flerhed af polymere fibre, hvor massefylden af substratet er mindst omkring 90 procent af massefylden af de polymere fibre.
11. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) omfatter naturlige fibre.
12. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) omfatter papir.
13. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foreågende krav, hvor det fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (16) eller hvert især af de første og andre fibrøse perforerede bærerbånd (26, 28) omfatter pergamentpapir.
