Abstract
The installation usable in particular in accordance with the GSM standard, comprises a master station (10) equipped with time-division multiplex links with slaves (14). The slave stations constitute at least one group and each have a cross-connection unit which is controllable so as either to insert a specified channel of order i into the respective station, or route it while passing the station. Each cross-connection unit (2) and the master station contain an identifier of a signalling channel assigned to the cross-connection unit; the cross-connection units of all the slave stations contain means of associating all the pairs each consisting of counterpart channels on two links so as to pass all the stations and carry out complete routing; the master station is devised so as to transmit, over the signalling channel of each respective slave station, the order of insertion of the channel or of the channels to be assigned to the station. <IMAGE>
