Description

Method for increasing the lubricity of textiles Addendum to patent 7o - 2567 The present invention relates to a further development of the method according to patent 702 567. The object of this is a lubricant for textile material to be processed on carded or worsted yarn, in particular wool, containing a dissolved in water Emulsifier and a lubricant, characterized by the use of paraffin, - optionally together with mineral oil, fatty oil, wax and the like. As a lubricant, together with a hydrophilic, water-insoluble, aliphatic compound, preferably with an alcohol with more than 7 carbon atoms, where the said lubricants coloring, disinfecting, fungicidal; bactericidal, insecticidal or odor-causing agents and, if appropriate, organic solvents can be added. Lubricants of the composition mentioned give the fiber an excellent lubricity which is considerably higher than that achieved by paraffin alone. This effect has already been scientifically researched under the name of slipperiness or slipperiness, but has not yet been evaluated in practice.

It has now been shown that such flakes of rayon, especially but artificial silk in endless threads, while giving the desired gliding ability, that they lack the ability to give the thread the desired finish, whereby the mechanical stress, especially on the surface, increases again, which can lead to damage to the threads or fibers.

The present method represents a very important further development of the method according to patent 702 567 , since it largely avoids these disadvantages. It consists in that ß one the hydnophilic, water-insoluble, aliphatic compounds of the main patent, z. B. the fatty alcohols, partially or completely replaced by hydration, capable, hydrophilic, water-soluble substances. By adding these compounds, in addition to the desired Fadensühluß, a significantly increased stability of the emulsions or suspensions of the lubricant used is achieved at the same time. The reason for this is that in the new lubricants the disintegration of the dispersion is inhibited by increasing the internal friction of the solutions. In addition to the excellent hydrophilic properties and the excellent sliding effect, these lamellas also have an excellent closing effect, so that the majority of individual fibers form a closed structure that is considerably more resistant to mechanical stress. Like the products of the main patent, the emulsions according to the invention are extremely easy to wash out and have the advantage that in the further refinement processes, for example. when dyeing, no disturbances occur.

The new types of hob also have the great advantages that they can once again be washed out easily and completely, and that they on the other hand, even if they remain on the fiber, in the subsequent finishing processes, for example, do not interfere in any way with dyeing. On the contrary, it shows that the new melts act as a superplasticizer when certain dyes are used, so that in many cases one obtains dyeings that are more resistant to rubbing and often also more lightfast, because the dyes are able to form intimate bonds with the fiber.

It should be pointed out, finally, that the new Schmelzen is on and have a high resistance in the fiber and that due to their hydroplasia on the one hand, the humidification of the spinning and processing rooms can be reduced can and on the other hand, the processing on the Lisseuse with considerable advantages brings itself.

Come as hydratable, hydrophilic, water-soluble compounds For example, consider the polysaccharides, certain proteins and protein breakdown products, Gelatine, but not glue, its adhesive properties in spite of its soothing properties the possibly present hydrophobic compounds are too high, Excellent are also suitable. Pectins and salts of nucleic acids, for example from Herring roe can be represented. The salts of the should be emphasized as dispersants Sulfuric and phosphoric esters of fatty acids and fatty alcohols with more than i i carbon atoms in the molecule.

The following examples are intended to convey the essence of the present invention but are not intended to be limiting.

Example i For melting copper rayon is very successful the following mixture can be used: 70 parts olein, 60 parts paraffin, 15 parts Ammonia, 3 parts polysaccharide, 1500 parts water. This mixture is also useful diluted with water before use.

Example z viscose cellulose wool or a mixture of these with wool conveniently melted with the following mixture: 3o parts paraffin, 5o parts mineral oil, 3o parts of olein, 8.5 parts of potassium hydroxide, 17.5 parts of commercially available apple pectin, 5 parts Olegic alcohol, 5 parts cetyl alcohol, 250 parts water. A soft, ointment-like appearance is obtained Mass that is sufficiently diluted before use.
