Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an Al-Mg-Si alloy plate having excellent thermal conductivity, electric conductivity and strength by simple and minimal steps. <P>SOLUTION: The process for producing the alloy plate comprises a step of hot rolling an Al-Mg-Si alloy ingot which has a composition consisting of, by mass, 0.2 to 0.8% Si, 0.3 to 1% Mg, ≤0.5% Fe, ≤0.5% Cu, further at least either of ≤0.1% Ti, and ≤0.1% B, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities and a step of cold rolling the resultant alloy plate. In the course between the completion of the hot rolling and the completion of the cold rolling, heat treatment is carried out by holding the rolled matter at 200 to 400°C for ≥1 h. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
