Abdeckplatten zur Förderung des PflanzenwuchsesCover plates to promote plant growth
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 30. Juni 1931 abPatented in the German Empire on June 30, 1931
There are already known cover plates for promoting plant growth, which consist of air- and rain-impermeable materials. These culture protection plates have the disadvantage that they close off the ground from the outside and thus prevent breathing through the earth. It is also known to use a blanket made of tangled fibers (wood wool) to cover the ground. According to the invention, cut peat slabs are used to cover the ground. For this purpose, about 10 mm thick boards in various widths and lengths are cut from pre-dried fiber peat. To make these peat slabs pliable, they are rolled. This prevents it from rolling up due to the action of the sun's rays. These peat slabs have the advantage that they have an insulating effect, so that the scorching rays of the sun are kept away from the ground during the day and cold air currents cannot reach the plants when the temperature is low at night. Since the plates to air and rain are permeable, the Erdatmung will not fall below z5 connected, the soil is kept moist and protected from crusting. The other advantages that are achieved by covering the ground are also fully achieved with the peat slabs according to the invention.
