Abstract

The inclined lift for a short flight of stairs (10) has a main girder (2), extending up the latter and accommodating a motor drive travelling load support (4). A foot (6), bearing against a floor (9), and a top end support (7), are provided on the girder. The girder has upper and lower guide tracks, against which top and bottom rollers (39,38) on a truck (3) on a truck (3) bear, with the load support overhung from the latter. The truck is coupled to the drive motor and incorporates a brake (8), operating alternately with the motor.
