In der Patentschrift 271853 ist ein Kugelzapfen für Automobillenkung und andere Zwecke beschrieben, bei welchem ein in Nuten gelegter Filzring, welcher an einer mit dem Kugelzapfen konzentrischen Kugelfläche schleift, den Raum des Kugelzapfens nach außen hin abschließt.
