Description

Eye therapeutic apparatus
Technical Field
The application belongs to the technical field of eye treatment equipment, and particularly relates to an eye treatment instrument.
Background
In a human eye, the tear film covering the visual angle surface includes three layers, wherein the innermost layer in contact with the visual angle surface is a mucus layer containing a lot of mucins; the middle layer, which includes most of the tear film, is an aqueous layer that provides a protective layer and lubrication to prevent dryness of the eye, which can produce symptoms such as itching, burning and irritation that can lead to discomfort; the outermost layer contains a number of lipids known as "meibum" or "sebum", which is very thin, typically less than 250nm thick, and provides a protective coating over the aqueous and mucous layers to limit the rate at which these underlying layers evaporate.
Higher evaporation rates of the aqueous layer may result in dryness of the eye, and thus, dryness of the eye may occur if the lipid layer is insufficient to limit the evaporation rate of the aqueous layer. During blinking, the lipid layer also lubricates the eyelid, which can prevent dry eye. An unhealthy lipid layer or insufficient amount of lipid can lead to accelerated evaporation of the watery layer, which in turn produces symptoms such as itching, burning, irritation, and dryness, collectively referred to as "dry eye.
The meibomian glands of the animal's eyelid are used to secrete grease that prevents evaporation of the tear film and provides lubrication to the eye and eyelid. These glands can become plugged or plugged (occluded) by various mechanisms, resulting in meibomian gland dysfunction, the so-called "dry eye syndrome". This disorder is characterized by some obstruction within or on the surface of the meibomian glands that impedes the flow of normal lipid secretions from the meibomian glands to form the lipid layer of the tear film, which secretions serve to prevent evaporation of the aqueous tear film and to lubricate the eye and eyelid, and thus their lack can cause dry eye syndrome.
Drops that replicate or replace natural aqueous tears are commonly used in the prior art to stimulate tear production by lacrimal cells to alleviate symptoms of dry eye, however, this approach is merely superficial and temporary relief, and after waiting for drug failure, tear, watery layers continue politics and itching, burning pain, irritation and dryness continue, and thus, existing methods of improving dry eye do not fundamentally treat dry eye conditions.
