Technical Field

Background
With the development of display technologies, the demands of various oversized display devices are increasing, and applications in various scenes are also becoming wider, so that tiled display devices are becoming more and more important, and compared with liquid crystal displays (LiquidCrystalDisplay, LCD) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), micro light-emitting diodes (Mini/Micro electronic diodes, mini/-LEDs/Micro-LEDs, collectively referred to as MLEDs) are becoming the mainstream of display technologies due to their advantages of lower power consumption, lower response time, higher PPI, and higher color gamut.
In the existing curved display device products, a flexible transparent micro light-emitting diode screen is needed, namely, a lamp bead is fixed on a flexible acrylic plate with a transparent electrode, but the screen has rough image quality; in addition, as the curved surface display device is generally designed into three sections, namely a straight line section, an arc section and a straight line section, bending stress and degumming stress of the curved surface display device are suddenly increased at the tangential position of the straight line section and the arc section, the curved surface display panel has risks of deformation and degumming, and therefore the requirements of large-size high-end commercial display scenes cannot be met.

the display module is characterized by further comprising a supporting part arranged on the light emitting side of the display panel, wherein the supporting part comprises a first supporting sub-part positioned in the splicing area and a second supporting sub-part extending along the first direction and connected with the first supporting sub-part, the second supporting sub-part comprises a second curved surface part corresponding to the first curved surface part and a second plane part corresponding to the first plane part, and the curvature of the second curved surface part is larger than that of the first curved surface part.
In the display module provided by the embodiment of the application, the display module further comprises a binding area and a frame area, wherein the binding area, the frame area and the splicing area are respectively positioned at different sides of the display subarea; the frame area extends along the first direction, and the second support sub-portion is located in the frame area.
In the display module provided by the embodiment of the application, the display module comprises a plurality of display panel groups arranged along a second direction, each display panel group comprises two display panels arranged along the first direction, and the first direction is arranged to form a preset included angle with the second direction;
the splicing area comprises a first splicing area and a second splicing area, two adjacent display panels along the first direction are spliced in the first splicing area, and two adjacent display panel groups along the second direction are spliced in the second splicing area;

The present embodiment provides a display module 1, the display module 1 includes a display area a and a splicing area B, along a first direction X, the display module 1 includes a first curved surface portion 1A, and two first plane portions 1B symmetrically disposed on two opposite sides of the first curved surface portion 1A, that is, in this embodiment, the display module 1 is a curved surface structure.
The display module 1 includes at least two display panels 10 disposed along the first direction X, the display area a includes a plurality of display sub-areas A1, one display sub-area A1 is disposed corresponding to one display panel 10, the splicing area B is located between two adjacent display sub-areas A1, and two adjacent display panels 10 are spliced in the splicing area B; in this embodiment, the display panels 10 are curved structures, and the two display panels 10 are symmetrically disposed on two sides of the center line W of the display module 1, and the display panel 10 includes, but is not limited to, one of a liquid crystal display panel LiquidCrystalDisplay, LCD, an organic light-EmittingDiode, OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display panel, and a Micro light-emitting diode (Mini/-LED/Micro-LED, collectively referred to as MLED) display panel, and this embodiment is exemplified by the display panel 10 as a Micro light-emitting diode display panel.
Further, the display module 1 further includes a binding area C and a frame area D, where the binding area C, the frame area D, and the splicing area B are located at different sides of the display sub-area A1 respectively; wherein the frame region D extends along the first direction X; it can be appreciated that in this embodiment, by setting the binding area C, the splicing area B, and the frame area D to be respectively located at different sides of the display area a, the binding area C is located outside the splicing area B, so that seamless display of two adjacent display panels 10 at the splicing position is achieved.
The display panel 10 includes a substrate (not shown), a display portion 110 disposed on the substrate and located in the display area a, a binding portion 120 disposed on the substrate and located in the binding area C, and a splicing portion 130 disposed on the substrate and located in the splicing area B, where the binding portion 120, the display portion 110, and the splicing portion 130 are disposed in parallel along the first direction X, and the substrate is a flexible substrate.
The material of the substrate may include at least one of acrylic resin, methacrylic resin, polyisoprene, vinyl resin, epoxy-based resin, polyurethane-based resin, cellulose resin, silicone resin, polyimide-based resin, polyamide-based resin, and preferably, in the present embodiment, the material of the substrate is polyimide-based resin, thereby achieving overall flexibility of the display panel 10.
The display portion 110 includes a thin film transistor layer (not shown) and a display functional layer (not shown) that are stacked on the substrate, the display functional layer includes a plurality of light emitting devices (not shown), and the binding portion 120 and the thin film transistor layer are arranged in parallel along the first direction X, where in this embodiment, a Mini light emitting diode (Mini light emitting diode) is taken as an example, and the light emitting devices may be transferred to the thin film transistor layer through a mass transfer process or a wave Soldering (SMT) process, which is not limited in this embodiment.

It should be noted that, the thin film transistor layer includes, but is not limited to, an active layer, a gate insulating layer, a gate electrode, an interlayer insulating layer, a source/drain electrode layer, a passivation layer, and other common film layers, which are not described in detail in this embodiment, and meanwhile, the number of the flip chip thin films 32 is not limited in detail in this embodiment; it is to be understood that the type or structure of the thin film transistor is not particularly limited in this embodiment, and preferably, the thin film transistor layer includes a plurality of top gate thin film transistors, and the light transmittance of the thin film transistor layer is greater than 80%; in specific implementation, the thin film transistor layer can be used for realizing the driving or switching function of the light emitting device as long as the thin film transistor layer is reasonably configured.
In this embodiment, the display module 1 further includes a supporting portion 20, where the supporting portion 20 is far away from the light emitting side of the display panel 10, and the material of the supporting portion 20 includes, but is not limited to, one of a jockey, polyvinyl chloride or flexible glass, and in this embodiment, the solution of the present application is illustrated by taking the jockey as the material of the supporting portion 20; further, the supporting portion 20 may be attached to the substrate by an optical adhesive (OCA), and the attaching manner of the supporting portion 20 and the display panel 10 is not particularly limited in this embodiment.
The supporting portion 20 includes a first supporting sub-portion 210 located in the splicing region B, and a second supporting sub-portion 220 extending along the first direction X and connected to the first supporting sub-portion 210, the second supporting sub-portion 220 includes a second curved surface portion 220A disposed corresponding to the first curved surface portion 1A, and a second flat surface portion 220B disposed corresponding to the first flat surface portion 1B, and the curvature of the second curved surface portion 220A is greater than that of the first curved surface portion 1A.
Wherein the second supporting sub-portion 220 is located in the frame area D; it should be noted that, in this embodiment, the frame area D is the non-display area a of the display module 1, and the second supporting sub-portion 220 is located in the frame area D, so as to avoid the second supporting sub-portion 220 from shielding the display panel 10, thereby affecting the display effect of the display module 1.
In this embodiment, the display module 1 includes a plurality of display panel groups 100 disposed along a second direction Y, and each display panel group 100 includes two display panels 10 disposed along the first direction X, where the first direction X is disposed at a preset angle with respect to the second direction Y; in this embodiment, the range of the preset included angle and the directions of the first direction X and the second direction Y are not limited, but for convenience of description, the present embodiment is exemplified by the preset included angle being 90 °, the first direction being the direction X, and the second direction being the direction Y.
The splicing area B includes a first splicing area B1 and a second splicing area B2, two adjacent display panels 10 along the first direction X are spliced in the first splicing area B1, and two adjacent display panel groups 100 along the second direction Y are spliced in the second splicing area B2; specifically, the first splicing region B1 extends along the second direction Y, and the second splicing region B2 extends along the first direction X.
The first supporting sub-portion 210 includes a main portion 211 located in the first splicing region B1 and a branch portion 212 located in the second splicing region B2, the main portion 211 and the branch portion 212 are connected to each other, the main portion 211 extends along the second direction Y, and the branch portion 212 extends along the first direction X; the branching portion 212 includes a third curved surface portion 212A provided corresponding to the first curved surface portion 1A, and a third plane portion 212B provided corresponding to the first plane portion 1B, and the curvature of the third curved surface portion 212A is larger than the curvature of the first curved surface portion 1A.
It can be appreciated that in this embodiment, by being disposed in the frame area D, the curvature of the second curved surface portion 220A is greater than the curvature of the first curved surface portion 1A, and in the second splicing area B2, the curvature of the third curved surface portion 212A is greater than the curvature of the first curved surface portion 1A, so as to maintain the curvature of the display module 1 structure stable, so as to meet the requirement of large-size high-end commercial display.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment, the curvature of the first curved surface portion 1A, the curvature of the second curved surface portion 220A, and the curvature of the third curved surface portion 212A are not limited, and the value thereof may be selected according to actual process conditions.
Specifically, the display module 1 includes N adjacent display panel groups 100 disposed along the second direction Y, and the first supporting sub-portion 210 includes N-1 branch portions 212 disposed along the second direction Y, where N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1; further, in the direction perpendicular to the display panels 10, along the first direction X, the length of the branch portion 212 is equal to the sum of the widths of two adjacent display panels 10, and along the second direction Y, the length of the trunk portion 211 is N times the width of the display panels 10; preferably, in this embodiment, the display module 1 includes 3 adjacent display panel groups 100 disposed along the second direction Y, the first support sub-portion 210 includes 2 branch portions 212 disposed along the second direction Y, and in the direction perpendicular to the display panel 10, the length of the trunk portion 211 is 3 times the width of the display panel 10 along the second direction Y.
When N is greater than 2, the first supporting sub-portion 210 includes N-1 branching portions 212 spaced apart along the second direction Y; in the direction perpendicular to the display panel 10, the distance between two adjacent branch portions 212 is smaller than the width of the display panel 10, and the distance between the second support sub-portion 220 and the adjacent branch portion 212 is smaller than the width of the display panel 10, so as to avoid the shielding of the display panel 10 by the support portion 20, thereby affecting the display effect of the display module 1.
In this embodiment, along the second direction Y, the frame area D includes a first frame area D1 and a second frame area D2 located at opposite sides of the display module 1, the second support sub-portion 220 includes a first frame support portion 221 located in the first frame area D1, and a second frame support portion 222 located in the first frame area D1, where in the first frame area D1, the first frame support portion 221 is connected to the trunk portion 211, and in the second frame area D2, the second frame support portion 222 is connected to the trunk portion 211, a distance H1 between the first frame support portion 221 and an adjacent branch portion 212 is equal to a distance H2 between the second frame support portion 222 and an adjacent branch portion 212, and a distance H1 between the first frame support portion 221 and an adjacent branch portion 212 is equal to a distance H3 between the adjacent two branch portions 212, so as to improve stability of the support portion 20; it can be understood that the first bezel supporting part 221, the branching part 212, and the second bezel supporting part 222 are disposed parallel to each other in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 10.
The width of the first supporting sub-portion 210 is greater than the width of the splice seam between two adjacent display panels 10 in the direction perpendicular to the display panels 10, and the width of the second supporting sub-portion 220 is greater than the width of the splice seam between two adjacent display panels 10; specifically, in the direction perpendicular to the display panel 10, the width of the trunk portion 211, the width of the branch portion 212, the width of the first frame supporting portion 221, and the width of the second frame supporting portion 222 are all greater than the widths of the splice seams of two adjacent display panels 10, so that the supporting effect and the fixing effect of the supporting portion 20 on the display module 1 are further improved, the phenomena of film layer debonding, breakage and the like of the display module 1 in the bending process are avoided, and the overall yield and reliability of the display module 1 are improved.
Preferably; the width of the trunk portion 211 is 1 cm to 2 cm, the width of the branch portion 212 is 1 cm to 2 cm, the width of the first frame supporting portion 221 is 1 cm to 2 cm, and the width of the second frame supporting portion 222 is 1 cm to 2 cm, which is not particularly limited in this embodiment.
It should be noted that, referring to fig. 5, as an enlarged view of fig. 4 at E, at the connection position of the trunk portion 211 and the branch portion 212, one of the trunk portion 211 and the branch portion 212 is provided with a groove structure 20A, the other of the trunk portion 211 and the branch portion 212 is provided with a protrusion structure 20B, and the groove structure 20A and the protrusion structure 20B are mutually engaged; preferably, in this embodiment, at the connection between the trunk portion 211 and the branch portion 212, the groove structure 20A is disposed on a side of the trunk portion 211 close to the branch portion 212, the protrusion structure 20B is disposed on a side of the branch portion 212 close to the trunk portion 211, and the trunk portion 211 and the branch portion 212 are engaged with each other through the groove structure 20A and the protrusion structure 20B, so as to improve stability of the support portion 20.
Further, in the present embodiment, at the connection of the trunk portion 211 and the second support sub-portion 220, one of the trunk portion 211 and the second support sub-portion 220 is provided with a groove structure 20A, the other of the trunk portion 211 and the second support sub-portion is provided with a protrusion structure 20B, and the groove structure 20A and the protrusion structure 20B are fitted to each other; preferably, in this embodiment, at the connection between the trunk portion 211 and the second support sub-portion 220, a groove structure 20A is disposed on a side of the trunk portion 211 near the second support sub-portion 220, a protrusion structure 20B is disposed on a side of the second support sub-portion 220 near the trunk portion 211, and the trunk portion 211 and the second support sub-portion 220 are engaged with each other through the groove structure 20A and the protrusion structure 20B, so as to improve stability of the support portion 20.
It is to be understood that, in the present embodiment, the number of the protruding structures 20B and the number of the recessed structures 20A are not particularly limited; in addition, in an embodiment, the supporting portion 20 may be an integrally formed structure, that is, the main portion 211, the branch portion 212, and the second supporting sub-portion 220 are integrally formed, so as to save manufacturing process.
The embodiment provides a display device, which includes the display module set described in any one of the embodiments.
It will be appreciated that the light emitting module has been described in detail in the above embodiments, and the description thereof will not be repeated here.
When the display device is specifically applied, the display device can be a display screen of equipment such as a smart phone, a tablet personal computer, a notebook computer, a smart bracelet, a smart watch, smart glasses, a smart helmet, a desktop computer, a smart television or a digital camera, and even can be applied to electronic equipment with a flexible display screen.
In summary, the present application provides a display module and a display device, where the display module includes a display area and a splicing area, and along a first direction, the display module includes a first curved surface portion, and two first plane portions symmetrically disposed on two opposite sides of the first curved surface portion; the display module comprises at least two display panels arranged along a first direction, the display area comprises a plurality of display subareas, one display subarea corresponds to one display panel, the splicing area is positioned between two adjacent display subareas, the supporting part is far away from the light emitting side of the display panel, the supporting part comprises a first supporting sub-part positioned in the splicing area, and a second supporting sub-part which extends along the first direction and is connected with the first supporting sub-part, the second supporting sub-part comprises a second curved surface part which is arranged corresponding to the first curved surface part and a second plane part which is arranged corresponding to the first plane part, and the curvature of the second curved surface part is larger than that of the first curved surface part, so that the curvature of the display module structure is maintained stable, and the requirement of a large-size high-end manufacturer scene is met.

The foregoing has described in detail a display module and a display device provided by embodiments of the present application, and specific examples have been applied herein to illustrate principles and embodiments of the present application, where the foregoing description of the embodiments is only for aiding in understanding of the method and core ideas of the present application; meanwhile, those skilled in the art will have variations in the specific embodiments and application scope in light of the ideas of the present application, and the present description should not be construed as limiting the present application in view of the above.
Claims (10)
1. The display module comprises a display area and a splicing area, and along a first direction, the display module comprises a first curved surface part and two first plane parts symmetrically arranged on two opposite sides of the first curved surface part;
the display module comprises at least two display panels arranged along the first direction, the display area comprises a plurality of display subareas, one display subarea is arranged corresponding to one display panel, and the splicing area is positioned between two adjacent display subareas;
the display module is characterized by further comprising a supporting part arranged on the light emitting side of the display panel, wherein the supporting part comprises a first supporting sub-part positioned in the splicing area and a second supporting sub-part extending along the first direction and connected with the first supporting sub-part, the second supporting sub-part comprises a second curved surface part corresponding to the first curved surface part and a second plane part corresponding to the first plane part, and the curvature of the second curved surface part is larger than that of the first curved surface part.
2. The display module of claim 1, further comprising a binding region and a border region, the binding region, the border region, and the stitching region being located on different sides of the display sub-region, respectively; the frame area extends along the first direction, and the second support sub-portion is located in the frame area.
3. The display module of claim 2, wherein the display module comprises a plurality of display panel groups arranged along a second direction, each display panel group comprising two display panels arranged along the first direction, the first direction being arranged at a predetermined angle to the second direction;
the splicing area comprises a first splicing area and a second splicing area, two adjacent display panels along the first direction are spliced in the first splicing area, and two adjacent display panel groups along the second direction are spliced in the second splicing area;
the first support sub-portion comprises a main portion located in the first splicing area and a branch portion located in the second splicing area and connected with the main portion, the main portion is connected with the branch portion, wherein in the second splicing area, the branch portion comprises a third curved surface portion corresponding to the first curved surface portion and a third plane portion corresponding to the first plane portion, and the curvature of the third curved surface portion is larger than that of the first curved surface portion.
4. A display module according to claim 3, wherein the display module comprises N adjacent display panel groups arranged along the second direction, and the first support sub-portion comprises N-1 branch portions arranged along the second direction, wherein N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1.
5. The display module of claim 4, wherein in a direction perpendicular to the display panels, a length of the branch portion is equal to a sum of widths of two adjacent display panels in the first direction, and a length of the trunk portion is N times the width of the display panels in the second direction.
6. The display module of claim 5, wherein along the second direction, the bezel area includes a first bezel area and a second bezel area located on opposite sides of the display module, and the second support sub-portion includes a first bezel support portion located in the first bezel area and a second bezel support portion located in the first bezel area, wherein a distance between the first bezel support portion and the adjacent branch portion is equal to a distance between the second bezel support portion and the adjacent branch portion.
7. A display module according to claim 3, wherein at the junction of the trunk portion and the branch portion, one of the trunk portion and the branch portion is provided with a groove structure, and the other of the trunk portion and the branch portion is provided with a projection structure, the groove structure and the projection structure being fitted to each other.
8. The display module of claim 1, wherein the first support sub-portion has a width in the direction perpendicular to the display panels that is greater than the width of the adjacent two display panel seams in the stitching region, and the second support sub-portion has a width that is greater than the width of the adjacent two display panel seams.
9. The display module of claim 1, wherein the material of the support portion is one of a acrylic, polyvinyl chloride, or flexible glass.
10. A display device comprising a display module according to any one of claims 1-9.
