Abstract
本发明公开一种面状照明装置,更具体地,公开了一种具有发光装置的面状照明装置。面状照明装置包括:多个光源,其布置在电路基板的第一表面上,所述多个光源安装在所述电路基板上;光调节器,其设置在所述第一表面的边缘,光调节器对由接近所述边缘的多个光源之间在距离上的差别导致的亮度差别进行调节;以及光学片,其设置在所述多个光源上。

技术领域
本发明涉及一种面状照明装置,更具体地,涉及一种包括发光装置的面状照明装置。
背景技术
在用于电视、笔记本电脑、台式机以及手机的多种显示屏幕中使用作为一种类型显示器的液晶显示器(LCD)。
这样的LCD不会自发光,因此需要发光装置来照明液晶面板以显示图像信息。
LCD的发光装置与液晶面板的后表面结合并因此被称为背光单元。该背光单元形成均匀的表面光源并向液晶面板提供光。
发光二极管(LCD)具有这样的结构,即,在基板上堆叠n-型半导体层、发光层和p-型半导体层,并且在p-型半导体层和n-型半导体层上形成电极。发光二极管生成光的原理为:从各自的半导体层注入的空穴和电子之间的复合而生成的发光层的光被发射到外面。
这样的发光二极管构成用作背光单元(BLU)的光源的发光二极管封装。
这样的背光单元向液晶面板提供面光源,因此该背光单元被认为是面状照明装置的示例。面状照明装置被认为是均匀地发射光通过一个平面并且具有相对小厚度的光源。
面状照明装置可改善显示装置的效能并可实现显示装置的结构纤薄。
当采用发光二极管作为面状照明装置的光源时,发光二极管可以是向将光扩散到侧方向的侧光型和向前发光的直下型。需要一种对发光二极管发射的光进行均匀扩散的方法。
发明内容
因此,本发明涉及一种面状照明装置,其能够基本消除由于相关技术的局限和缺点带来的一个或更多个问题。
本发明的目的是提供一种能够改善面状照明装置的边缘亮度均匀性的直下型面状照明装置。
本发明的其他优点、目的和特征将会作为随后的说明书的一部分提出,并且在研究以下内容后,这些其他优点、目标和特征的一部分对本领域技术人员来说将会是明显的或者可从本发明的实施得知。通过在书面说明书中、权力要求书以及附图中特别指出的结构可以实现并达到本发明的目的和其他优点。
如在此具体且宽泛描述的,为了实现这些目的和其他优点,并且根据本发明的目的,面状照明装置包括:多个光源,所述多个光源布置在电路基板的第一表面上,所述光源安装在所述电路基板上;光调节器,其设置在所述第一表面的边缘,所述光调节器对由接近所述边缘的多个光源之间在距离上的差别导致的亮度差别进行调节;以及光学片,其设置在所述光源上方。
光调节器可包括一个或更多个反射器,所述反射器用于将从所述光源发射的光反射到由所述第一表面限定的区域的内侧或上部。
可在所述边缘的远离所述光源的部分不连续地设置反射器。
可在所述边缘的与接近所述边缘的相邻光源之间的区域相对应的部分不连续地设置反射器。
各个反射器可包括与所述边缘接触的反射结构或反射片。
反射片或所述反射结构可具有包括半圆形、椭圆形、或圆弧形形状的弯曲的横截面形状,或者具有包括三角形或梯形形状的多边形横截面形状。
反射器包括沿着所述边缘设置的反射层,以及设置在所述反射层中的多个通孔。
通孔可根据相对于所述光源的位置来改变尺寸。
光调节器可包括用于吸收从所述光源发射的光的一个或更多个吸收器。

面状照明装置20可被设置在下盖体16上,并且液晶面板(未示出)可被设置在面状照明装置20上。
面状照明装置20包括多个光源22,多个光源22分别安装在下盖体16的上部中设置的多个电路基板21上。各个光源22可通过表面安装的发光二极管封装被安装在电路基板21上。
包括发光二极管(LED)封装的光源22包括穿过子安装基板221的一对电极222、与电极222连接并安装在电极222上的LED223、以及包括设置在LED223外部的硅树脂混合物的磷光层224。
磷光层224可具有平面化的上表面,并且磷光层224可在其上表面上提供具有光学特性(例如反射性或透射性)的光学层225。
光学层225可由通过将树脂与以下材料混合制得的材料形成:苯丙醇胺(PPA)、环氧模塑料(EMC)、微孔聚乙烯对苯二酸盐(MCPET)、具有反射率的银(Ag)和铝(Al)、以及具有反射率的Ti、Al、Ag、SiO2或类似物的小珠,从而表现出反射性、透射性或折射性。
从LED223向上发出并通过光学层225的光沿着磷光层的侧方向被反射。LED223是蓝色LED,构成磷光层224的磷光材料是黄色磷光材料,因此,从光源22发出的光表现出白光。
安装有光源22的电路基板21可被设置在安装槽161上,安装槽设置在下盖体16的上表面上。此外,包括安装槽161的多个安装槽161以预定的距离彼此分开,并且包括分别设置在多个安装槽161中的电路基板21的多个电路基板21也以预定的距离彼此间隔开。因此,光源22在下盖体16上以预定的距离彼此间隔开。
光源22可以以直线或Z字型被设置。
反射层23可设置在设置于电路基板21的多个光源22之间的缝隙中。因此,光源22从反射层23的上表面突出。
此外,以预定的距离与反射层23间隔开并具有多个透射光的孔151图案的透射调节层15可被设置在反射层23上方。
透射调节层15可利用透射从光源22发出的一些光并对其余的光再次进行反射的反射片。
透射调节层15是在其上表面具有多个孔151的孔图案的反射片。也就是说,从光源22发出并经过孔151的光或者由反射层23反射的光穿过孔151,并且行进到其他区域中的光被再次反射至反射层12,或者被间隔体30折射或反射。
此外,孔151的半径随着与光源22的中心相距的距离增加而增加,因此,随着与光源22相距的距离增加,通过的光比反射的光更多。
也就是说,孔151被这样设置,使得孔151的大小在距离光源22的最近的位置处最小,并且在两个临近的光源22之间的中间处最大。
此外,孔151被这样设置,使得孔151的尺寸从距离光源的最近位置处到两个临近的光源22之间的中间处逐渐增加并且从两个临近的光源22之间的中间处到距离光源最近的位置处逐渐减小。
这样做的原因在于光强度随着距离光源22越近而增加,并且随着距离光源22越远而减小。优选地,随着与光源22的距离增加,光透射增加,并且随着与光源22的距离减小,光透射减小,因此利用这样的面状照明装置,在显示器的整个表面上可均匀地保持光亮度。
从光源22发射的光沿着穿过反射层23和透射调节层15之间的间隙的方向被扩散。经扩散的光沿着透过孔151的图案的向上的方向被发射。因此,反射层23和透射调节层15之间的区域被导光层24限定。
导光层24可由间隔体25形成,该间隔体25能够在反射层23和透射调节层15之间保持预定的间隙。
也就是说,间隔体25起到保持透射调节层15和光源22之间的距离的作用,并且间隔体25延伸至与导光层24的设计高度相对应的高度,以及延伸至与反射层23的长度相对应的长度。
间隔体25由诸如聚碳酸酯(PC)、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)、玻璃、树脂、苯丙醇胺(PPA)或铝的材料形成,因此,能够进行光透射、折射或反射。
此外,通过向间隔体25的上表面和下表面施加粘接剂并进行UV固化或热固化来安装间隔体25。
此外,可在透射调节层上设置光学片,光学片例如是扩散层11、下偏振片12、滤色器基板13和上偏振片14。
同时,通过向电路基板21的下表面和反射层123的下表面施加粘接剂17,可将电路基板21固定到下盖体16的安装槽161。此外,可将反射层固定到电路基板21。
图2和图3是示出根据光源的位置在反射表面的边缘处的亮度分布的示意图。
如上所述,在直下型面状照明装置中,从光源22发射的光的组合在分布有光源22的表面的中心被发射。因此,利用以上描述的光学片11、12、13和14能够使面状照明装置的亮度均匀。
分布有光源22的表面可以是电路基板21的表面或者设置在电路基板21上的反射层23的表面。以下,假设分布有光源的表面是反射层23(反射表面)的上表面,并据此进行描述。
同时,在光源22分布完成的边缘26处会产生接近光源22的区域和远离光源22的区域之间在亮度上的差别。
例如,如从图2和图3所看到的,随着光源22的布置发生改变,根据从光源22到光源22的边缘26的距离可产生亮度差别。
也就是说,在直下型照明装置中,在接近光源22的位置处亮度高,并且在反射层23的上表面的边缘26的远离光源22的位置处亮度低。
因此,如图4所示,优选地提供用于调节由光源22和边缘26之间的距离差别引起的亮度差别的光调节器300。
光调节器300对在反射层23和边缘26之间发生的亮度差进行调节。也就是说,能够改善在边缘26处的亮度的均匀性。
因此,提供了这样的光调节器300时,从光源发射的光会更均匀。更优选地,利用具有多个孔151图案的透射调节层15、设置在反射层23上的光学片11、12、13和14、以及光源可实现更均匀的照明。
例如,光调节器300可包括用于将从光源22发射的光反射到由反射层23形成的区域内部并设置在反射层23的边缘26处的多个反射器30。
例如,反射器30被设置在远离光源22的边缘26的部分中,使得反射器30对向边缘26行进的光进行反射,因此将周围的光聚焦到相对暗的区域,从而对亮度均匀性进行调节。
如有图4所示,可在距离光源22相对远的位置的边缘处不连续地设置反射器30。也就是说,沿着距离光源22更远的位置的边缘26处不连续地设置具有预定宽度的反射器30。
此外,从另一个角度来看,在与接近边缘26的相邻光源之间的区域相对应的边缘部分可非连续地设置反射器30。也就是说,在与接近边缘26的两个光源22之间的区域相对应的边缘部分可设置具有预定宽度的反射器。
图5是示出从沿着图4的线A-A截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图,图6是示出从沿着图4的线B-B截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图。此外,图7是示出通过反射器30对亮度进行调节的示例的示意图。
如图5所示,在远离光源22的位置的边缘处设置反射器30,使得通过反射器反射从光源22发出的光,因此能够增强由于与光源22相距远而导致变暗的区域的亮度。
如图6所示,在更接近光源22的位置中的部分边缘26,光没有被部分边缘26反射以防止区域变得更亮,从而调节了亮度。
此外,如图7所示,从与边缘26接近的光源22发射的光也被反射器反射并向更加远离该光源的区域行进。因此,这样的反射器30均匀化与接近边缘26的光源的亮度和远离边缘26的光源的亮度。
如图8所示的另一个示例,光调节器300包括用于吸收从光源22发射的光的多个吸收器31。吸收器31可被设置在与接近边缘26的光源相对应的位置。
这样的吸收器31与光源22接近,并且吸收比相邻区域更亮的区域的光以使更亮的区域变暗,从而调节亮度均匀性。
如图8所示,吸收器31可被不连续地设置在与光源接近的边缘处。也就是说,在沿着边缘26在相对接近光源22的位置不连续地设置具有预定宽度的吸收器31。
图9是示出从沿着图8的线C-C截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图,图10是示出从沿着图8的线D-D截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图。另外,图11是示出通过吸收器31对亮度进行调节的示例的示意图。
如图9所示,在边缘26的远离光源22的位置的一部分中,光没有被边缘26的该部分反射地行进,从而调节了亮度。
如图10所示,吸收器31沿着边缘被设置在接近光源22的边缘26的位置,使得从光源22发射的光被吸收器31吸收而不被反射或穿过吸收器,因此,减小了由于与光源22的距离近而导致的相对亮的区域的亮度。
此外,如图11所示,如上所述,从接近边缘26的光源22发出的光被吸收进吸收器31,而从远离边缘26的光源22发出的光经过吸收器而没有被吸收。因此,吸收器31对接近边缘26的光源22的亮度均匀性和远离边缘26的光源22的亮度均匀性做出贡献。
如图12所示的另一个光调节器300的示例,光调节器300包括交替设置的多个反射器30和多个吸收器31。
也就是说,光调节器300可包括用于将从光源22发射的光反射到反射层23内部的反射器30和设置在反射器30之间并对从光源22发射的光进行吸收的吸收器31。
这样,反射器30和吸收器31彼此交替,并且可沿着反射层23的至少一侧的边缘26不连续地设置光调节器300。
虽然为了方便起见,图12示出了在透射调节层23的上侧和下侧的边缘设置反射器30和吸收器31的示例,但是也可以在透射调节层的左侧和右侧设置反射器30和吸收器31。
如图中所示,沿着边缘26在边缘26的远离光源22的部分的位置设置具有预定宽度的反射器30,并且沿着边缘26在边缘26的接近光源22的部分的位置设置具有预定宽度的吸收器31。
各个反射器30和各个吸收器31可具有相同的宽度。但是,在某些情况下,反射器30的宽度大于吸收器31的宽度,或者吸收器31的宽度大于反射器30的宽度。
图13是示出从沿着图12的线E-E截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图,图14是示出从沿着图12的线F-F截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图。另外,图15是示出通过反射器30和吸收器31对亮度进行调节的示例的示意图。
如图13所示,沿着边缘在边缘26的远离光源22的部分的位置设置反射器30,使得从光源22发射的光被反射器30反射,因此,由于与光源22距离远而导致的相对暗的区域的亮度得到了加强。
如图14所示,在边缘26的接近光源22的部分处设置吸收器31,使得从近光源22发射的光被吸收器31吸收,因此,调节了相对亮的区域的亮度。
此外,如图15所示,从接近边缘26的光源22发射的光被吸收器31吸收,并且从远离边缘26的光源22发射的光被反射器30反射。从接近边缘26的光源22发射的光被反射器30反射,因此,调节了相对暗的区域的亮度。
也就是说,反射器30和吸收器31对从接近边缘26的光源发射的光和从远离边缘26的光源22发射的光进行调节,因此,对亮度均匀性做出贡献。
如图16所示的另一个光调节器300的示例,光调节器300包括沿着边缘26设置的反射层32和设置在反射层32中的多个通孔33。
虽然为了方便起见,在图16示出在透射调节层23的上侧和下侧的边缘设置反射层32和通孔33的示例,但是,反射层32和通孔23也可以设置在透射调节层23的左侧和右侧。
如图16所示,通孔33根据与光源22的相对位置而改变尺寸。
也就是说,在更接近光源22的区域中设置较大的通孔33,而在远离光源22的区域中设置小通孔。
此外,可逐渐地改变通孔33的尺寸。也就是说,在相对接近光源22的区域中设置最大的通孔33,随着与最大通孔的距离增加,逐渐减小通孔33的大小,并且在距离光源22最远的位置处设置最小的通孔33。
图17是示出从沿着图16的线G-G截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图,图18是示出从沿着图16的线H-H截取的横截面看到的光的行进的示意图。另外,图19是示出通过反射层32对亮度进行调节的示例的示意图。
如图17所示,在边缘26的相对远离光源22的部分处设置具有小通孔33的反射层32,使得从光源22发射的少量光通过通孔33,而大多数光被反射,因此,由于与光源22距离远而导致的相对暗的区域的亮度得到了加强。
此外,如图18所示,在边缘26的接近光源22的部分处设置具有大通孔33的反射层,使得从光源22发射的大多数光穿过通孔33,因此,相对亮的区域的亮度得到了调节。
图19是示出光经过具有各种尺寸的通孔33的反射层32的示意图。
也就是说,从接近边缘26的光源22发射的部分光穿过大通孔33,并且其余部分光被反射层的设置有小通孔33的部分反射,从而相对暗的区域的亮度得到了调节。
此外,由于从远离边缘26的光源22发射的大部分光被反射层32反射,所以相对暗区域的亮度被调节,因此改善了亮度均匀性。
同时,虽然以上描述的反射器30或反射层32被示出为诸如薄壁的形状,但是如图20所示,也可以提供横截面具有多边形形状的斜面的反射片34。
也就是说,如图20所示,形成横截面具有直角三角形形状的斜面的反射片34使得从光源发射的光向上行进。
此外,关于反射的形状,如图21所示,可形成横截面具有半球形曲面或圆弧形形状的反射片35。在某些情况下,反射片35可具有椭圆形曲面。
也就是说,如图22所示,可以形成横截面具有三角形形状的斜面的反射片36,并且如图23所示,可以形成横截面具有梯形形状的斜面的反射片37。
反射片37向反射层23的上表面反射从光源22发射的至少一部分光,并且将剩余的光反射进由反射层23形成的区域内。
可将具有各种形状的反射片34、35、36和37用于以上所描述的反射器30或反射层32的形状。
同时,以上所描述的吸收层31也可形成为与反射片34、35、36和37相同的形状中的一种形状。
如图24所示,在边缘26的远离光源22的位置上的部分中,可提供用于减小边缘和光源之间距离的反射结构38。
也就是说,在边缘26的远离光源22的部分中,通过利用反射结构38来减小边缘和光源22之间的距离,并且周围的光被传输到暗区,因此可以调节亮度均匀性。
反射结构38可由高反射材料形成。图24示出了具有椭圆形状的反射结构38,但是可以从诸如包括圆形或圆弧形、三角形或梯形的弯曲形状的多种形状中选择反射结构38的形状。
关于以上描述的包括反射器30、吸收器31和反射片32的光调节器,如图26所示,另一种新制造的光调节器300与光调节器的边缘26连接。
例如,如图26所示,彼此交替的反射器30和吸收器31被制成分离的结构,然后再与边缘26连接。
此外,如图27所示,反射层23的表面可向内侧方向弯曲以构成反射器30。
也就是说,制造反射层23使其具有用作反射器30的部分,并且使该部分弯曲以构成反射器30。
在不脱离本发明的范围和主旨的情况下可以对本发明进行各种修改和变形,这对本领域技术人员来说是明显的。因此,本发明旨在涵盖落入权利要求及其等同物的范围内的本发明的修改和变形。
本发明要求享有2013年1月23日提交的韩国专利申请No.10-2013-0007294的权益,在此通过参考结合,如同在此进行了全面阐述一样。
Claims (13)
1.一种面状照明装置,该面状照明装置包括:
电路基板;
多个光源,所述多个光源设置在所述电路基板的第一表面上;
反射层,所述反射层设置在所述电路基板的所述第一表面上,所述反射层包括多个开口,相应的光源位于所述多个开口处;
光调节器,其沿着所述反射层的边缘设置;以及
光学片,其设置在所述光源上;
其中,所述光调节器包括用于吸收从所述光源发射的光的一个或更多个吸收器;以及
其中,所述吸收器被不连续地设置在所述边缘的与最接近所述边缘的光源的位置相对应的部分。
2.根据权利要求1所述的面状照明装置,其中,所述光调节器包括一个或更多个反射器,所述反射器用于将从所述光源发射的光反射到由所述第一表面限定的区域的内侧或上部。
3.根据权利要求2所述的面状照明装置,其中,在所述边缘的部分不连续地设置所述反射器。
4.根据权利要求2所述的面状照明装置,其中,在所述边缘的与最接近所述边缘的相邻光源之间的区域相对应的部分不连续地设置所述反射器。
5.根据权利要求2所述的面状照明装置,其中,各个反射器包括与所述边缘接触的反射片或反射结构。
6.根据权利要求5所述的面状照明装置,其中,所述反射片或所述反射结构具有包括半圆形、椭圆形、或圆弧形形状的弯曲的横截面形状,或者具有包括三角形或梯形形状的多边形横截面形状。
7.根据权利要求1所述的面状照明装置,其中,所述光调节器包括用于将从所述光源发射的光反射到由所述反射层限定的区域的内侧或上部的多个反射器;以及
其中,所述吸收器设置在所述反射器之间。
8.根据权利要求2所述的面状照明装置,其中,将所述反射层弯曲来构成所述反射器。
9.一种面状照明装置,所述面状照明装置包括:
电路基板;
多个光源,所述多个光源安装在所述电路基板的第一表面上,使得所述多个光源以预定的距离间隔开;
第一反射层,所述第一反射层设置在所述电路基板上,所述第一反射层包括多个开口,相应的光源位于所述多个开口处;
光调节器,所述光调节器被不连续地设置在所述第一反射层的边缘的至少一部分上,所述光调节器对由接近所述边缘的多个光源之间在距离上的差别导致的亮度差别进行调节,其中所述光调节器包括第二反射层;以及
设置在所述光源上的光学片;
其中,所述光调节器包括具有设置在所述第二反射层上的多个通孔的孔图案。
10.根据权利要求9所述的面状照明装置,其中,在相对接近所述光源的区域中设置最大的通孔,随着与最大通孔的距离增加,通孔尺寸逐渐减小。
11.根据权利要求9所述的面状照明装置,所述孔图案以预定距离间隔开。
12.根据权利要求9所述的面状照明装置,其中,
所述通孔根据相对于所述光源的位置来改变尺寸。
13.根据权利要求9所述的面状照明装置,其中,所述光调节器连接在所述第一反射层的四个侧边缘处。
