技术领域
本发明属于显示技术领域,具体涉及一种显示基板及显示装置。
背景技术
有机发光显示二极管(OLED)作为一种电流型发光器件已越来越多地被应用于高性能显示中。在AMOLED背板设计中,主要需要解决的问题是像素和像素之间的亮度非均匀性。
在大尺寸显示应用中,由于背板电源线存在一定电阻,且所有像素的驱动电流都由电源VDD提供,因此在背板中靠近电源VDD供电位置区域的电源电压相比较离供电位置较远区域的电源电压要高,这种现象被称为IR Drop。由于电源VDD的电压与电流相关,IRDrop也会造成不同区域的电流差异,进而在显示时产生mura(显示不均一)。为降低VDD IRdrop,新增整面金属层作为VDD信号,降低VDD电阻,从而降低VDD IR drop。但VDD设计为整面金属层时,后续CVD制程由于电荷集聚在大面积金属层上,会导致电弧放电,损坏机台。
发明内容
本发明旨在至少解决现有技术中存在的技术问题之一,提供一种有效防止电弧放电损坏机台的显示基板及显示装置。
解决本发明技术问题所采用的技术方案是一种显示基板,包括:基底,位于所述基底上的多个像素单元;每个所述像素单元中均设置有发光器件;所述显示基板还包括位于所述基底上的驱动电极层;其中,
所述驱动电极层包括多个间隔设置的驱动电极块;每个所述驱动电极块与其对应的所述发光器件电连接,用于为所述发光器件提供驱动电压。
优选的是,所述显示基板还包括位于任意两相邻的所述驱动电极块之间的开关单元;所述开关单元,用于显示阶段打开,以使各个所述驱动电极块连接在一起。

解决本发明技术问题所采用的技术方案是一种显示装置,其包括上述的显示基板。

具体实施方式
为使本领域技术人员更好地理解本发明的技术方案,下面结合附图和具体实施方式对本发明作进一步详细描述。
如图1所示,提供一种像素驱动电路,该像素驱动电路包括:开关晶体管M1、驱动晶体管M2、存储电容C1,以及有机电致发光器件D1;其中,开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2可以为薄膜晶体管或场效应管或其他特性的相同器件,由于采用的晶体管的源极和漏极在一定条件下是可以互换的,所以其源极、漏极从连接关系的描述上是没有区别的。在本发明实施例中,为区分晶体管的源极和漏极,将其中一极称为第一极,另一极称为第二极,栅极称为控制极。
此外按照晶体管的特性区分可以将晶体管分为N型和P型,以下实施例中是以开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2为P型晶体管进行说明的。当采用P型晶体管时,第一极为P型晶体管的源极,第二极为P型晶体管的漏极,栅极输入低电平时,源漏极导通,N型相反。可以想到的是,采用晶体管为N型晶体管实现是本领域技术人员可以在没有付出创造性劳动前提下轻易想到的,因此也是在本发明实施例的保护范围内的。
同时,根据下述电流公式:
其中,为常数;VGS为栅源电压,Vdata为数据电压,VDD为电源电压。
可以看出的是,当开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2为P型晶体管时,发光器件D1的电流与VDD电极11的电源电压相关;同理,当开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2为N型晶体管时,发光器件D1的电流与VSS电极的电源电压相关。在下述实施例中是以开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2为P型晶体管为例进行说明的。
将上述的采用P性晶体管的像素驱动电路应用至显示基板的像素单元中时,显示基板中用以为发光器件D1,也即发光器件D1提供驱动电压的驱动电极层1中的驱动电极块则为上述的VDD电极11。具体结合下述实施例,对本发明中的显示基板进行说明。
实施例1:
结合图1和2所示,本实施例提供一种显示基板,包括:基底,设置在基底上的多个像素单元,每个像素单元中均包括像素驱动电路,像素驱动电路包括开关晶体管M1、驱动晶体管M2和发光器件D1;而且该显示基板还包括用以为像素驱动电路中的发光器件D1提供驱动电压,以及电源电压的驱动电极层1。特别的是,在本实施例的显示基板中驱动电极层1包括多个间隔设置的VDD电极11;每个VDD电极11与其对应的发光器件D1电连接,用以为与其连接发光器件D1提供驱动电压,以产生驱动电流。
在此需要说明的是,在本实施例中每个VDD电极11对应呈阵列排布的多个像素单元中的发光器件D1,也即多个发光器件D1连接同一个VDD电极11。
由于本实施例中的驱动电极层1(也即金属层)包括间隔设置的多个VDD电极11,从而可以有效的避免在形成驱动电极层1之后形成其它膜层时,电荷聚集在大面积金属层,出现电弧放电导致机台损坏的问题。
其中,本实施例的显示基板还包括位于任意两相邻的VDD电极11之间的开关单元2;该开关单元2用于显示阶段打开,以使各个VDD电极11连接在一起。也就是说,在显示阶段可以通过同一个信号控制多个VDD电极11,从而可以优化显示基板的布线。
具体的,开关单元2可以为第一开关晶体管T1;其中,该第一开关晶体管T1的第一极的连接两相邻的VDD电极11中一者,两相邻的VDD电极11中另一者连接开关晶体管M1的第二极,该第一开关晶体管T1的控制极连接驱动芯片4。
优选的,第一开关晶体管T1的开关特性与像素驱动电路中的开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2的开关特性相同。也就是说,开关晶体管M1和驱动晶体管M2为P型晶体管,第一开关晶体管T1同样为P型晶体管。
其中,如图3所示,每个VDD电极11通过驱动线3与其对应的像素驱动电路中的驱动晶体管M2的第一极连接。驱动晶体管M2的第一极和第二极,所述开关晶体管M1的第一极和第二极,以及所述驱动线3同层设置,且材料相同;其中,在所述驱动线3所在层与驱动电极层1之间设置有层间绝缘层;VDD电极11通过贯穿层间绝缘层的连接过孔与驱动线3连接。该种设置方式可以简化显示基板的制备方工艺,且能够节约成本。
其中,在本实施例中每个VDD电极11采用Ti/Al/Ti(钛/铝/钛)复合膜层;每个VDD电极11的尺寸小于5inch。当然,对于VDD电极11材料的选取以及尺寸的设计具体根据显示基板的尺寸而定。
其中,本实施例中的发光器件D1包括Micro LED或mini LED。
具体的,由于在现有技术中Micro LED或mini LED像素驱动电路为μA级电流,是有机电致发光二极管的1000多倍,故VDD电极11的压降对Micro LED或mini LED的发光亮度影响较大,而在本实施例中通过上述的改进,不仅可以缓解VDD电极11的压降的问题,而且还可以有效防止形成驱动电极层1之后形成其它膜层时,电荷聚集在大面积金属层,出现电弧放电导致机台损坏的问题。
在此需要说明的是,在本实施例的显示基板中也可以将像素驱动电路中的VSS电极设计为与VDD电极11相类似的结构,也即可以将VSS电极设计为块状电极,这样一来,可以降低显示基板工作的功耗。当VSS电极采用块状电极时,此时任意两相邻的VSS电极也可以通过开关单元连接在一起,并通过同一控制线进行控制各个开关单元,以方便对VSS电极的控制,以及电压信号的写入。
实施例2:
本实施例提供一种显示装置,其包括实施例1中的显示基板,故本实施例的显示装置的性能较好。
该显示装置可以为:电子纸、OLED面板、手机、平板电脑、电视机、显示器、笔记本电脑、数码相框、导航仪等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。
可以理解的是,以上实施方式仅仅是为了说明本发明的原理而采用的示例性实施方式,然而本发明并不局限于此。对于本领域内的普通技术人员而言,在不脱离本发明的精神和实质的情况下,可以做出各种变型和改进,这些变型和改进也视为本发明的保护范围。
Claims (11)
1.一种显示基板,包括:基底,位于所述基底上的多个像素单元;每个所述像素单元中均设置有发光器件;其特征在于,所述显示基板还包括位于所述基底上的驱动电极层;其中,
所述驱动电极层包括多个间隔设置的驱动电极块;每个所述驱动电极块与其对应的所述发光器件电连接,用于为所述发光器件提供驱动电压。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示基板,其特征在于,所述显示基板还包括位于任意两相邻的所述驱动电极块之间的开关单元;所述开关单元,用于显示阶段打开,以使各个所述驱动电极块连接在一起。
3.根据权利要求2所述的显示基板,其特征在于,每个所述开关单元均包括第一开关晶体管;其中,
所述第一开关晶体管的第一极连接两相邻的所述驱动电极块中一者,两相邻的所述驱动电极块中另一者连接所述第一开关晶体管的第二极,所述第一开关晶体管的控制极连接驱动芯片。
4.根据权利要求3所述的显示基板,其特征在于,每个所述像素单元中还包括驱动晶体管;其中,
每个所述驱动电极块通过驱动线与其所述对应的所述像素单元中的所述驱动晶体管的第一极连接。
5.根据权利要求4所述的显示基板,其特征在于,所述驱动晶体管的第一极和第二极,所述开关晶体管的第一极和第二极,以及所述驱动线同层设置,且材料相同;其中,
在所述驱动线所在层与所述驱动电极层之间设置有层间绝缘层;所述驱动电极块通过贯穿所述层间绝缘层的连接过孔与所述驱动线连接。
6.根据权利要求4所述的显示基板,其特征在于,所述驱动晶体管和所述开关晶体管的开关特性相同。
7.根据权利要求4所述显示基板,其特征在于,当所述驱动晶体管为P型晶体管时,所述驱动电极块为VDD电极;当所述驱动晶体管为N型晶体管时,所述驱动电极块为VSS电极。
8.根据权利要求1所述的显示基板,其特征在于,所述驱动电极块包括Ti/Al/Ti复合膜层。
9.根据权利要求1所述的显示基板,其特征在于,所述驱动电极块的尺寸小于5inch。
10.根据权利要求1所述的显示基板,其特征在于,所述发光器件包括:Micro LED或mini LED。
11.一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括权利要求1-10中任一项所述的显示基板。
