Abstract

The perpetual calendar mechanism for a watch includes a differential gear train (6) with a satellite carrying plate (1) which includes a month star (2) and a month cam (3). The differential train establishes a transmission ratio of four between the month indicator and year indicators (16,19), for example by a multiplier ratio. In this way, the mechanism can show the month and year information with respect to fixed markers provided on the dial (C).
