Description

Saupoudroir.

Sprinkle. The object of the invention is a sprinkler consisting of a container provided with a screw cover, characterized in that this cover comprises a series of holes which are discovered one after the other in ever increasing number. as you unscrew the cover.

Preferably, the cover will consist of a screw cap in the side wall of which are pierced orifices which rotation of the cap, during unscrewing, brings one by one above the edge of the container.

The appended drawing shows, by way of example, a sprinkler according to the present invention in elevation, partly in section through a median plane.

The sprinkler shown is a salt shaker. The bottle 1 can be made of glass or any metal. Its upper part 2 has a diameter much smaller than that of the bottle. It bears an external thread 3 which cooperates with the internal thread 4 of the cap 5 screwed onto the narrowed part of the bottle. For the closure to be perfect, there is interposed, between the upper edge of the bottle and the bottom of the cap, a gasket 6 made of plastic material.

In the side wall of the cap are pierced openings 7 which are located on an ascending line corresponding to the screw thread connecting the cap to the bottle. When the latter is closed, the whole series of holes is covered by the wall of the upper part of the bottle. If you unscrew the cap, the openings 7 arrive one after the other above the edge of the bottle. The more we unscrew, the more the number of holes increases, so that we can dose the amount of powder that we want to release with each shaking of the sprinkler.

Compared to the sprinklers whose closure member has a certain number of holes through which the contents of the bottle is constantly in contact with the ambient air, the sprinkler described has the advantage of being able to be closed hermetically while allowing to dose the 6 powder at will.
