thereof, which belong to the technical field of dairy products processing.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The age of three to fourteen is the best period for children's physical and
psychological development, and the most active period of growth. During this period, the
brain has been enhanced than before, sleep time is shortened, active time is increased,
various abilities are developing upward, and more importantly, personality is initially
formed. Therefore, sufficient energy and high-quality nutrition are needed to meet the
needs of rapid growth.
DHA is docosahexaenoic acid, and it is an omega-3 fatty acid necessary for eye
health, brain development, and supporting many aspects of health throughout the body.
For children, appropriate levels of DHA is critical for proper brain development and growth.
DHA is also important for eye health and function, as the retina of the eye contains a high
amount of DHA fatty acid.
DHA is found in high concentrations in human breast milk because the brain grows
fastest during infancy and DHA is needed to support the brain's growth and development.
For infants not receiving breast milk, researchers of companies add DHA to their products
because it is needed during this period of rapid growth and development. Parents may
also want to supplement with DHA drops specially formulated for infants.
Several researchers have observed that kids with ADHD have lower levels of
omega-3s, including DHA, in their cells and bloodstream. If ADHD might be due, even in
part, to DHA deficiency, then we could hope that increasing DHA intake might be helpful.
But there's also some evidence that these lower blood levels aren't due to lower intake but
due to some sort of problem with fatty acid metabolism-in which case, increasing intake
wouldn't do any good. In a few studies where they've given omega-3 supplements to kids
with ADHD, only got a little improvements.
DHA deficiency may be common among children with ADHD, according to a report
published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2000. However, it's not known
whether DHA supplements can help treat ADHD in children.
For instance, a study in 2001 from the Journal of Pediatrics, researchers found that
four months of DHA supplementation failed to decrease symptoms in a group of children
with ADHD. The study involved 63 who are six to 12-year-old children, each of whom
received 345 milligrams (mg) of DHA or a placebo daily. An article published in the journal
Lipids in 2017 reviewed 16 randomized controlled trials. Thirteen studies reported
favorable benefits in ADHA symptoms including in hyperactivity, impulsivity, attention,
visual learning, word reading, and working/short term memory.
More studies are needed looking at the effectiveness of DHA in this area and it is
too soon to routinely recommend DHA supplements as an adjunctive therapy to possibly
reduce the amount of standard medication needed.
Brain Health
For example, a study in 2009, there are 90 healthy children whose ages are from 10 to 12 (published in Nutritional Neuroscience) found that eight weeks of DHA supplementation did not have a beneficial effect on brain function.
On the other hand, a study in 2008, there are 175 healthy four-year-old children
(published in Clinical Pediatrics) who were found that higher blood levels of DHA were
linked to higher scores on vocabulary tests.
When children don't get appropriate amounts of DHA many physical and mental
health problems can occur. Research studies have shown that infants consuming low
levels of DHA can have poor vision and brain development. There is also evidence that
children with lower DHA levels may have more difficulties with academic learning,
including reading and math, memory, and classroom behaviors. Reduced levels of DHA
are also linked to mental health issues such as depression, disruptive and aggressive
behavior, impulsivity and hyperactivity, poor focus, and anxiety.
Studies have shown that children with ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental
disorders may have low levels of DHA that contribute to their symptoms. Increasing DHA
may help improve symptoms of these disorders, including learning impairments,
inattention, hyperactivity, aggression, and other behavior problems. Increasing Omega-3
fatty acid levels, including DHA, is a common and important nutritional recommendation
for children exhibiting symptoms of these disorders.
Dosing of DHA supplements can vary widely, and there is not yet a clear consensus about
the exact amount that is most beneficial for children or adults. However, a common
recommendation is that children age two and older take 500mg of DHA via fish oil supplements. Studies conducted on children with developmental, learning and mental health symptoms have shown that significantly higher doses may be helpful.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In view of the above technical problems in the prior art, the present invention provides
a milk powder for young children and its preparation method, specially designed and
produced for three to fourteen-year-old preschool children's nutritional supplement food,

iron pyrophosphate 0.03-0.04 parts, lactoferrin powder 0.02- 0.03 copies.

The preparation method of the nano-DHA microcapsules includes the following steps:
(1) Firstly, stir quinoa starch and water in a water bath at 65-75C for 0.5-1h to obtain
an aqueous suspension of quinoa starch, the mass percentage concentration of the

(2) The aqueous suspension of quinoa starch is pre-emulsified and then modified by
high-pressure homogenization;

(1) Firstly, stir quinoa starch and water at 65C water bath for 1 hour to obtain an
aqueous suspension of quinoa starch, the mass percentage concentration of the aqueous

(2) The aqueous suspension of quinoa starch is pre-emulsified, and it is processed by
a high-pressure homogenizer, and the pressure used by the high-pressure homogenizer
is 5MPa; then the high-pressure homogenizer is modified by a high-pressure
homogenizer, the pressure is 7580MPa;
(3) Add sodium caseinate and stir to form a mixed liquid at 75C, and the weight ratio
of the high-pressure homogenized modified quinoa starch and sodium caseinate is 1:0.5;
(4) The mixture and the DHA nanoparticles are stirred and mixed at 75C, and
subjected to high-pressure homogenization to obtain an emulsion; the DHA nanoparticles
account for 32.7% of the microcapsules by mass.
(5) Finally, the emulsion is spray-dried into microcapsule powder, which is carried out using a spray dryer, the inlet temperature is set at 180°C, the outlet temperature is set at
100°C, and the feed rate is set at 7.5mL/min.

The preparation properties of the milk powder were measured. The preparation
properties of the milk powders of Examples 1 to 3 were all good, without agglomerates,
without precipitation at the bottom of the cup, and the system was uniform and stable.

WE CLAIM IS:
1. A milk powder for young children, characterized by being prepared from the following
parts by weight of raw materials: 61.4-63.7 parts of whole milk powder, 15.3-16.6 parts of
butter milk powder lipid, 13.8-16.2 parts of dextrose anhydrous, 2.1-2.9 parts of
polyfructose (from Inulin) , Milk calcium 1.1-1.5 parts, GOS 0.9-1.3 parts, DHA 0.3-0.5
parts, vitamin and mineral premix for young children 0.12-0.18 parts, sodium ascorbate
0.05-0.07 parts, iron pyrophosphate 0.03-0.04 parts, Lactoferrin powder 0.02-0.03 parts.
2. A milk powder for young children according to claim 1, wherein the vitamin and mineral
premix for young children, the mineral premix includes calcium phosphate, calcium citrate,
calcium chloride, sodium chloride, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate and sodium
selenite; vitamin premixes include dl-a-tocopheryl acetate, nicotinamide, calcium
D-pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, thiamine hydrochloride , Thiamine

the DHA is nano-DHA microcapsules, including DHA nanoparticles and shell of
microcapsule wrapped around the DHA nanoparticles; the shell of capsule is made of
high-pressure homogenized modified quinoa starch and sodium caseinate.
5. The preparation method of milk powder for young children according to claim 3,
wherein the preparation method of the nano-DHA microcapsules includes the following
steps:
(1) Firstly, stir quinoa starch and water in a water bath at 65-75C for 0.5-1h to obtain an
aqueous suspension of quinoa starch, the mass percentage concentration of the aqueous
suspension of quinoa starch is 12-23%;
(2) The aqueous suspension of quinoa starch is pre-emulsified and then modified by
high-pressure homogenization;
(3) Add sodium caseinate and stir to form a mixed solution at 65-75C, the weight ratio of
the high-pressure homogeneous modified quinoa starch and sodium caseinate is 1:0.5-3;
(4) Stir the mixed liquid with DHA nanoparticles at 65-75C, and homogenize them under
high pressure to obtain an emulsion; the DHA nano particles account for 25-35% of the
mass percentage of microcapsules.
(5) Finally, the emulsion is spray-dried into microcapsule powder.
