Abstract
Un proceso de conversion de SO2 en sales de interés comercial comprende los pasos de: a) llevar a cabo una primer etapa de absorcion que comprende poner en contacto una corriente gaseosa de ingreso (1) que comprende SO2 con una primer fase de absorcion (2) que comprende sulfito y bisulfito de metal alcalino, alcalino terreo o amonio, a un pH de entre 8 y 4,5, b) sobresaturar la fase que comprende sulfito y bisulfito de metal alcalino, alcalino térreo o de amonio y provocar la precipitacion de los cristales de meta bisulfito de metal alcalino o alcalino térreo o de amonio, c) llevar a cabo una segunda etapa de absorcion que comprende poner en contacto la corriente gaseosa (1') que egresa de la primer etapa de absorcion (a), con una segunda fase de absorcion (6) que comprende sulfito de metal alcalino o alcalino térreo o de amonio a un pH de entre 9 y 7, y d) sobresaturar la fase que comprende sulfito de metal alcalino o alcalino térreo o de amonio, y provocar la precipitacion de cristales de sulfito de metal alcalino, alcalino térreo o de amonio.A process of converting SO2 into salts of commercial interest comprises the steps of: a) carrying out a first absorption stage comprising contacting an inlet gas stream (1) comprising SO2 with a first absorption phase (2 ) comprising sulphite and bisulfite of alkali metal, alkaline earth or ammonium, at a pH between 8 and 4.5, b) supersaturating the phase comprising sulphite and bisulfite of alkali metal, alkaline earth or ammonium and causing the precipitation of the meta bisulfite crystals of alkali metal or alkaline earth or ammonium metal, c) carrying out a second absorption stage comprising contacting the gas stream (1 ') that exits from the first absorption stage (a), with a second absorption phase (6) comprising alkali metal or alkaline earth or ammonium metal sulphite at a pH between 9 and 7, and d) supersaturating the phase comprising alkali metal or alkaline earth or ammonium metal sulphite, and causing the cr precipitation sulfite istals of alkali metal, alkaline earth or ammonium.
